so i wanted to ask, since noone ever gives a list of whats ad or physical dmg, do you have to learn that from the get go (since items are the most important thing) or is there a source that tells you?
"The biggest thing that tends to lead people astray, is the dragon"
Me with only 2 games played: There's a dragon?
thats what i was thinkin
no, there is like 6 or 7 or smt

tbh, i created a Account on Saturday and am a comple rookie. watching this very in depth analysis for beginners makes me question if i even should get into this game, where there are no more real beginners. x)
There are plenty of new people, with the show also bringing in a fresh crowd. You just have to accept its a competitive team game and you will lose sometimes. Don’t play a ton of games in a row if you aren’t having fun cause the fatigue will mount.
You're going to get matched against basically exclusively new players when queueing up for normal games, so that isn't really the biggest issue. You might face a few smurfs in your first games, but the game has a pretty good detection to put these into a seperate queue.
Started playing about 3 weeks ago. Still getting the hang of it but its fun.
Dont worry about the complexity of things and the skill/attitude of other players, its all quite managable and I have personally seen verry little of that famous lol toxicity.
Most people are fine with you being new to the game or a specific role.
You're going to get flamed, bullied, reported, many times, but hey the game is fun and maybe you can play with a premade group of friends so you're sure that they don't flame yku
Nah dude, espically rn after arcane, many new players playing the game, just trust me I used to get scared from getting judged by my teammates when I started the game, litearlly just go and play for fun, best tip ever fr.
I think the biggest issues with new players for league is the fact that so many people are not receptive to new players. Then the amount of smurfs and such in the game just kind of ruin the game as well. I've nothing against people being great at the game and everything but hell ive been trying to learn league since 2015ish and everytime it just seems overwhelming with the amount of people who expect you to play like you are in the world finals off the rip.
Played off and on since 2014. Game has changed a lot. Every time I get the urge to come back, the chat box ruins it for me. Ping guys that I’m going in to yank and they stand around and do nothing, then get greedy and try and kill steal after I did all the work/they did nothing. Or, they chase and the enemy team gets a double or triple. For me to then get flamed for benign a bad JG and JG diff. Fan base is awful
@@TerraOblivion27 yeah I love league from time to time but it’s just rough coming back because everyone makes Smurf accounts and so everyone just assumes even low level players should know everything about the game lol
bro ive been playing for a week and i get absolutly wrecked every game idk how some of these players at rank 12 are just one shoting me every match the second we get to rank 6 in game and then i get fucked on
@@jacobcarroll2848 yeah league is a rough game to play because of the smurfs. It makes it hard for new or at least less experienced players to get better. Then when you don’t play the way others want you to they just flame you the whole time.
Me playing for 11 years: “finally a video for me”
Same bro. I've been playing for over 10 years and I learned a few things from this video. No wonder I'm bad at this game lol.
Coming from a background of FPS games such as CSGO, I thought I'd give this game a try because my buddy really enjoyed it. This video was super informative and not one bit confusing. I find most people who make videos like this typically carry on the complicated lingo and such into their tutorial tips and tricks videos, but you did a good job of dumbing down the pace for someone like me.
Thank you so much for making this video after Arcane has pulled in so many new players! This is really good timing (likely intentional :P ) so kudos!
Me: *plays LoL since 2018*
Also me: I have to watch this video
same
I feel like this wasn’t a beginner video at all. I’m still clueless.
Yeah, its still too much information. The gist of it is as beginner: Just follow recommended Items, Drake and Towers aren't important unless you are 80% sure you will survive, try not stay still while attacking and make sure you zig zag your movement. The rest comes with just playing. Keep in mind, after a while, you will be playing against people who are on the same level at you so don't feel pressured and go nuts!
yeah like bro just randomly brought up some dragon wtf??
LITREALLY. sir i don't think "beginner" is the word want here
It seems like things haven't changed much on UA-cam compared to when I tried LoL a few years back. So many videos that claim to be for beginners, and all of them leave you clueless. Too many terms I've never heard before, too much information, "demonstrations" of some principle that probably make a lot of sense to seasoned players, but not to a literal beginner who doesn't really know what's happening...
me too
Thank you so much I have literally just started playing and I have been making steady progress but this is really helping me boost myself further. Thank you 😁
thank you so much!!! needed this!
Zwag Xerath is actually very good at explaining what he's doing on the lane and why ! He explain all the matchup, how to play them and he explain his macro actions !
Yeah as a noob I love Zwag's videos & watching him play all the champs really helps me with my game/matchup knowledge. That being said, I will 100% int with some of his builds haha
His channel is not one that someone learning the game should watch. The builds are jokes and he stomps every game he puts up on the channel, new players who want to learn should look at other channels on the platform.
@@Sedr1s i think a variety of channels is the most optimal way to learn. skillcapped id good to learn specific tactic but Id have to focus a lot more. with Zwag, I can casually watch, learn the abilities of champs that I've no unlocked yet, and see how a diamond elo approaches the game depending on what champ he's playing on vs against, how he itemises, and how he reacts to the gamestate. I've learned loads from both Zwag and skillcapped and I'd definitely be a worse league player if i didnt watch zwag at all
@@mykolharper i barely watch skill capped. But I’ve seen enough of zwag and SRO and similar creators to know that watching dunk fests is a terrible way to learn.
@@Sedr1s to each his own, Im learning lots
So nice of Ezreal to give us a tips & tricks video!
Thank you so much this helped a lot
I always knew LOL was completely different and more complicated that Arena of Valor. But the of how different astonishes me. Thank you for the advice
by far most helpful beginner guide watched so far. Thanks!
Thank you! I have always found Summoners Rift so overwhelming 😅 especially as a noob myself. The toxic behaviour and excessive (not needed) pinging can really turn me off from playing (thank god for being able to mute players), although I have had my acc since 2019, but I don't play it as much as I would like due to my lack of knowledge and some players behaviors. I would love to play the game more, i find the characters (play style, designs and lore) really interesting. I hope to get better at league without looking like a noob😆
Same .. today I‘ve played my really first game and got insulted immediatly! Turned my PC off afterwards 😢
I started playing Jan 21, 2022. I'm now a summoner level 26 and my biggest advice for beginners? Give a decent effort. When I'm in a beginner bot game and I play a totally new champ from free rotation I have no familiarity with and do twice the damage as a summoner 50, it's pretty awkward. I now know why some people get so frustrated.
Weird Zwag is on the list. Watching and listening to him play and explain why he buys things or builds certain runes is how I learned. He got me into the game and by watching him and learning different builds and play styles he did it helped me improve immensely. Especially when facing Xeraths
What did bro teach you about playing against xeraths? Asking for a friend
right? hes super like calm and educational, gives tips etc. and hes not hiding that he plays on alt accounts either
Zwag is awesome honestly helpful with his builds
Not i get why using abilities felt so junky.
thank you so much i just started yesterday
Hi, how do you have that blue range for your autoattacks? Why is it beneficial?
honestly I watched the video on 2x and it was still easy to follow. Good video!
The funniest part of the 6:25 mark for me is that Lux didn't combo correctly. She hit Q for the root and threw out her E, immediately proccing it, and THEN autoattacked, missing out on one AA of her passive damage. Her Ultimate was then not able to trigger her passive. Lux might've got Jinx down to a sliver of health, or even killed her outright, if she had done it correctly.
Q, AA proc passive, E, R, Trigger E, R hits and procs the passive that E gave, AA proc passive that R gave.
Even better if Lux throws out her W right before the fight even starts, or just after landing her Q, so that she gets the shield rebound and can survive one more AA from Jinx, possibly getting her Q or E back off cooldown to finish Jinx off.
holy shit i'm never going to be able to play this well, this was like a different language T_T
no one in low elo will do that btw, plus you need to be in aa range
@@fifi6958same same
Do ya'll have any good places where I can start learning this gamer language?? I want to join this community but I just don't know a lot of things
@@fifi6958 Bro what did I just read 💀
Now i get it why my opponents attack so quick, never heard of the slow down animation before thx
Nah the “I will get racist” at 8:46 is really how it be 💀😭
Neva played this but wanted to finally try it. Any point in me starting now or jus play a different game?…
I can't stress enough that you should always prioritize rift over drake, because the time span you're pushing lanes with rift, you can take down 2-3 towers and even their base or end game while enemies are contesting drake. Destroying the outer towers of a lane, especially mid, is a huge lane advantage for later engagement and contesting for objectives for your team. Drake also doesn't really do anything until you get soul, so you should not stress too much about it. It's about trading objectives for it. If you're trading an inhibitor for a drake, that's completely a good trade for you, because then you can focus just on 2 lanes and not worry about the lane that has super minions. Not to mention if you capitalize on those plates with rift on early-mid game, you'll have a huge gold advantage for your whole team. If you capitalize on those advantages, you'll most likely end the game prior 30 minutes mark. As all the lanes are pushed into enemy's base, you can take objectives and have map control way more easily, because they have to defend and clear the wave or they'll risk losing more towers and structures.
whats rift and drake?
As a new player that just started a week ago, the amount of grief that goes around in unranked fresh accounts is absolutely absurd.
Me as a Shyvana main:"Kill dragons kill".
What are some good champions for a new player to use to try to learn the game before branching off to harder to use champions?
Guide: Towers aren't everything

I really did not expect I would ever see Hikaru in League video 😀 nice

beautiful note about chemtech drake
man i realy want to get into league but im always getting shit talked in game and also i do not understand fully what to do or better sayed how to do it right... its so frustrating if you also get shit talked even if you give ur best already...
Zwag does fun builds, but he can be serious when needed
But that's what they mean, don't take fun builds from these yt channels because they're not consistent and won't help you climb.
How does zwag climb then
@@cupidok2768 he uses Smurf accs to make fun videos for his viewers, he's not climbing when he's playing these picks lol
@@KingOfDemons123 exactly

Worst game for new players ever.
I love how when he talks about smurfs Zwag's youtube channel comes up 😂
i still remember my first game of lol. it was twisted fate... i went bot lane.. it was my first pc online game so i didnt know about QWER.
it was bad kekw.
So I am having a strange issue in LoL. I am not playing long, but when I buy new items, I sometimes accidentally replace the old ones with the new ones. So how do I fix this problem???
How is this for beginners? I did understand a single thing about how damage works in this game
best video ever b/c #2. Low elo has an obsession over dragon
I don’t know why but the community has gotten so much nicer since i first played around 2 years ago. I took a long break after my first 3 games and came back recently
When I started to play, I saw a video about a Teemo AD, back in S8
So, I climbed to Silver playing only Teemo AD
Nice, I climbed to bronze 2 with AP trynd. We've probably played against each other
@@reedharvey3793 I'm from LAN, I'm pretty sure we haven't
Why teemo ad works when u can play a adc with actual ad
@@cupidok2768 Cause Teemo AD also used Wit's End and was playing him in top
@@johangelrodriguez6835 you can wit's end on any ad marksman vayne arshan kalista
The dragon thing is not only relevant for new players but for ALL players :D. So many games are lost because dragon is overvalued, it's crazy.
Regarding towers, it's important to note that damage on the tier 1 and tier 2 towers will stay, while inhib towers and nexus towers heal over time. So doing damage is worth it sometimes.
Quick cast with indicator gang rise up. Honestly not sure how people play without this...
I love how skill capped is flaming nightblue3 lol
I always played league for a day and then quit.
I just reached a new PR, this is the second day I've been playing and my main issue is CR and just camera movement.
I vent gold2 from silver 4 this season just dodge 2-3 Times every day. I hate my self for not learn this earlyer. In silver i find it useful for tank becuse games allways go late.
So if team has no tank I dodge. It worked for me but not allways.
my brother make fun of me bcs I like making trolpicks but I always need to fit in my team dmg I mean if my team if full ad I would more likely take sylas/teemo (trolpicks) then senna/pyke/pantheon(normal suports)
«don’t get dragon baited because early drake don’t give that much »
Shyvana : « Are you sure about that ? »
Always with the great videos.
This season was the easiest season for me to climb to gold with a 55% win game sub 100 games from a silver 4 placement.
There's so many small things in the game that many don't have knowledge on, so while my trashy silver teammates are throwing the lead with a 3man BARON (adc had died), 4 v 5 drag are flaming me,
I secured 2 inhibs top and bot
Senna sucks at pushing towers, relative to most adcs) but someone's got to do it
500 games later stuck in elo hell in silver
These players have such w massive ego its insane
Players will fight for the 3rd spawned dragon immediately after we got baron buff
Disable Chat. Mute pings if abused once. Best tip I can give you^^
Surprised you didn't mention learning to play with unlocked camera
Best thing that makes me play better is focus on what you need to do what what you want to do make a plan and stick to it it's my ADHD that's like yo I'ma fight that guy for no reason die and get too far behind lol
There are so many buttons, so many options and possibilities, so many different game styles, champions, stories and whatnot in this game.
I dont understand them, I can't keep up with them.
What button do I need to press to get here?
How do I navigate in the map?
Where do I find a good match?
How do I use the chat?
I don't know how to answer any of these questions and I have a thousand more questions.
This whole game is so overwhelming and I really want to get better at it, but I just dont know where to start.
I was told to get better at the game before I could play it with friends, but I don't like playing alone and I don't know how to improve if I don't even know how to control my champion.
Can someone explain a few buttons and interfaces to me? Loot, daily missions and especially champions are mysterious areas for me
Is it better to play the champion you want or stick to tier lists or at least consider them?
well, the tier list is there for a reason, but especially for new players id recommend them picking 1 champ and just maining them til they are good with all the mechanics, what champs do, items and especially farming and macro. since it doenst help if you just jump from champ to champ cuz of a tier list when you dont even know how a match should be played generally
The best advice I have ever got -> Think about the stuff you CAN do and evalueate the options you have and follow one of these paths.
Nobody cares that you WANT to do drake. People care about certain objectives if you actually CAN do them.
Never ask yourself ingame "What do I want to do?" but rather ask yourself what you CAN do.
That "Can-question" has to be solved before you go to the "I want stage"
You delete emotional and dumb decisios from your gameplay that way
Works in real life aswell
wow.. i really don’t know what to say.. that seems like good advice i will try it out in the games i play and in real life. thank you for sharing brother
I am currently lvl 100+ and I am incredibly scared of solo norms because i fell like i suck (i do) and i dont like feeling like the reason why my team is losing
"Beginner tips" He says.
I bet most players that play this game for years don't even know/do these things lol.
Played a game with senna last night
Killed gromp with senna, enemy garen charging at me, and I tried hitting blast come and there was awkwardly long enough pause for garen to 1 combo me
Was to lazy to do 1 click to cancel animations
Senna is a tricky one to kite, unless you really know how to utilise her Q and range. Her AA animation is soooo slow, so....
as a new player why in the world does the game place you with 100+ level players in your ranked games only to stomp you and lose 9 out of 10 placements and be put in iron 3. Why not be placed in iron from the start to have a chance and at least end up in iron 2 or 1 winning some placements games. And after being placed in iron 3 after losing 9 placements ranked games only now you play against your level players and have fun in the game
what the heck is magic damage and atack damage? what do you mean you can build resistance?
Whats the best starter?

Can skill capped have wild rift channel
i understand, that it is important to pick the right champion in the draft phase but i think you miss the point that a new player doesnt know all or any champions and their prefered damage. It is also important to understand that if you make a guide or tips video for new players, that you cant talk about itemizing and counter building items because the item system is one of the most confusing things for a new player.
I came here after my friend yelled at me for not farming minions. I was wondering why everyone was killing me so fast 😂
yeah why is Zwag on the clickbait list 😳 I've played league since 2013 and I find his content really educational still, a lot of good tips etc
