Came for lol advice stayed for life advice
Hehe
Does that mean life is lol?!?!?!?!?
@@datakan1343 well im the lol player who is playing league 24 7 in her life so my life is lol :/
How to actually improve at league my way, in no particular order.
1. League should still be fun, despite the toxicity. if you constantly play tilted or you just don't have fun playing, find ways to regain the pleasure of playing.
2. Actually practice in practice tool. Practice clearing jungle camps (as a jungle), practice farming with different champs, practice combos on dummys, practice hypothetical scenarios. Sure dummys don't move, but it's better than nothing. IDGAF if you don't have time to go in practice tool, it literally takes 5-10-15 mins to practice.
3. Watch videos, champion guides, high-elo gameplay, smurf gameplay, etc.
4. Actually play some games. If you play one ranked game a day, fine. But you need to put the hours in if you want to see some progress.
5. Stop blaming your team and focus on yourself. This is just like any sports, rewatch your games and learn from it.
6. Play sober. How many fucking times I've played against/with drunk/high teammates. I'm not not your mom or dad, do what you want,. if weed makes you more focused fine, but its not indefinite. The more you smoke, the more focus you'll lose. Drinking is worse.
7. You heard this before, limit your champ pool, especially in ranked. Stick to 1 to 4 champs (some people will say 3) for ranked games.
8. As much as I hate skillcaped always promoting their fucking class, they're actually good. Try a month, you'll learn shit.
This applies for Valorant and every other game holy
Honestly, as troll as this sounds, I started playing ivern top. I've never had so much fun since I started playing the game. it's so challenging and fun.
Spot on list, dude.
You dropped this 👑
The drug part is so true lmao. I hit my skill ceiling at Silver 1 and couldn't go past it because I smoked pot before nearly every game.
After playing the game since release, I can honestly say that I have understood conceptually every single video that has been made on this channel. The problem arises when you try and put these concepts into practice.
That problem can be remedied by practice and "hand eye coordination" of said experience where by you just flow with what you know, All this information is key, but it takes experience to put it into action and knowing how each match up plays out.
Some things are champion specific and need vod review. Have you tried both of these at the same time?
Note!: Vod review means that like is chess you should pause and think in some situations for minutes at a time understanding all of it's nuances and variations.
Focus on one technique at a time, and only move on once you feel like you have an idea of how to apply it in practice (don't play until you master it, it's boring and a bad way of learning). DON'T try to learn everything at once, it won't work and you'll just end up feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. Also, make sure you're always thinking during your games. It's super easy to fall into autopiloting, especially if you're a long time player, but you really have to try to not do it. VOD reviewing helps, like the other person said.
I have been sticking to just playing one champion unless banned of course and that has helped me climb because i can focus more on the macro aspects of the game and not my champions mechanics
Me personally I’ll rotate like 3 champs for my main position so I always have an option when banned or just wanna do something different
I don't really like playing only one champion because that bores me really fast even while going on a winstreak. I'm not sure why but that's how I function, ending up in a weird spot where I have multiple picks at multiple lanes but still can't climb. Kinda dumb.
My year long skill-capped subscription has helped me SO MUCH in learning this game. I started playing League LAST YEAR and as soon as I got the subscription, I immediately started winning more games
(This comment is sponsored by Skill Capped)
@@MickyAspire it’s actually not though, as funny as that is
@@celloj3703 what elo diff did you get? Im onsidering it bc ive been styuck in g4 for 4 years
Thanks Skill Capped. I thought i am bad only in league of legends. Thanks to you now i know that i am bad in all games in general 👍
As someone who's been playing league for 8 years, and also plays Yugioh, STS, Pool, ECT. Its a really good point being made about thinking slightly ahead and when to lose HP is OKAY to do. Heck! a lesson I was taught as a child for games, "as long as you have 1 life left the games winnable". Helpful guide, Though I would like to see a guide teaching how to play more as a team and from behind. I keep losing games because people keep giving up and tilting without knowing how to come back from behind.
I feel like what helps things 'click' and what helps consistent implementation depends on the person;
In my case, I think it helps me to play games, each time with one improvement objective in mind. E.g. "This game, I'm going to focus on winning lane using the bush" "This game I'm going to focus on shoving wave and learning for good roam opportunities" etc. So it doesn't matter if I win or lose the game as long as I was able to implement and assimilate that one thing.
Fastest way to learn: get good
😂
npc
One more thing I could add: Doing some basic stretches and aerobic exercises before playing to get the blood pumping to your brain can make a world of a difference. It'll make you feel good and be better focused when you go into a match.
This is true asf. I started going on runs before playing and I’ve never played better. I’m not sure how it helps but, it definitely does.
What I like about this video is it teaches you how to think during a game instead of what to think. I think that makes sense😅
Skillcapped: You gotta play different at different elos
Also Skillcapped: You should play the same fundamentally good way no matter what, like chess!
Love you guys
It depends on the situation. Somethings are going to on average work better in lower elo like certain champions and tactics than in higher elo so its better to play them.
But those tactics should also be valid tactics assume the opponents play correctly like in higher elo even if it significantly worse.
With that in mind if a tactic requires your enemy to make a mistake or you lose its not a good tactic.
Just a small correction and a fun fact: the art of war by Sun Tzu was not actually written by him. It is however attributed to him.
That is great analysis. I'm currently working on a Master's Thesis on Mathematical Education. I'm primarily working on Games and History of games and how those help with mathematical learning.
Those parallels/analogies from different scenarios with common traits is a must point of view that I want to prove, not just for games, but for every other interaction in life (game theory is great with that) . Many, many, many ideas from league can be applied in life about risks, rewards, balancing, etc... Getting familiared, gettind expertise in one area helps a lot on every other area because of that, you apply your knowledge in different scenarios and you learn much faster relying on the work you have done previously to learn other tasks... that is just great, thanks for all the insights over the years.
I would pay 20$ for a 2h video of just this
As a YuGiOh player myself, I can guarantee that the only lp that matters is the last one. It doesn't matter if you win the game on 1 lp or the starting 8000, you still win. Works on League too
I would still recommend starting a knew game when your team has objectively low to no odds of winning.
Especially since this game isn’t about winning but learning.
I swear reading comments before the video only rarely results in such blunders.
Sorry about that 😳.

15:26 putting argentina's goal in the final made me remember the joy i felt when we got to be champions of the world. Amazing
You know what would be a great addition to the game? After each game in order to start a new game, it will make you answer one question. Lets say you died 9 times. It just asks, why did you die so much. you answer "because I made bad play calls that cost my team the game" congrats, you can queue up again. you answer " my team refused to group" you get a 10 min wait timer to queue up again. you vote yes to ff@15, you get a 10 min wait timer. Force people that are tilted to take breaks and cool off.
i really would love to answer your comment, but i have to force myself to take a break and cool off first.
Your concept about football (soccer) perfectly aplies to Brazil team in the last WC when they were winning but still went foward to the attack field and got disorganizated, that lead to an counter-attack and Croatia scored an goal.
No way you did a reference to Polyphia :O I never thought I would hear that in a Skill Capped video haha !
as a musician theyre a huge influence for me! peach pit and them are probably my two biggest influences right now
@@JapaneseImport I love them so much too. Such great composition and talent. My fav album is definitely "New Levels New Devils"
Love the Yu-Gi-Oh comparison. Solemn Strike is one hell of a card.
I rarely play this game right now. I'm playing Caitlyn trying out different characters to try and figure out what suits me best. Should I try and stick to one or try different ones
Wow it hurts way more to be shit at every game I touch in a way I never knew there was
i love the pool example, i was a very avid pool player while in the army and often won alot of bets, honestly just love the game. and that what made me wanna improve. same for league, i came from dota2 and was 4000ish MMR on dota2 (maybe plat league idk) but coming to league i started in low gold, made diamond got stuck there for about 5 years. only recently have i broke out and gone to a challenger peak (for a couple days) and settling in mid to low GM. skill capped concepts really have helped me alot. Diamond to GM might not seem like much to the avg player, but you will understand when you reach diamond and see for your self!
As soon as he talked about Sun Tzu I liked this video lmao
I think my problem is that I don't play enough ranked like whenever I lose a match where someone that wasn't me turbo inted I get too frustrated to keep playing I know it happens but I still can't
Same. 2 weeks ago I lost 6 out of 9 games across 2 days. Yes, I was super tilted. But then I wanted to look up how much LP i lost and I actually gained 2 LP. I still have unwinnable games and those are still super frustrating, but I helps me to just track my LP and keeping in mind that MMR is what actually matters. Not the LP gained or lost. If my MMR is higher than my rank, I will always climb in the end. Slowly, but surely.
I used to play Overwatch. Wanted to main Tracer so I would just mimic the best Tracer players.... it felt so amazing, like senpais who had been paid to figure the game out so the rest of us could play with more fun!
15:00 - King Bumi tells Aang he needs an Earthbending teacher who waits and listens and is a master of neutral jing.
If you wanna learn to play Polyphia playing God faster you have to play many song that are similar to get used to that style and u also need to do scales on a regular basis to have the speed required. If you do these 2 things you will learn songs like that much faster
I dropped the video as soon as he mentioned the song he couldnt play. Amazing song, I guess that's why I dont get good at league
What an amazing video. A lot of wisdom for life and tons of application to other games. Thanks a lot.
I've always heard "Health is a resource" and I've never understood it until now
Man I like the comparison of LoL with one of my fav bands. Sadge I'll never get as good as Tim Henson.
The Polyphia reference made me smile. Love their music.
Love the yu gi oh references
Skill Capped mentionning sensei Danya !!
MUCHAAAAAAAAAACHOSSSSS, ahora nos volvimos a ilusionar!
Thank you for putting Argentinian goals in your explanations! I loved it!
I used to play pc back in 2012 and I did alright. I hadn't played for a few years and I started back up with Wild Rift, I have a desktop computer now, but the experience between the two is vastly different. clicking is hard with a mouse and the perspective and map size really throws me off. I just honestly think Wild Rift is the better experience
Been wanting to come back and i did but I lost all of my skill and kts been way to long. Been playing a bunch now but i felt like i got worse and worse. Been wantjng to main wukong jungle but switched to gop abit from a person couching me but in reailty all was said at the end was guve up and play yummi to understand the game more but im not sure if i wanna do that XD the pain when you lose skill at a game sucks so imma relearn as much as possible
This is so random but I appreciate the Polyphia clip in the start 😂
I know how to improve, but when in multiples games most of my mates int do sh*t play i can't improve anymore, theres no spitch like "you can do it alone play your lane" yep when botlane come on my midlane to steal golds or just stay at midlane, when your all team stay at mid all the game playing like an aram game no split push no objectives...
loved the comparison between the topics :)
oh wow and I was like "what is wrong with FIFA" when it got blocked yesterday. duh
I actually impulsively pogged when i saw Tim Henson in playing god. Never thought I'd see the legend in a league video lol
Came for a league video and I see a guitar and polyphia introduction, is that a crossover from my brain ?
15:45
chess: 1 billion arrows
League: line and circle
Fastest way to improve. Support team mates. Don't commit to bad plays. Back ping them. The goal is to make sure they don't tilt before you hit lvl 18 first and win the late game.
Thank you for comparing to RL and Yugioh. i am a good player in RL, but i couldnt get the home mechanics and position, and I'm struggling after playing LoL so long
Gbay99 was talking about sun tzu and league of legends over 10 years ago. Kinda crazy.
People have been talking about Sun Tzu since over 2400 years ago. Kinda crazy.
Respect for the polyphia clip
Anyone knows the name of the chair at 1:00 ?
Well i went to check out that band, Polyphia, and it's fucking good, thanks dude
This was an awesome explanation
I was playing Slay the Spire watching this, not with hemokinesis though :/
what was this video about? have no idea
Can somebody provide me with a list of suggested games to get good at lol? Like osu or other games that improves your game conscience and moba skills.
i love how they are saying "actively using" now XD. im gonna go on a limb and say that someone's been having a little trouble due to the old advertisement intros
Great vid
I love watching gmhikaru when he will spend 5 mins explaining the optimal play on how he would be checked in 4 turns and then they move a pawn and he checks them 🤣 or gets "bored and tired" and doesnt wanna think much harder and some a -1 slightly suboptimal play that still deletes his opponent lmao
what do you do professionally for music? i am also a musician and i am curious!
i play in a band called happy tuesday, and a few other local bands. I used to teach cello and piano as well, but mostly try to play out and focus my efforts on writing and recording now
It's a shame that I often pull a Wirtual at the most critical point of my games
My best advice is to delete system 32 it gives you easier lobies in lol
How to improve by me:
Play meta and OP champs. If you don’t you lose
The similarity between playing ball and league? Easy - you are alone and you play with inanimate objects - your team.
Lets goo wirtual
What happened to the bronze to diamond experiment. You tried to coach a player and the player never delivered. did the coaching actually workß
Do you think there wouldn't be a video on it if it worked?
Loved the yugioh reference xD
Ah yes sun tzu
6,99$ per month but you have to pay the whole year sounds like a scam to me
GM Naro one of the best chess content creator
Have personally spent more time in PT optimising clears then I care to admit...
But Pool and Billiards are two completely different games D:
references Polyphia in a League vid, insta like
the sheer amount of called out i feel, having played e v e r y game used as an example pretty deeply ☠
japanese import is a blessing
A camille guide pls!!!
Ahhh the beloved Yu-gi-oh very good.
League of legends has a high skill ceiling.
time to grind
Ya Danya is the best fr
what if my problem is not that i am bad
but its that my team loves to troll me and i hate to carry them so i dont mind to give the game 🤣🤣
Bruh i learned so much i got a 54% wr on my otp but since its adc i cant do anything cause my top goe 0/8 in 5 min then the jung ints and feeds mid.
Just gotta take the L and improve on your game bro. Just know you can’t effect top lane as an adc. All you can do is your best and try to get more fed. I
@@RedPartyhat this is actually well timed lol. I just went 29/5 last game as jinx. Still lost cause my team wouldnt group and when into to 5 of them one at a time. Only time they did group they didnt actually do anything till they were by themsels (sums, R )
2 of them ran to baron while the team was dead and died to the enemy team who had elder buff...which was funny casue it was the third elder rotation my team had elder and baron a few minutes prio and refused to go in.
watching the video im going to edit this when i finish it (it was really good as always)
The Fastest way to improve at league of legends is to play all other games but league of legends.
Maaaaan I just LOVE when the video is FULL of references from other games like this*-*)/
I've been playing league for 13 years... still suck
The fastest way is to marry a pro player 😬
I came for a quick guide, not connect the dots
My team is holding me back!!
surely you must be atleast grandmaster then?
The best way to improve at League of Legends is by accepting the fact that it is a team game and Solo Queue is not the intended correct way to play it. Find 4 (or more) friends who play LOL and form a ranked team. Win or lose does not matter. You improve together.
I’m better at every game he listed than I am at league lol
"do you know absolutely nothing about the game and wish to spend 20min on watching a guide just to not learn nothing at all" -skillcapped
Sounds like a "you" problem.
I use this by comparing Warframe to this game.🥃
Skill Capped is a fan of Polyphia?>?>
Good talk but what is the fastes way to IMPROVE ?
Never been this early before wow
My issue with League of Legends is that when I build for a role I don't feel like I'm doing what I'm suppose to in that role.
When I build Tank I don't feel like I can take hits
When I build Damage I don't feel like I'm dealing any damage
When I build support boosting items it feels like I'm a minion doing nothing
that usually comes from not being able to utilize your strenghts to the fullest, when you tank damage at the right moment, support at the right moment and deal damage at the right moment, it hits different
if you get really good at a champ you see and understand every little bit of their power
u must be new then. learn the basics. keep in mind that ur goal is about getting gold, so u can buy items, so u can get stronger stats and be better at what ur supposed to do. how to get gold fast, that is the question.
skill issue
who are all these randoms in the video
