since you are close to your base building, you can be in your building and use the drone to build and not have to worry about oxygen. the drone works for quite a distance and it makes building less frustrating to not have to worry about oxygen. You can also get into containers early game before the warehouses. when having to use the workbenches, it helps to be able to use the drone to get supplies you need to fabricate things and not have to leave the building. Quality of life difference in spades.
btw have you tried the balanced splitter and mergers? I make two smelters, using them and get a better through put maybe more obivous on the faster belts but really enjoyed them this map

The steamroller does not destroy the mining nodes, like gold and iron, just the rocks like stone, prosperous and graphene.

Thanks for the tip! For the bigger builds it is difficult because the range of the drone isn't so good.

Nice progress! If you use the steamroller to "connect" the islands, then the other vehicle might be more useful. Not sure if it's worth it.

I've used both. Didn't notice a difference. I just thought that one was 3-way and the the other was 2-way. It is an interesting map.
Today's tip: u can make a power grid by placing wind turbain every 500 meter or not soo far from each other 😊
