    overall quite cool. the one on the right has the drawers too close to each other, they don't open and close that well. also, if you predrill your holes with a thinner bit, you prevent the wood from splitting so much as in this video.

      you need only frames and two vent holes, down for the queen, up the supper. Now imagine to build the same system made in epal -pallet with cheap drawer mechanics in. And you can farart( half dadant) system of beekeeping. For Example 6-7 pallets = 4 beehives in drawers :D and why not?

The look you got with the reclaimed wood (espesialy the fronts) and angle iron drawer pulls was really cool. Are you puting casters on them?

    • @RyTrapp0

      Robert M Everything goes together though! I don't know what the hell this problem is that I have, I grew up building things, using power tools(properly!) from a very young age, working with any variety of materials, even worked a little with my grandpa before old age kept him out of his wood working shop for good(he's 93 now, vision and motor skills have just deteriorated too much at this point) - but I'll be damned if I can't get consistent measurements & cuts when I'm working with wood! Metal? No problem, use measuring devices like they're meant to be used, read them like they're supposed to be read, and pre-plan low margin for error steps, all is well. But, just change the material to wood and I'll be damned if those nasty dead tree carcasses aren't still growing(or shrinking...???) after I've measured & cut the damn things...

    • @John_Malecki
      @John_Malecki  6 років тому

      How do you make your carcass's if you dont use pocket holes?

    • @philnixon3157
      @philnixon3157 6 років тому

      John Malecki I'll be quite honest, I don't do a lot of carcassing work but when I have done, I'd use maybe a half lap joint or even just a butt joint with fasteners in the end of the piece, pre drilled and just send them in straight as arrows. It can't possibly be less strong, simply because there is still a full piece of material to fasten too. Unlike where the pocket hole gives you a deep countersunk hole, it's removed a lot of the material to actually hold the two pieces together. I feel that's what contributed to that first one in the video splitting out.
