Hi Willie, I really enjoyed seeing you use the Ted Williams combo. It looked to be just fine. Beautiful combo.
The shiny red Abu was great too. It seemed to work amazingly well.
For rebuilds, they seemed to flow like new. You did great on rebuilding those.
Thanks to Andy and Dan for all the kind sending to you.
Tell All Hi and meow for me. Take care and stay safe till next time.

Yes, the Ted Williams combo worked really well. And the wasn’t too bad either. Both of the Johnson centuries did well but one of them needs a gear change pretty bad. That will happen in time. York River State Park is a nice place to visit, but the fish are too small, lol. I’ll keep looking for new places to go. I’ve got so many reels and so little time. Lol thanks for watching, everybody says hi Skye meow🐈⬛
Great video! Really cool seeing the reels you repaired being used in the field.
It’s even more fun not seeing parts flying on the first cast, it’s a very special time.. lol 😂
Ah ha most excellent video my friend I really like the way you do things.
I have a few Ol Reels stored away 1. My Mothers Mitchell 300 1970s era.
By the way she was a master at using it.
My Dads Mitchell 441 super need but he never really got the hang of using it.
He usually used a Zebco 33 Black early version " Idon't have it"
But I do have his rod, the Shakespere wonder rod. I had Ceramic eyes put on it years ago.
Stay safe and take care of those neat little bikes.
Hey there!!
Thanks so much!!
You know, my mother was the fisherman in my family..
She got me started.. with her old Zebco and Abumatic 120..
My Dad was a terrible fisherman but a great hunter.. 😂
I wish I had a dollar for all the Mitchell 300s I’ve had.. 😁
I very much appreciate you watching and commenting!!
Thanks again,
Willie
goodmorning my friend willy i loved the combos you fished with they both did there jobs love to you and yours always paul frome p.a
Howdy Paul,
That was a good bunch of reels.. I had a great time with them, looking forward to using them again
I love the old century reels
Hey there!
I feel the same. I’ve discovered through the years that I don’t believe any of them were identical.. they may all have looked the same (depending on what era you were purchasing them in) but each one had its own personality.
You can replace gears, crank arms, buttons, whatever but it’s still gonna be different than another identical to it..
I find that to be one of the cool things about them.
Thanks for watching!
Willie
I liked the way the 100-B's were working at the NY River Park and I'll bet those little crappie were still fun to catch! Then you upped the game with the Ted Williams and the Abu-60. I guess the hand winding the line on that Abumatic worked like Dan said. You caught some nice bass with both. Enjoyed the video, as usual....they are always a good time! Keep'em coming, please!
Howdy Harry!
I was happy with the way the 100Bs were working but one of them has a terrible growl.. needs new gears. Might have to get in touch with Gary about that..
The Ted Williams did great but it’s an acquired taste for sure, it’s fancy!! 😂
The Abumatic seems to be ok but it just doesn’t want to give me a good casting distance.. still needs some work. I’ll figure it out eventually. lol
Thanks for watching my friend and tell Miss Sophia hello!!
Willie
Nice video, Willie, I enjoyed the trek to York River State Park, it's really nice up there! Too bad there weren't any bass roaming the waters there, but at least you caught some at your regular spot! The reels and the combo seemed to perform well! Take care and be safe!
Hey CJ!
The park seems to be a nice spot to visit, hike, bike, and maybe take the kiddos fishing..
The reels (Johnson) worked -ok-… one of them could use some new gears.. pretty growly..
Maybe in the future.
The Ted Williams did great.. a little too flamboyant for me but it does work well..
Abumatic 60, still has issues but I’m also still working on it.
Thanks for watching CJ!!
Willie
Glad those 100B frames worked out for your reel repair, Willie! Would like to see them in action again sometime!
They worked pretty well, only one snag during the cast.
One of them needs a definite gear upgrade. I knew it growled but the camera “really” picked up on it..
in the future I’ll be getting some new gearing..
Thanks again for the bodies!!
Nice of the park to build those piers. Otherwise, there would be a lot of trees and brush to contend with
Howdy Gary!
The little decks weren’t too bad but the size of the fish were.. that place must be very overpopulated with crappie and very little feeding on them.
The 100Bs casted well but one of them has a terrible growl I noticed while I was using it but on camera it really is verbal, 😂.
The Abu 60 sounds pretty quiet
The 60 is extremely quiet, just doesn’t cast very far and has a vibration on hard casts.. I think it’s the spool but still messing with it.. work in progress.
