4:43 I am convinced the main issue is the bumbgate fiasco, additionally the second issue are the capacitors, and alongside just as common are dvd drive issue and finally the hdd drive can fail too a common issue on the xbox one x, but also for many 360 but that's just time really 🤷🏽♂️, the xbox 360 is nearly 20 y/o, from the oldest models (phat 2005), so now we need to worry about half the console, I am personally buying phats and I am planning on restoration on the consoles.
Had a similar setup, the case however broke, console runs fine but had to remove fan. Put it in a new case. So! Ended up taking the top metal plate off entirely, and using Aluminum foil tape over the top of both heatsinks which makes the air travel through the entire heatsink cooling it more efficiently. I wonder how combining these would work
Get rid of the fans. Your cooling the cpu when it's the gpu that fails, and both these boards are reliable, and the jasper is more reliable than a slim. This mod does nothing and just makes the console louder. The cause of the red ring was gpu failure and cannot be fixed nor perverted without a gpu replacement
If you ever have the chance to see what the inside of the xbox 360 looks like you will see that you don't really have the chance to push a direct stream of air on gpu because of the DVD drive and you are pushing the air on cpu mostly. But if you look carefully on the video you will see that both consoles are equipped with the long arm gpu heatsink which has the advantage to reach the stream of air directly and releases portion at least of heat of the gpu. In addition the fact that you are cooling the cpu doesn't mean that you have no effect of cooling the gpu which is seating right beside the cpu. Nobody knows if the gpu will not have any positive effect because of the mod but you can't from the other side prove that the mod itself does nothing as well. What my conclusion is that this mod is releasing the heat out of the console and that can be at least positive thing in a long run terms for health of electronics. I agree that Jasper is a reliable console. For a Falcon (which is the first console on the video) I doubt about it since i have a personal experience of a failed Falcon. About the sound, I barely hear the difference between before and after so nothing to lose there. Since nobody knows what is really happening with gpu and the overall problem of RROD I think it's a matter of personal decision how to deal with that. Let's leave the imagination and logic free to everybody to make his own conclusion how he can deal with this. Maybe you have right after all but let the thing going the other way as well since personally I could see no harm to mod the console this way and there is a small window (if not bigger) for some benefits to come out. Thanks for your comment by the way! 🙂 Feel free to discuss the issue and exchange opinions which will help everybody to come to a better conclusion for himself.
@ChristakisTech Microsoft said in their documentary it was the underfill. The falcon you have most likely has a revised chip and is reliable and the jasper is immune to rrod. And the jasper runs pretty cool anyway so there really just isn't a point. From the research I've done the only way to prevent the rrod on a prone console is gpu replacement. However neither of these consoles are really prone and late falcons are pretty reliable. I have several falcons still going strong with fixed gpus
Here's some info on the falcon gpu revisions. X810480 The initial version of Rhea. This chip contains a design defect in which low Tg underfill is used to support the bumps. This causes reliability issues and premature failure of the chip. Production of this chip paused sometime between weeks 12 through 20 of 2008, and the X816970 and X816971 chips were produced instead to test fixed chips with different underfill materials. In Late-2009, X810480 chips with higher Tg underfill began being produced. These revised chips are known to be reliable. Part Number: X810480 X816970 A revised version of Rhea with higher Tg underfill material that appears dark. Some versions are marked with "Htg85". These chips are known to be reliable. Part Number: X816970 X816971 A second revised version of Rhea with higher Tg underfill material that appears milky white. Some versions are marked with "Htg130". These chips are known to be reliable. Part Number: X816971
Thanks for your wonderful extended comment you made. Will add to everybody's knowledge about the whole history of this. That's an interesting piece of information I wasn't aware of and thank you for sharing! I'll definitely gonna take a look into that. :)

Same here. I got a old phat one and imma restore it and mod it too save its glory for future generations ❤
This elite white xbox 360 is the most beaultifull console ever made to me. And I am a Play station player.

modern fans it can fit?
