Both are awesome cars just set up for 2 different things. The 170 is a purpose built drag car the vette isn’t, put the 170 on a road course with the vette and the shoe would be on the other foot.

Yo, the way dodge built the 170, they took out alot of the problems that the old demon had like with traction, and now that mf hooks to do an average of like 9.4. It and the tesla plaid, which dodge was competing with, it beats it by a hair, even on the launch. Thats when u know the new demon can hook.
Dodge is 4300 curb weight without the driver. Corvette C8 weighs 3550 pounds without the driver. add 800 pounds plus driver weight to the Corvette would make it more interesting.
Take them both stock on a real day, pull up to a stoplight race, and the eray wins 10 out of 10 times. My c7 has a hard time hooking up with 730hp. The demon was not stock, had a prepped track, and slicks. I'd hope he wins. Just sucks how the power cannot be used on a daily basis.
Them C8s are incredible machines especially competes with cars 2-3x the cost but idk why anyone would want the hybrid. I've loved vettes since the C3 in my childhood but I hate how they're more like an exotic than a vette now. Lost that edge of muscle to a sports car... C8 lost the muscle.
