  • In this video, I perform some accuracy testing with the Sons of Liberty Gun Works (SOLGW) Rifle Build with their 16" combat grade barrel chambered in 5.56 with a 1:7 twist rate. While the rifle performed well with a variety of different loads, the Federal Premium 77 grain Sierra Match King BTHP Match was the winner.

I have really been thinking about picking up one of there uppers... the new m76 is really tempting... I was dead set on bcm but the more I learn about solgw I'm heading more that route..

    What’s the barrel length?

Definitely can go tighter. Just zeroed mine in with LPVO and held .6moa on a 3 shot group with 55gr standard FMJ

Agreed, should just mount a high power scope when testing accuracy.

That's one group, and it's three rounds of ammo that will never be sub moa consistently.
No shooter on any rifle EVER is shooting sub moa with 55gr ball ammo on a consistent basis.
You should be testing groups with 5-9 round groups. One cold bore shot followed by the grouping shots.
