TKA’s Smith Family Conservatory of the Arts, a two-time American High School Theatre Festival award-winning fine arts program recently produced "Jekyll & Hyde" featuring Gregorio Umana in the leading role. The Smith Conservatory is led by Mr. David Snyder (Artistic Director, Musical Theater, Department Chair), Mr. Nathaniel Adams (Director of Vocal Arts), Mrs. Cathy Higgins (Director of Dance- Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz), Mr. Douglas Gawriljuk (Dance- Ballet and Modern), Mrs. Heidi Martin (Theatre Arts), Mr. Brad Majzner (Stagecraft & Technical Director), Mr. Wes Lowe (Director of Instrumental Arts), Mrs. Stephenie Grasso (Instrumental Arts) Mr. Patrick Clifford (Instrumental Arts Strings), Mr. Austin Parenti (Media Arts Director), Mrs. Mary McCarty (Media Arts), Mrs. Laura McFaden (Visual Art), Mrs. Virginia Nucci (Visual Arts), and Mrs. Robin Phillips (Instrumental Arts Piano).

YAAASSSS WE STAN A DELICATE YET POWERFUL QUEEEENNN~ Her breath and voice control are out of this world!
When I first heard her in the Titanic musical, I've never once thought that she would eventually play Lucy, But HOT DAMN, she nailed it!!!
Love both versions of this musical! In both versions, I can see aspects of Hyde before he "was born"

@@kat7215 Such as indulging in alcohol, flirting with other women while engaged, not caring about how people will judge you for that in an era where reputation was the most important thing (hence the song Façade from earlier). In the book it’s Jekyll’s ‘immoralities’ that Hyde draws upon.
The song is about how evil and good are perceived according to the person perceiving them. One person may think that it is good to be evil and vice versa.
When your high musical got cancelled because of coronavirus, but TKA's show still goes on 😑

It's also about how. Evil is inherently a part of the nature of all humanity. It has nothing to do with the bible. We are all capable of being both Jekyll and Hyde.
Bravo Olivia! Well done! U amaze me by how much u grow with each role at TKA! I‘m sure ur family is very proud of you & u should be very proud of yourself, as I can imagine the countless hours u put in to put forth to produce such a performance....can’t wait to see more! 😉
Do TKA performers take classes in elocution? All the performers have superior elocution.

How did you get approval to switch from bring on the men to good and evil?
I think she did really great but I didn't love her speech pattern in dragging out her "L"s. I know that this song is difficult and I think she did an amazing job with breath control and mixing that high note but I'm just saying lol
