I have the feeling we haven’t seen the last of Travis “Black Hat” Tate. I’ve also now seen a “Ramses Project” mentioned twice- once by Trav himself, and once in a Burning Shores datapoint.
Some really good ideas there. I think the Quen Empire will play a large part of 3's story. Just from the Burning Shores story it feels like an empire on the brink of revolution. Be an interesting twist from fighting rebels to being a rebel.
I'm interested to see if Sylens will tag along will be in his shoes of being in the shadows manipulating and organizing a "deceptive force" that will bring change at a cost or Aloy will pull a last minute "coo detah".
Don't forget about Elysium! If we get to see it in the third game, I'm hoping for a "7 Seeds" type of situation. Keep in mind that Elysium was built not just to house the workers of Zero Dawn but also their immediate families, including their children. One of them was a freaking newborn baby for crying out loud! Spending your entire existence in an underground survival bunker just waiting to die doesn't sound like any kind of life to me, so it would be awesome if some of the scientists used their time to perfect cryonic preservation and give their children a new world to wake up to. Also keep in mind that they probably had no clue what Ted Faro was up to with his Omega Clearance at the time and were expecting a far different future than the one they got.
@@darren5777 it was a bunker meant for all lower ranking members of zero dawn to live the rest of their lives as a reward for contributing. The person and their close family would be able to live the rest of their natural life in the bunker
Love this topic RSQ! I also really like CYAN and hope it can play a role in H3. It would be super cool if we had to venture back to The Cut to talk CYAN into helping us since it’s afraid to receive GAIA's messages. Perhaps CYAN will merge with GAIA in an attempt to match Nemesis’s power…
@@RandomSideQuestHello RSQ, another great video, I have a number of different theories and speculation about the future of Horizon, that if your interested I would be willing to share that range from a logical explanation as to how HADES could have defeated FZ to how NEMESIS could be portrayed in Horizon 3 and more, several of them i have posted on the forums for the Horizon Fandom website, but I would be willing to discuss them if you find them interesting.
Sad well probably never get to see the Claim or the actual true Banuk area. Yeah I know Zero Dawn had the DLC for the Banuk but that wasn’t the true area of where the Banuk are or reside.
I’ve had this theory for awhile that they would have to head East at some point and not “east” like Japan or China like actually East to find Vast Silver and most likely to Virginia. The main reasons for this is Mount Weather and there are massive data transmission lines buried throughout Loudoun Country especially near Dulles. There are huge data centers everywhere in that area so between that and Mount Weather they would make good places for Vast Silver to hide durning the Faro Plague.
I want a massive Scorpion machine so bad. We need more Insect/Arachnid machines anyway, and Stingspawn are the beginning of them. Scorpions, Mantises, Harvestmen, and Ants are all great ideas and would make for amazing machines.
If watchers are still in the gane they should develope the ability to record and playback humans voices. When I first player Zero Dawn, I seriously thought Olara was the voice of a watcher that was parroting a human. I was torn between running the other way and going to its aide. I wanted to see if it was setting up an ambush in cooperation with a more deadly machine. That would have been a fitting introduction to watchers and scrappers. Although I haven't played Forbidden West and beyond, It seems like a plausible symbiotic relationship.
First off, play Forbidden West, it's amazing. Second, I'd prefer Stalkers to do it. Have someone screaming "HELP!!!" and you follow it to a dense jungle where they're in the trees waiting for you. It could be like that scene in Predators.
Isnt the Oddysey also still in orbit of Earth? I was imagining Sylens and Aloy was going up there as a side quest in the Zenith shuttle to explore all their technology and potential A.I. to combat Nemesis
That would be amazing. And it wouldn't be sidequest, it'd be one of the best main quests in the game. Maybe we can use a telescope and see Nemesis far off in the stars?
well tilda said they had an apollo copy on their ship, at the end of FW u can see gaia with all subfunctions but Hades and Hephaestus, pretty sure aloy already visited the orbit ship, but maybe there are more hidden things up there
I honestly don't believe Aloy will be able to recapture Hephaestus, at least without Sylens help. I think a more likely scenario is Hephaestus will realize that he can't defeat Nemesis alone and his best bet will be to work with Aloy. I also imagine that he doesn't want to be a subordinate function under Gaia and would rather maintain his own independence. I think Hephaestus can be convinced to stop hunting human. But Aloy would likewise have to convince humans to stop hunting machines that he creates.
I came up with a bit of a theory for the third game a while back. Not sure how realistic it is, but it's a thought. What if we're able to use the Zenith shuttle to travel between the eastern US and Quen territory in East Asia, with the Odyssey itself acting as our base instead of the mountain repair facility from Forbidden West?
@@ThePreciseClimber I'm really, really hoping for that. I love when a game gives a base. I don't even care if I can customize it or not, I just love bases.
Whatever happens i just hope to see more Beta and Beta and Aloy working together ❤ Edit to add: if anyone noticed, there's a map of the Delta region on Aloy's bed back at the base by the end of HFW
I believe the only way to defeat Nemesis and Hephaestus will be for Cyan, Gaia and our [redacted] eastern AI to join together. Their personalities will disappear but they will form a new AI that will shepherd humanity through the future
An AI that has been lying dormant here on earth this whole time? So we’re thinking Vast Silver right? I’m not a betting man but I’d almost put money on that.
Londra mentioning Metallurgic has me convinced we will be returning to the Nora lands in the next instalment. I am replaying HZD right now and the very first vantage point Aloy can find in Devil's Thirst depicts an office building, and Bashar Mati notes that it's incredible that Metallurgic once had its HQ there. It's the one spot we know that Metallurgic has been, even if implied they left at some point. But with Zo headed to the Sacred Lands also, it'd make sense for Aloy to meet up with her there and perhaps delving deeper into this bit. I know many believe and/or hope that we will go across the Pacific to The Great Quen Delta but there's still the entire Midwest and East Coast for Aloy to explore, and it seems, with our limited info, that the corporations Londra mentioned are HQ'd in the US. And on a more interpersonal level, I for one am stoked to see Zo's unshakeable grace meet Sona; the warchief who went AWOL to avenge her daughter, who raised child warriors, and a zealous Nora faithful. How Sona will take the news of Varl's death is going to be one helluva blow. How the news of her grandchild might shake her, especially as they will be mothered by a non-Nora. And I am dying to see how the Nora are faring with their rebuilding efforts and how they might have changed their xenophobic ways in wake of their near wipeout.
Theory: The consciousness of Peter Tshivhumbe, founder of Far Zenith and pioneer of digital consciousness, was somehow included onto the Odyssey's database, perhaps in secret. When the experiments of the Zeniths failed to render digital consciousness and were locked away, it was Peter's digitised mind, it being driven mad by the years of loneliness (perhaps an oversight on his part) that fuelled those failed experiments into becoming Nemesis, driving this new entity into attacking the Zenith's and plotting Earths destruction.
You may be right! In one datapoint you find during the main quest of Burning Shores, Londra is marveling at the shuttle he's created and mentions Tshivhumbe by name, but then he ends the datapoint with this juicy little tidbit: "I just hope it's enough to outrun his shadow." This is clearly referencing Nemesis, and that one line could mean that Tshivhumbe is either part of or the driving force behind it!
One of my biggest questions for Horizon 3 is whether we will lose all of our weapons and armour again, or will the access to Apollo mean that we will be slowly acquiring technological improvements on top of the stuff we have from HFW. I mean, having the Apollo sub-function is going to be a game changer (ba dum tish).
That would be pretty neat. Using Apollo & FZ weapons against both FZ-infused Hephaestus and later also against Nemesis machines. Would be neat if the world state changed in the middle of the game and the map got populated by a bunch of Nemesis scouts that would arrive before the main, big machine. Sort of like post-game in Dragon's Dogma. And after beating the game, you could freely go between the two world states at will (like one of the characters is watching Aloy's Focus recordings).
Three predictions I am certain will happen in Horizon III: 1. Aloy will travel across the sea to the Quen Capital which will be the main location for the game. There will also be a Rebel uprising where Aloy will have to join or even lead to bring down the Quen Emperor. 2. Nemesis will take on multiple forms (kind of like Ultron) where it will have an android body but as the game progresses, becomes a more hulking and monstrous machine. 3. Aloy and Seyka will reunite. Aloy will struggle with trying to balance saving the planet and her feelings for Seyka. But she will get some advice and encouragement from Talanah.
Great video RSQ maybe they could use some software from certainT to recapture hephestasis or rewrite the omega clearance so hephestasis can't rewrite it out of its system
I do agree with lots of your points. My best guesses are Vast silver will make an appearance with a second ai (possibly dlc), and aloy will have to combine them into her own ai with its own functions Same as the machines becoming more and more advanced, with more dangerous variants, wildlife will also evolve into becoming more aggressive/dangerous while out exploring. Im not saying that we are gonna get attacked on site, but its no longer going to be one shot and barely interactive (maybe if cornered they will attack type of idea) It was mentioned but as aloy has access to a space shuttle, perhaps finding a way to travel between continents and joining different tribes, perhaps even needing a bunch of people to override a certain "core" simultaneously to thwart a big danger Nemesis is coming, but i feel like its mostly a tease for a much bigger danger, one thats already on the planet, so aloy will have to put a stop to it. And finally that such as a stormbird causing a huge storm, maybe more machines will cause more adverse effects on the planet, such as one possible causing tornadoes or whirlpools on the water, sink holes or avalanches/mud slides on the ground for an idea As always i totally love your videos thats broken down into simple explanations and are made easy to understand, and i cant wait for the next one
Great video as always RSQ! It’s going to be some time I guess until we hear about the third instalment officially 😢 but in the meantime your insight and the wonderful graphics shown remind me to dive back in for another HZD ==> HFW play through
As interested in plot theories as you are,I’ve come to see past the combat and enjoy the interactions and growth of Aloy and her companions. I wonder what Guerrilla has thought up to tug hard on our emotional strings? Thanks for your delvings😁
I agree with a lot of things in this video. What if in Horizon 3 Aloy acquires HEPHAESTUS very early in the game and in gameplay he is used to improve older weapons (an excuse to bring in new weapon techniques) and armor AND can make new weapons such as shotguns, a harpoon gun that can be used underwater, and a net launcher which better pins down most machinery then the Ropecaster though the latter is still needed for pinning down bigger machines. Maybe there could be a gameplay mechanic where you can upgrade and equip machines you ride on with weapons. This would allow NEMESIS to take over the Cauldrons and make machines never seen before. With all the dinosaur machines in Forbidden West, I strangely want to see machines based on those from myths like imagine fighting a robot Minotaur or a dragon shaped machine. Heck what if Nemesis makes human shaped robots filled with the memories of past Zeniths! I do like the idea of there being more AIs out there, and the idea of Aloy going to the East to get them. After not seeing the mutated Ted Faro in the story of Forbidden West and seeing FAS on the list of military companies, I strangely could see there being a plot point where we find out Ted Faro made an AI based on himself that is still around and it both causes trouble for Aloy and the others but also helps them when dealing with NEMESIS.
I hope Aloy will get dash technology. Glide thrust, Zenith/Hephestus infused armor sets that give more perks and unlock armor unique abilities that are permanent to Aloy once mastered. for example FF9 ability mastery on equipment. Can be toggled on or off too. Or weapon proficiency on Zenith/Hephestus weapons technology ability mastery. Mount upgrades like Armored Core.
I hope new agile tech for Aloy in the next game. The Elite Mods was somewhat a great throw back to the mods in Zero Dawn. I want more of that. I would love for Aloy to have separate execution/ takedowns abilities she could charge up. Similar to Arkham Knight or Shadow of War. The dev can definitely insert Zenith tech with futuristic fantasy monsters. Think Minotaur, Banshees, Medusa, Cerberus, Valkyrie. Status buff and debuff can be more useful. I want more machines to go BOOM!
Another point in your mentioning of machines being possibly different due to Hephaestus’s brush with Zenith tech is that the Cauldrons might not be the same in the next game either. The sun function might alter them in ways to increase the amount of machines that are made in a certain time span, or give the Cauldrons more dangerous aspects that make it harder to traverse through them.
All I know is that the trilogy will end when aloy sacrifices herself against nemesis and saves the world. Just like how sobeck sacrificed herself for zero dawn There will be no other ending
I'm a foamer/railfan and i would be so tickled if Aloy found and restored an old locomotive and tracks and used this engine to get around and what if the engine was a PRR J1a 2-10-4 that was built in the 2040s just like how the T1 Trust is building a T1 from the ground up. Aloy would find the locomotive preserved in an ancient shed and restore it to operating condition with help from Varl and Erend
Whatever the solution to deal with NEMESIS is...I have full faith that Guerrilla will surprise us with a Wonderfull game as they did with HZD, HFW and HCotM PS: I am so eager to see what NEMESIS look like! :D
I hope in the future we get a game that takes place in a different part of the world. Would be great to learn about the Quen homeland and the “barbarians” that live there, or the tribes descended from the cradle at Mt Namuli. Would personally love to see how my home turf is like in the future🦘🇦🇺
i think they are probably going to have to go to the east US as they have covered the west and middle so it only makes sense. I’d love to see washington dc with a HORUS in the middle or something
machine idea a dragon like flying machine bigger than stormbirds extremely rare and hard to kill as it would have been created after the attack on the zenith base used to guard the most important of cauldrons, the one HEPHETUS resides within primarily.
I think i have narrowed down 2 actors to play Sylens in Horizon 3 one is who is the to star as Venom in Spiderman 2 Tony Todd hes got deep voice and the other is Cristopher judge Kratos from both God of War games also has a deep voice but has heart.
Vast Silver would be an interesting return. It felt like there is unfinished business with that AI. If they bring it back it could team up with Cyan and Gaia whereas Nemesis will probably team up with Hephaestus. Cyan could also be a priority target for Nemesis as it could try to use the Yellowstone Caldera as a localised contingency zero day mechanism seeing that Hades is no longer an option.
I like the idea of using other industries tech to combat Nemesis. And I would love if for each -triforce fragments- tech component we will get mini dungeon in different part of the world. A little snippet of the rest of the world.
Keep in mind that Gaia has a second core, which might be useful in increasing the heuristic matrix enough to assimilate Hephaestus. Cyan did indicate that she has her facility on autopilot, so is available. There are so many R&D ruins that could be discovered based on the implications from the HZD. With the introduction of the Quen, I would not be surprised is Aloy and friends travel to Asia.
-Alana brings up that the old ones could travel to space and they mid had a moon base, maybe there could be even a base at Mars. -Elysium is still not in the picture, even when Gaia stated that it was offline way before the expiring date of 100 years. But every person in the Bunker was sterile and id had no Lab or other tech like the ZD-Bunkers. It was only a big house for familys to stay safe till they die. -Till now thw serie just had america in view, but there mid be other places on earth with surviving structures even when the Swarm swallowed the continent long before America. What if russia build a gigantic EMP Weapon to stop the swarm, but is was to late to use it? The perfect weapon to grill Nemesis, it only needs a primer?
I can't wait to see what new machines they think up. I also wonder how far east we will get to see. Maybe the plains of Kansas all the way down to the Gulf Coast?
I have a few thoughts of ancient tech: Vehicular combat like tanks, turrets, APCs and possibly aircraft. It would feel a bit like Just Cause and I think that would be awesome in a Horizon game.
I'm excited to see if the base expands into a town hall of representatives from different tribes into a united response force like Overwacth except tribal. The best individuals humanity has to offer in a coalition to combat an unstoppable force.
I think what might happen is that Aloy and her friends travel all over the world looking for Londra's laundry list of tech, visiting mentioned but unused locations like Elysium, Ban-Ur the Claim and the Quen's Great Delta. Getting between these distant locations would be really difficult for Horizon's open-style worlds but I can think of 2 work arounds. Possibly they use the shuttle to get to the Odyssey (another location I'd like to see) and use it as a hub to transfer to open areas set all over the world. Or they could have each of the different characters in Aloy's gang stationed in a different area. You play as Erend in the claim doing quests and you can switch to Aloy in the Great Delta at any time, ect. As the hunting of hostile machines is a huge part of the games I don't see how they can do this new game without leaving the capture of Hephaestus to the end. Personally though I think Hephaestus could actually be reasoned with, it's still a creature of cold logic and it cannot deny that refusing to help fight Nemesis would certainly end life on Earth. For that reason I don't see why they couldn't just reason with Nemesis, as all the Zeniths are dead there's no reason for it to destroy Earth. Given that Nemesis took 18 years to learn of Hades failure and the time it would take to get to Earth, I think there a possibility that this new game could be set several years after the last. During this timeskip, Aloy could have revealed the truth about Zero Dawn and prepared the tribes for Nemesis. I would hate this as seeing the tribe learn about Zero Dawn is something I'd love to see. I also don't want to see all the characters grown old and shadows of the warriors they used to be. I think a great twist would be for them to get into Elysium and find it's residences are still alive, having jury-rigged some stasis pods to survive after some system failure in their bunker. I also think there's a strong possibility of a civil war or revolution in the Quen empire. As Aloy helped some of them to get there hands on more focuses to better educate the populace. It could lead to an uprising, especially if they discovered the truth behind some of the "ancestors." I think the Carja will mistake Nemesis for their "buried shadow." I imagine when it comes it's swarm of bots will eclipse the sun just like the shadow is prophesised to. Speaking of which I think it's odd that Londra thought 900 year old tech would stand a chance against the most advanced technological entity in existence. And one last thing. What if Gaia used the towers to take control of the Faro Plague and have them fight Nemesis.
Since the setting already had us going across the USA, and the quen probably came from Asia; that would be an Awsome setting to go to for the next game! :)
I'd like to see a spin-off where we get to design and alter machines ourselves, or otherwise flex some creativity. I think it would be a mistake for the main series, taking too much attention away from the story, but it definitely has potential for some sandbox-y fun.
I don't think we're ever going to be able to capture HEPHAESTUS, I think it's too evolved by now, with its access to the global network and all that hardware plus the Zenith systems. I think a big part of H3 will be convincing to work together with humans and GAIA to save the planet (and itself). I think that we're going to have to get GAIA, HEPHAESTUS, and CYAN at the least to work together. This does a few things. It establishes AIs as their own "species", not simply tools. It also keeps HEPH on the loose, so things don't actually get safe again. GAIA can use the system, but would have to basically ask HEPH to make things for her. But HEPH also wants to keep protecting it's machines. It lays the groundwork to bring in Vast Silver and whatever controls Leviathan.
They've been increasing teh difficulty with every release to the point where all balance is lost and fights aren't fun anymore. Every single machine just jumps onto you now and fighting went from something I actively engaged in, to something I actively avoid.
I was already thinking, CYAN wasn't featured in the second game, so if she would be in the third, that woudl be nice, but may we all hope that she'll developed with a more sturdy mind and doesn't let herself be subdued by HEAP again :P
We don’t even know with Lance Reddicks death if they will recast Sylens or if there is a work around for his character in the next Horizon game. They could excuse his presence by saying he’s up in the Odyssey and he shared data with them but then he could still be up there when Nemesis arrives and dies with the shuttle since Nemesis wouldn’t know the Zeniths were ended by Aloy and company
Forbidden West was a massive step-up from the first game in every single way. The third game just needs to be Forbidden West with some new stuff thrown in and it'll be perfect.
I'm so excited for the next game. I'm heartbroken that it has to move forward without Lance Reddick. Still not over his death. I wonder what this means for Sylens. 😢
Have you ever considered the possibility that, the same way nemisis is a result of transfering human consciouness to a digital form, that vast silver could have developed a way to transfer itself into a human body? Like sylens?🤔
I know the main quests are all about AI stuff, but I hope that overall the 3rd game gives more to the tribal world side of things. The two can even intertwine, since GAIA said she was thinking of alternate ways to stabilize the climate w/o HEPH, that got me thinking: what about the unfinished ARTEMIS and DEMETER seeds & dna in storage? GAIA's machines are all about replacing ecological functions normally done by animals & plants, so why not bring back the OGs? iirc, ARTEMIS & DEMETER were designed to later be operated by the new human population to foster indigenous-like land stewardship culture within their work, to make them feel connected to the land and understand how the ecosystem is put together and how each plant and animal is essential to maintaining it. So it'd be cool if part of reaching out to the world's tribes involved reconnecting MINERVA's telecoms network and finding ARTEMIS & DEMETER facilities that were meant to bring back the rest of the plant & animal species that got left in storage. All of the tribes can get involved and learn how to raise up the ecosystem in the wake of the Deranged machines leaving it to rot. This also has me realizing that we're probably gonna have a bigger time skip into H3, aren't we? Even if the starts relatively soon after HFW, Nemesis will have to be eliminated eventually and it only followed the FZs ~7 years after they left. Assuming Nemesis can even travel as fast as FZ did, we'll still have some time to wait to encounter it. Then again, as Nemesis gets closer, it could try to threaten and hack into earth tech remotely and pose a threat before it physically arrives, but still that'd be at least some years away. I just hope that whatever the timeframe for H3 is that the tribes are actually featured a lot and not lost amid AI abstract digital battles. The worldbuilding of the tribal world is so underrated amidst the techy main quest stuff imo.
They worked it in really well. It had to be released for the plan to work. Plus it'll update the code so that we can't override them until we override the new cauldron cores. I wouldn't have it any other way.
If "an ancient ghost is rising in the east", whose East are we talking about? Because for the Quen, the East is the US, and for all the other known tribes, the East is the Nora territory (or Banuk). For us as outsiders the East is traditionally asigned to Asia, but not for Horizon tribes whose only known East is this one. Chances are, Horizon 3 may take place back to the first game's map, with the Cut and the Claim added perhaps?
Horizon really has become my favorite video game franchise of all time. I just REALLY hope that the 3rd game doesn’t make us go and try to capture hephaestus again because I ain’t dealing with that for the 3rd game in a row. lol Just get Gaia to capture it at the start of the game and that’s it.
With hephaestus having been exposed to advanced technology from the zenith base whose to say when it is captured it doesn't try to use it against Gaia to "dethrone" Gaia to become the dominate program.
Kind of surprised you didn’t mention the numerous references to technology to upload consciousness. It felt like there were too many references to just be foreshadowing Nemesis. (And for that matter Nemesis may not be failed uploads either. We only have Tilda’s word on that really. She could easily have been lying). My guess is that Beta may have to in essence become part of Gaia. I don’t think GG would kill off Aloy, but Beta could volunteer to become one with the machine. It would give an emotional ending without having to kill off fan favorite characters. Beta will never truly fit into the culture of the world the way it is in Horizon, and she knows it.
Nah, Haphestis had all the corrupted data and what was left of the signal removed when it got merged with Gaia, so this is a clean family friendly version that is building thunderjaw and etc because Beta told it to.
I have a crazy theory. Aloy was birthed in Horizon 1. Beta arrived in Horizon 2. We'll meet another in Horizon 3. And the trio will defeat Nemesis together. 😂 Sobeck's triplets lol
The last piece that we got from Brimm indicating some "ghost" in the East makes me feel hopeful for maybe seeing the Sacred Land again, and... Ddespite your hints, I'm inclined to believe that we might get some more from Vast Silver albeit this is a hard "maybe". I just think that at this point VS is a such poorly used esset in the overall Horizon lore.
well, I understand, that you guys are full of "what's going to be The Horizon 3 thing", but I am way more humble: HFW was announced for PC for early next year, so expect me joining the club SOON!
Given how short Burning Shores was, I really hope we're not going to have to wait 5 years for Horizon 3. I need to do a full NG+ run at some point . . . maybe something to fill time between LaD Gaiden and LaD Infinite wealth.
I believe we will use the Odyssey to travel to the five different corporations to acquire the tech. And I think its possible Gideon might become a new enemy faction in the nexy game.
I do also believe Aloy & co. will utilise the Odyssey. Chances are, it will become our new base, replacing the regional control centre. Those Far Zenith shuttles are probably capable of reaching the ship in, like, half an hour. If I had to guess, I would bet on the structure of Horizon 3 to be something like this: Act 1 - The Claim - searching for one of Sylens' leads, visiting Mainspring, meeting the Ealdormen council, maybe wrapping up the whole rebel Oseram storyline (since it was a thing in both previous games). Elysium could also be located somewhere in this area. Act 2 - revisiting Mother's Heart & Meridian (in limited scope similar to the Alight in H2) - Burning Shores datapoints teased that Zo would visit the Sacred Lands and Kotallo would attend an Embassy in Meridian. Seems to me it would make sense to see these events happen on-screen. Especially since both places are already fully designed and modelled. I really wanna see Zo & Sona interact. Act 3 - The Great Delta - we would use the Odyssey & the shuttles to travel across the ocean. Could be that a new lead from the Claim would lead us there. We would reunite with Alva, Seyka and some other Quen characters as well. I think it would make sense for H3 to feature the biggest city out of the whole trilogy and the Quen capital fits the bill.
@@ThePreciseClimber while I do believe we'll use the Odyssey to reach the Claim, admittedly IMHO I think our chances of going to the Great Delta is low. The areas on Sylens map pointed specifically to North America, so I wouldn't be surprised if we only visited locations on the current continent.
@@terryzitnak6947 Honestly I don't think they'd need to use the Odyssey to reach the Claim as it literally borders the sundom. Considering Horizon's manipulation of scale I feel like they'd just travel there on machines.
No, even our celebrity with the best mustache has noted that an army of Horus will not be able to take on NEMISIS. NEMISIS is like the Faro Swarm, but in space and they knows it. Besides their Biomass conversion, tanks are to be refeuled. All Chariot line models so far are susceptible to overheating.
Hey Random Side Quest! Great video! I know you’ve done some collaborations with Noxious Asp before, do you know what’s happening? His channel looks like it got hacked and he stopped uploading. Edit: The channel name was changed to ‘unknown’
so, going off nemesis=vs, maybe theres another copy of it on earth? im not a lore expert for anything, but maybe wed get that curveball. you never know what guerilla has in store, afterall
Plot hole. The malware was removed by both sisters then how come Hephastus still make deadly machines and escape? He should be remaining calm and collected.
As difficult of a subject it is, I wonder if you will be doing a video on what the death of Lance Reddick will mean for the franchise, from recasting him to somehow writing his character out of the story (neither seems like ideal solutions but you figure it would have to be one or the other)
I can't for a minute think you haven't considered Vast Silver as there are multiple data points, particularly in the Burning Shores DLC specifically referencing it. Maybe you just didn't want it to overshadow the other hints and plotlines you wanted to discuss?
I admire your restraint to not name-drop VAST SILVER in this video
Because a full video is coming. 😏

Love this topic RSQ! I also really like CYAN and hope it can play a role in H3. It would be super cool if we had to venture back to The Cut to talk CYAN into helping us since it’s afraid to receive GAIA's messages. Perhaps CYAN will merge with GAIA in an attempt to match Nemesis’s power…
i love CYAN my favorate.
Thanks Arktix! Hope we see more Cyan too 😁
@@RandomSideQuestHello RSQ, another great video, I have a number of different theories and speculation about the future of Horizon, that if your interested I would be willing to share that range from a logical explanation as to how HADES could have defeated FZ to how NEMESIS could be portrayed in Horizon 3 and more, several of them i have posted on the forums for the Horizon Fandom website, but I would be willing to discuss them if you find them interesting.
There are huge data centers everywhere in that area so between that and Mount Weather they would make good places for Vast Silver to hide durning the Faro Plague.
hmm, thats better than my theory of detroit or chicago..
I am PRAYING that GG doesn't introduce a spider machine. I will literally cry
It's coming!
Ouh damn i'm sure it will come 😭
Web caster!
I WANT THAT SPOIDER THAT'S WONDERFULL CONCEPT
I was imagining Sylens and Aloy was going up there as a side quest in the Zenith shuttle to explore all their technology and potential A.I. to combat Nemesis
well the FZ Base had a defensive AI called Julius, who knows if this guy is useful
I agree. It's become too powerful and too intelligent by this point.
I think Hephaestus is going to create Specter or “Prime” versions of machines and that’s the new machine variant we will be attesting in H3.
That's a possibility. I didn't think of that.
Like that
Chances are, the Odyssey will become's Aloy main base in H3.
@@ThePreciseClimber I'm really, really hoping for that. I love when a game gives a base. I don't even care if I can customize it or not, I just love bases.
Everyone keeps forgetting about the caveat of the vast knowledge that Apollo will drop on humanity.
Whatever happens i just hope to see more Beta and Beta and Aloy working together ❤
Edit to add: if anyone noticed, there's a map of the Delta region on Aloy's bed back at the base by the end of HFW
I didn’t know about that thanks for the info
This game is so underrated, glad to see some love for this.
@@kielbaily8513do you remember the name of this datapoint?
@@kielbaily8513good call. It's vague enough that the shadow could be Nemesis, or it could be a more direct reference.

I've got a feeling that the next game will be named "Horizon: Nemesis"
Would be wild tbh
Horizon extinction I bet
Horizon: face of extinction
That's such a lame title.
"Bloody Snowdrifts", "Flaming Skulls", "Sunshine Snowshoes", "Burning Turkeys"... 😂
I think the "rising ghost in the east" is Vast Silver
We better lose all of our weapons and armor. There's no point to open world RPGs if you just keep everything from the previous.
Three predictions I am certain will happen in Horizon III:
Thank you! Good point, I could definitely see that happening!
I do agree with lots of your points. My best guesses are
Vast silver will make an appearance with a second ai (possibly dlc), and aloy will have to combine them into her own ai with its own functions
Same as the machines becoming more and more advanced, with more dangerous variants, wildlife will also evolve into becoming more aggressive/dangerous while out exploring. Im not saying that we are gonna get attacked on site, but its no longer going to be one shot and barely interactive (maybe if cornered they will attack type of idea)
It was mentioned but as aloy has access to a space shuttle, perhaps finding a way to travel between continents and joining different tribes, perhaps even needing a bunch of people to override a certain "core" simultaneously to thwart a big danger
Nemesis is coming, but i feel like its mostly a tease for a much bigger danger, one thats already on the planet, so aloy will have to put a stop to it.
And finally that such as a stormbird causing a huge storm, maybe more machines will cause more adverse effects on the planet, such as one possible causing tornadoes or whirlpools on the water, sink holes or avalanches/mud slides on the ground for an idea
As always i totally love your videos thats broken down into simple explanations and are made easy to understand, and i cant wait for the next one
That’s why I play the game, for the story and the lore
I just want an armor with the posibility to fight underwater. Heavy, so you can walk and with jetpack
Amazing video, i am over the moon that i found your channel. Thanks for the upload.
Thanks so much 😁
Another point in your mentioning of machines being possibly different due to Hephaestus’s brush with Zenith tech is that the Cauldrons might not be the same in the next game either. The sun function might alter them in ways to increase the amount of machines that are made in a certain time span, or give the Cauldrons more dangerous aspects that make it harder to traverse through them.
All I know is that the trilogy will end when aloy sacrifices herself against nemesis and saves the world. Just like how sobeck sacrificed herself for zero dawn
There will be no other ending
I'm a foamer/railfan and i would be so tickled if Aloy found and restored an old locomotive and tracks and used this engine to get around and what if the engine was a PRR J1a 2-10-4 that was built in the 2040s just like how the T1 Trust is building a T1 from the ground up. Aloy would find the locomotive preserved in an ancient shed and restore it to operating condition with help from Varl and Erend
Whatever the solution to deal with NEMESIS is...I have full faith that Guerrilla will surprise us with a Wonderfull game as they did with HZD, HFW and HCotM
PS: I am so eager to see what NEMESIS look like!
Love the video! We getting a blooper reel this year?
I hope Nemesis can be redeemed rather than just destroyed. Also, there should be multiple endings, rather than just one.
I can't wait to see what new machines they think up. I also wonder how far east we will get to see. Maybe the plains of Kansas all the way down to the Gulf Coast?
Imagine a Motorcycle that runs on blaze(Since this is the Biofuel used by machines) created by a new tribe that Praises in the "OLD ONES"
It could lead to an uprising, especially if they discovered the truth behind some of the "ancestors."
I think the Carja will mistake Nemesis for their "buried shadow." I imagine when it comes it's swarm of bots will eclipse the sun just like the shadow is prophesised to.
Speaking of which I think it's odd that Londra thought 900 year old tech would stand a chance against the most advanced technological entity in existence.
And one last thing. What if Gaia used the towers to take control of the Faro Plague and have them fight Nemesis.
Big areas like Dead Island 2 could be sick!!!
I love your ideas
Since the setting already had us going across the USA, and the quen probably came from Asia; that would be an Awsome setting to go to for the next game! :)
Argh, so short! I need more! 😵💫
I'd like to see a spin-off where we get to design and alter machines ourselves, or otherwise flex some creativity. I think it would be a mistake for the main series, taking too much attention away from the story, but it definitely has potential for some sandbox-y fun.
I wish we added a DLC where Aloy finds a secret base with Doctor Sobbeck's good and faithful predecessors still alive in cryogenic capsules.
I swear im going to make so much fanart
Most dumbest comment
I hope Sylens can be kept around by means of deepfake technology.
@@davidhunt313that will be requiring a technology the zenith use to Deepfake Mr. Daalgar
Hey man, I got a question, do you know the story behind the guy Alot found her first focus on?
Thanks , love this content.
Hephaestus escaping yet again was such a lazy way to explain why we are fighting against machines yet again in the 3rd installment 😅
3 hints space ship, sentient angry AI, modern day technology
Horizon really has become my favorite video game franchise of all time.
I just REALLY hope that the 3rd game doesn’t make us go and try to capture hephaestus again because I ain’t dealing with that for the 3rd game in a row. lol
Just get Gaia to capture it at the start of the game and that’s it.
I want guns in the next games. They could make the gunplay similar to new tombraider games. It would be a great mix
i think we gonna have a prequel. just to respect lost of Sylen VA..
With hephaestus having been exposed to advanced technology from the zenith base whose to say when it is captured it doesn't try to use it against Gaia to "dethrone" Gaia to become the dominate program.
I wonder if those CertainT reformed hackers had anything to do with helping Faro cause the glitch
What if the derangement is Hephaestus preparing for Nemesis?
Nah, Haphestis had all the corrupted data and what was left of the signal removed when it got merged with Gaia, so this is a clean family friendly version that is building thunderjaw and etc because Beta told it to.
It had to enter the Zenith database and technology. That's why it'll still be messed up and antagonistic.
I predict we will see what happened to Elysium in the 3rd game
Will you make a video about the red raids
I have a crazy theory. Aloy was birthed in Horizon 1. Beta arrived in Horizon 2. We'll meet another in Horizon 3. And the trio will defeat Nemesis together. 😂 Sobeck's triplets lol
I trust the devs to create an interesting part three I love the franchise to bad I suck in playing this type of games.
Thanks for the theories. But my question is, who's going to voice Sylens in the next Horizon game?
Lance Reddick's role as Commander Zavala in the Destiny franchise has been given to Kieth David, I could imagine Guerrilla doing the same.
😮
It's gonna feel weird hearing a different legend voicing our sneering genius, but I think that's for the best.
I believe they will use hephastus to fabricate those weapon in large size and quantity to combat Nemesis. But what exactly is nemesis? I am unaware.
Do you feel the Mass...Effect rising?
My wild guess is that it will release late 2026
Guerrilla es working in an online game...
Horizon 3 gona take a lot of time
I need to take a break from Baldurs Gate and finish the DLC!!
If I had to guess, I would bet on the structure of Horizon 3 to be something like this:
Act 1 - The Claim - searching for one of Sylens' leads, visiting Mainspring, meeting the Ealdormen council, maybe wrapping up the whole rebel Oseram storyline (since it was a thing in both previous games).
I’m gonna throw this out there but is there a shot on using the faro swarm agian?
That would just be suicidal
No, even our celebrity with the best mustache has noted that an army of Horus will not be able to take on NEMISIS.
NEMISIS is like the Faro Swarm, but in space and they knows it.
Besides their Biomass conversion, tanks are to be refeuled.
All Chariot line models so far are susceptible to overheating.
Hey Random Side Quest! Great video! I know you’ve done some collaborations with Noxious Asp before, do you know what’s happening? His channel looks like it got hacked and he stopped uploading.
Edit: The channel name was changed to ‘unknown’
Vast Silver tho 👀
so, going off nemesis=vs, maybe theres another copy of it on earth? im not a lore expert for anything, but maybe wed get that curveball. you never know what guerilla has in store, afterall
When you mentioned Brin I feared you would talk about her profecy of Aloy's (or someone that looks like her) death!!!
Plot hole. The malware was removed by both sisters then how come Hephastus still make deadly machines and escape? He should be remaining calm and collected.
It had to be put into the Zenith system for a while, that's why it's still messed up in the third game.
wish there were books or something we can read whiel we wait
As difficult of a subject it is, I wonder if you will be doing a video on what the death of Lance Reddick will mean for the franchise, from recasting him to somehow writing his character out of the story (neither seems like ideal solutions but you figure it would have to be one or the other)
Sylens is a pivotal character which cannot be just written off. Perhaps a recasting?
I think there will be another copy of Aloy they had the means to create Beta so why couldn’t there be an evil version of her?
I can't for a minute think you haven't considered Vast Silver as there are multiple data points, particularly in the Burning Shores DLC specifically referencing it. Maybe you just didn't want it to overshadow the other hints and plotlines you wanted to discuss?
I recommend checking out the deep dive 😁
Who knows, perhaps 3th or 4th part will be staged on Zenith planet. Zenith spaceship in earth orbit need own climax.
