  • From 1948, “Guitar Boogie” by Arthur Smith. Lots of Arthur Smiths out there, but there was only one Arthur “Guitar Boogie” Smith. You might say, ‘never heard of him,’ but even if this song doesn’t ring a bell, then most likely you’ve heard “Dueling Banjos,’ which Smith wrote in 1950 (called “Feudin’ Banjos,” originally.) A very talented man and prolific to say the least, he became something of a legend, and guitar players everywhere take a stab at this one. You know I’m always honest with you, so I have to admit that he was not on my radar till Tommy Emmanuel ripped it to pieces, (as he does). So my attempt at this one is going to fall somewhere in the middle of the two, tee hee. It’s fun to play, on a Monday, so whadya say?
    Get down & boogie.

    The kinda music we play is very different lol but I'll sub to ya anyway cuz I enjoyed watching this and your technique is flawless. Good stuff.
