@@sk8shotany recommendations for a good indoor for the rink for beginner? For some reason when I watch skating it seems like some skates are lighter allowing for more dance moves, etc. Does it really matter or does that play a part? Suggestions on places to go outside or inside similar to your studio set up since rinks are limited in open hours for skating? Thank you
Omg wrap me in bubble wrap. I went roller skating for the first time in 30 years. I fell 3 times but got up right away. This is going to be a part of my life until the end. I had a ton of fun!
Loving these straight and to the point videos. Keep them coming! Wish I lived closer, I’d take lessons in a heartbeat. PS your studio is beautiful 💓 ⭐️💓
Thank you so much! that is defiantly the goal, no fluff. Nobody care about all that rambling 😆 glad you like it! also join the online skate school. Just you aren't here doesn't mean I cant help you get better! Its our SK8 Skool community of skaters and teachers
Awesome stuff 🙂👌🏻 And great to watch, but please film your videos in 'Landscape' profile by holding the phone sideways, rather than holding it straight up, It'll give us a much better view of how you move and do thing's 🙂 Keep up the fantastic work, All the Best, Mark 👍🏻 (UK)
What are you watching on? I ran a survey on what my skate community would prefer and they mostly voted upright... Maybe I need a bigger sample size and I know youtube prefers I upload wide videos but from what I can tell most people are actually standing on their skates staring at their phone while they try to learn so upright is easier and you can always zoom which I sometimes provide in the edit. p.s. thank you for the feedback I read all of these to make my videos better.
@sk8shot Hi mate 🙂 I watch on my phone, but I admit I'm not skating whilst watching 😉 You are doing and awesome job 👌🏻 And I enjoy watching over here in the UK Keep up the awesome videos, All the best, Mark 👍🏻
I got some Amazon Papaisons and tried to practice on the floor of apartment but the wheels seemed horrible and my movements weren’t fluid at all like at the rink so I returned them thinking it was a bad set of skates but you’re so agile in that tiny space you’re using for footage👍🏾
Its less about the equipment and more about the technique. Having a quality pair of skates defiantly helps the learning experience become smoother but once you know what you need to do it doesnt matter the setup. I tell members here all the time that you wouldn't buy someone who still learning how to drive the top trim level of a vehicle with the heated seats and sunroof and they don't even know which pedal is the gas or the brake. A cheap pair of beaters from Amazon is fine for now, but once you learn a few things invest in a quality pair.
Smooth as hell! You guys have any idea where I can get some fire ass skates!? I can’t find any good ones to buy. Also what’s a brand to go with then to avoid?
@@sk8shotany videos on how to swap out wheels? So I can simply buy the wheels and just change them, nothing else needed? Thanks and sorry for so many questions!! Lol
