I've seen many online courses, but you have a way of explaining things that goes beyond the content itself. It's your sincere and kind-hearted presence that truly makes it special. Thank you for this!
I am a super beginner with only cartwheel learnt about a month back. Next goals are hand stand, macaco, b kick, ariel and hand springs in the short term. BTW I am 35 😆😆😆
I'm always scared of falling or breaking my neck while trying these. Thank you for starter variations you add in your video sir, I'll definitely try them, I am flexible enough to hug my legs so I'm hoping that I'll adapt the harder variations soon. I'll try not to rush. May your coffee will always be on the perfect warmth and your pillow's both sides will be cold in summers, sir.
You should spend a while with rolls then, it will increase your confidence for the stuff you find harder. It’s like when I learned Judo, first learn how to take a fall, then learn how to throw someone over.
@@AA-tu8mi Alonso makes a great point! Next to building strength and flexibility (what my next video is about) knowing how to roll and breakfall are key to a safe acrobatics learning journey.
@@softacroaaron I'll be waiting for the next video then, sir. I'll make sure to squeeze every little knowledge like a sponge and will work on what I learn from you everyday, until I master on it.
Very nicely explained! I'm 55, and my only experience so far, is cartwheels and rolls.... though its a few years since done either.... trying to lose a bit of weight at mo, but this guy makes it look so easy, I'm defo gonna jump back in soon and at minimum, get back to where i used to be! Maybe even further along, let's see.... thanks
This gives me something to work on while it's the rainy/winter season, until Parkour season starts in spring. I don't know how my grappling school will feel about me doing these in a corner during an open mat though. 😂
Amazing and unique (to me at least) video! When I was younger I was into a lot of handstands variations; could do 10 handstand push ups, jump 2 meters into a handstand, drop from a height from handstand to well handstand, and on parallel bars or chairs from pike to handstands and so on. Unfortunately gained a lot of weight but this video just might get me back to master the handstands again! ^-^ Great video!
Wow! That sounds phenomenal and I bet your previous handstand experience makes those come back in no time. One thing that has come up for past students who return back to acrobatic skills after not having done them for a while, is that coordination improves more quickly than the joints at first. Taking a bit slower at first will do the trick - and of course it's a great time to explore other, related skills! 😁 You've got this! 💪
This is very interesting. Have you got a link to your ’Core six strength and flexibility exercises’ that you mentioned? It’s not showing up on the video when you mention it and I can’t find it on your channel!
Basic Cartwheels and rolls are super easy and require only not to be very fat, good trainer could teach them in few minutes. Handstands require a decent strength and balance level. Other skills I can't do yet. I like your approach of usefulness of skills.
Well yes, and no. 😄 I’d say “start what is fun to you” and if Capoeira, the Ginga, learning instruments and rhythm plus some Portuguese sounds fun, then yeah, I suggest anyone go do that. But if 90s hip hop, baggy clothes and top rock is more like it, then pick up bboying. Want a clean, strict atmosphere and are more interested in fitness + exercise? Then pick up adult gymnastics. Acrobatics are really diverse and culture matters - to some people more than to others. What I want to do is point towards the skills, regardless of background, that have the biggest return on invest for adults - and I teach how to learn those with ease. 😁
Thank you loads! The series I've planned here on UA-cam is "Better training plans for adult acrobatics" - looking forward to diving into the nitty-gritty. 😁
@@softacroaaroni need all the help i can get, even though i can do bridge rotations and a few other things like cartwheels, i reckon it is hard for guys in their 40's and beyond, to get the power and flexibility even if they've been training conventionally for years, its hard to apply to acro, the different non-linear playful mindset
@@Alien_Frog_king It sounds like you built a good physical foundation for acrobatics! Once that is in place straightforward, measurable progress is just a matter or applying the right motor learning principles and having good tracking tools! The average student age of my accelerator coaching is 42+ years old 😁 and those folks are making great and steady gains! There is a lot that can still be gained here - you've got this! At least I haven't met a person in their 40s that's truly at their genetic / time invest optimum. Quite the contrary - most people I know haven't even begun using the highest return on invest strategies for learning skills. I've laid it all out in my community already and over the coming months I'll share useful pieces here on UA-cam!
How strong do you have to be in order to go down this road? Does practicing these movements build enough strength through its practice or do you recommend physical conditioning in order to progress faster?
Aaron, which of your programs is the best to start with as complete beginner? You have an acronym body community and a course as well. Please explain the difference.
Absolutely, thank you for asking! Flow Beginnings is all about easy-to-learn moves that seamlessly connect. The goal is to learn to flow. Most of the skills can be learned in just a couple of minutes and they require a very small physical foundation. The Acro Body Community is all about big, more advanced acrobatic skills. It's about building a better physical foundation with a strength + flexibility practice and then learning the 6 CHARME skills, one month at a time.
Macacos ? I spent hours to try, when I was young, and circus was my job, I never could do a macaco. So... it's possible, yes, but I would not say that all adults can do that. Same for back hands springs.

Your movement through those hand stands is so beautiful and graceful.

Hey friend! I am 40 and have knee arthrosis. Do u think i can do/learn soft acrobatics or i should forget it?
Seems so effortless when you do it, but I am struggling with the handstand since two years an just can't progress any further 😅
True
