Okayyyyyy..... I’m obsessed! I’ve seen a lot of crazy legs, but not as smooth and swagger like you. So many skaters (good skaters) don’t have that upper body flow like you. That should be a class of its own, lol. I want to skate with you now! 🔥
I totally agree!!!! So smooth. Like he was born with skates on!!! So light and smooth on them. I was mesmerized. Such a great tutorial the way he broke it down!!! So good
Yesterday I spent 4 hours of my day following this tutorial, this is the first time I tired crazy legs, I have to say that your way of teaching is TOP!!!! I am impress on how I am moving right now!!!! I actually wanna come to your school to learn with you, as the technique taught in here is the best I have seen so far, I would say the best out there, thank you for sharing your knowledge, I hope I can come take classes one day. YOur videos are very technical, straight to the point, and they work! Hello from Mexico :)
Killer breakdown. So much to work on - keynotes, varialtions, excersizes etc - it's easily plenty enough for next decade or two, lol. Thank u for sharing.
Learning crazy legs 2 weeks in and your tutorial is my go to! I never get tired of watching it you’re so smooth!! You make it look so easy. Thanks for this great vid!
This is great for the up and coming skater, I'm a ol school skater from the late 70's early 80's the disco and early rap hip-hop times. My skate name I was call was Crazy legs also for all the moves I could do on the fly going in and out on the roll with the music. In a tight spot on the floor 6 to 8 people in a crowd I was at my best. It's so great to see how many people are getting back into skating, I'm 57 years old now and I have kept myself in great shape and when I go to get out on the floor with the gray that's in my beard they look at me like yeah " right . But with the right ol school song on, like something from the Almighty Gap Band it's a different look they have Like" DAMN " 😯😯😯. And some have seen me from back in the Days when they were little kids there with their Moms. They come to me and say I are, we remember you, you " are Crazy Legs. Wow " can you show us how to do that and it's not a problem, you just have to feel it with the music and let go of the fear of falling. I was blessed to have never had a fall and broke anything because people would fall and you had to jump are be quick to no how to go around them without getting caught up. One of the moves I had with my partner named James Brown😁 ,he would bounce me up and down while I was doing a split like a yo yo and that's the move so many of them remember and the one called the Jelly legs. But once again it's so great to see all the young people getting back into skating and I hope it here to stay. ❤✌✊ the 80's Crazy Legs 👍
Thank you James for sharing your story. And coming from a OG like your funky badself, I do appreciate the acknowledgement you express for the stuff I put out. Because it is exactly meant for those looking for inspiration to lace up some 8's!
Hell yeah! I am 42, and during my teens I was always in the rink Friday and Saturday from 6 to Midnight! Roll Bouncing with my friends, trying to get the girls! I love seeing the kids bringing it back!
I watched you for 4 years trying to learn this" Crazy Stuff" Finally I got it. Feeling kinda Dumb..Krazy. to see how "Easy" It is, and it took me so long.. You Changed my Life, "57 going on 27" Muchos Gracias mi Amigo.
I love how you've formatted this video to be so purely instructional and easy to follow. Thank you so much!! Great angles and I love the sound effects too. Adorable chime
Baby skaters: what people don't tell you about smooth skating.... so much abdominal work. Anything on your toes, heels, any kind of balance work requires ABS, not meaning you have to work outside of the rink, just meaning that when something feels difficult it's because you're using muscles you've never used, in a unique way that will require building those muscles. I didn't have any ab muscle when I started skating, but I can feel myself getting stronger every session. I was at the rink last night tryna see if I could do a whole song walking backwards (while skating backwards) and it's ALL lower abs and back. My back was cramping before I even got around the rink once since it's not used to doing a repetitive movement like that. Challenging yourself is the only way to improve.
Your videos randomly popped into my feed today. You're doing the stuff I wish I could do. I feel like it's going to take 30 years to learn all these moves. I'll be 85 at that point. The last 20 years I've been roller skating once a year on New Year's Eve on rental skates. Last month I bought my first pair of boot skates with hard wheels. I don't know if this old dog can learn new tricks but I keep trying. I don't know where you're located but I'm your new viewer from Ohio.
Greatest tutorial yet I’ve seen online teaching the crazy leg. I also believe with learning how to do the crazy leg and pivoting and learning to balance on yours heels, should make it very easy to learn the other rhythm dances. Just about every dance on the skates is mostly pivoting and on your heels and turning around. Thanks so much for this video.
Great tutorial. I watched a 45 minute tutorial and didn’t learn as much as I learned from you in your basic tutorial and this one breaks it down even further. Your camera angles really the viewer see your skate actions. Thank you!! 😊😊😊 This is my quarantine skill to learn.
I'm getting it! Holy shit! Your video...honestly...BOMB! I've been watching different videos for weeks. Your instructions did the trick. Thank you, thank you ❤🙏🏾🤞🏾
Great tutorial! I've actually been working on it for several months off and on; having had multiple injuries and surgery on my right knee has made it much slower, but I'm still working on my form. I also have some femoral anteversion (read pigeon toed) since I was a child that has made certain things almost impossible for me skating, but I'm still pt-ing myself through. I don't know if it's my deficits or if I just haven't built my lower leg muscles enough, but I'm still really slow at this one and lacking flow. It's amazing how fluid and effortless you make it look... I'll keep working.
Some people are just born to skate, you sir are at that level. So fluid in your movement, very subtle moves and with a cracking set of roller skates. Could watch you skate for hours but I swing for the ladies only lol. Sending a high 5 from Scotland.
Nah way dude! Lemme tell u what! This video left such a good visual impression that I got this the first try after putting my skates on! Whaaaaaat! Thank u so much!
Another great breakdown, after returning to skating after a long layoff....some 20 plus years these videos are great to help grasp the mechanics of the moves. Just a shame it's made to look so easy......:))))) practice practice practice.....see what these old bones can do😂
Would gladly take a week or so holiday to Holland and go out there about as graceful as a brick.....and hopefully come back graceful as a swan lmao....self taught skating back in the day now has a lot to answer for as I can now see a hell of a lot of underlying weight transfer- weight on wrong legs etc when trying to undertake most of the videos...🤦♂️
I been skating streets since a teen thinking I was good, then I tried this indoor dance malarkey! WTH😳 it’s like learning to skate all over again. Just in my man cave trying the above and boy, sweat! Oh yes brain is 😓 well presented and broken down. Determined to get this 👊🏾
I am going to do a thing you could add to your channel for those of us with brains that say no. :D I am going to grab this video and chop it up and make myself a practice loop of each step so I can drill. It would be super helpful for folks out there who need a day or to for each step. Could be a really cool addition to the channel. :D
Man you're the baddest guy I've ever seen on roller skates.
Okayyyyyy..... I’m obsessed! I’ve seen a lot of crazy legs, but not as smooth and swagger like you. So many skaters (good skaters) don’t have that upper body flow like you. That should be a class of its own, lol. I want to skate with you now! 🔥
