    Just found your video and thank you for the information. I’m currently installing an LS2 out of my Trailblazer SS, adding aT56. I already have the adapter plates for the mounts, ICT Billet alternator bracket, the Holley terminator x with the 3.5 screen! McLeod clutch master cylinder kit, G-force T56 crossmember and the AAW Chassis Harness. I’m running the stock truck intake and the DBW set up. I’m doing this all by myself. I’m not sure if there’s anything else I would need.

    Thanks. I didn't hear whether you had to notch the front cross member to get the oil pan to fit with enough clearance with motor vibration. I swapped and LS3 in a 69 camaro, used Holley motor Mounts and oil pan. We cleared it but still felt notching it gave us the extra room we wanted.

    • @rogo2287
      @rogo2287 3 роки тому

      Also I utilized this Holley Terminator X and Holley mid rise intake. I did have to notch a very tiny piece of the underside of the hood to clear the intake to close. But, in my view that is a very small thing to do to get this install. This mid rise intake is very trick looking and well worth it. I also had the cap powder coated red and slight pin stripe across the top. Looks great and performs well.

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance
      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  3 роки тому

      We did not notch the frame. We also had to trim the hood a bit for the mid rise.

    I have a 67 Camaro about to start on a full resto-mod job. I'm thinking LS3 turbo or super charged. I'm leaning toward super charger but, will an 8 speed or newer 10 speed automatic require some transmission tunnel cutting and fabrication?

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance
      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  2 дні тому

      I personally would not run either of those transmissions but yes you would have to cut the tunnel. Also, there would be some technical hurdles to work through as you would need to use a factory pcm to control the transmission and there was no pcm made by GM that would run the transmission and engine. Moral of the story, don’t do it. Just my $.02.

    What vehicle is the easiest to do an LS swap? If you are brought a rolling vehicle minus engine/trans what would the ballpark cost be for a 450-500 hp LS with 4L60E trans. I realize there are a ton of variables but I would just like to know how much I would have to budget for something like this. I liked your video and you seem to have a handle on good quality parts and precision workmanship.

    I'm swapping an LS1 out of a Holden Commodore (effectively the same as the 2004 GTO) into a 1967 Firebird (with a 4l60e). I have the AAW Classic Update kit and have been tossing around the idea of getting Dakota Digital gauges. What's your recommendation on the gauges, noting I'm looking to keep the externals looking as classic as possible, despite the drivetrain upgrades? And what else am i going to need to match those gauges with the AAW kit and the drivetrain? Any other tips that come to mind with that combo when it comes to the electronics would be greatly appreciated.

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance

      We use Dakota Digital on nearly every build. If you are looking for a gauge package that looks more like the factory style gauges, Classic Instruments makes a reay nice set. AAW makes installing aftermarket gauges easy by having a break out from the main harness just for gauges.

    I've been restoring a 69 camaro and have a t56 trans I'm going to use (and I'm getting an lsx 376 supercharged engine from boost district). I've heard it both ways, that the t56 will bolt right up and fit perfect, and I've also heard that you have to modify the trans tunnel to make them fit. I have the correct transmission mount for under the car but I'm curious if I need to modify the trans them before I go any further with finishing the inside of the car. The nice thing is it has a brand new floor plan with no hole so I can make it really nice and put the hole where ever I'd like without needing to patch any existing holes. But from the looks of it I need a trans hump "extension" piece from the majority of videos I've seen to make it fit correctly. Any advice on what to get? Or any other tips?

      We installed a tr6060 in our first gen. Minor clearancing of the front of the tunnel for it to fit. As you are aware it will have a fixed output vs a slip yoke. The Tr6060 was also longer which caused required modifications of the T56 cross member kit to fit. You will also need to connect the oil cooler lines together (this is pump driven and cannot be plugged). Good luck!

      Also we did the tailshaft/housung swap to convert to a slip yoke. Very glad we did as this converted to a standard T56 shifter. Also gave us the option for standard gear driven speedo. These swaps are very involved as it requires a complete tear down of the trans but it was worth the effort.

    This was painful to get through. Can you possibly work on finishing a single sentence without the "ahhh"?

    I have 67 camaro with a small block 350 If I were to do the exact setup engine and transmission and you would have to buy everything and install everything how much do you think it would cost?

    • @Zero2SixtyPerformance
      @Zero2SixtyPerformance  4 роки тому

      Roughly $8k in parts. That does not include the Vintage Air Conditioning system.

      Zero2Sixty Performance so that would include you guys buying the engine the transmission and the correct parts that you guys would need and the labor?

      That includes all the parts to install it just like this swap. The engine and transmission would be extra as well as the labor. I would be happy to send you an estimate if it is something you are interested in. Shoot us an email at david@zerotosixtyperformance.com

      To do a complete engine swap which would include a new ls3 , new 460le trans, plus labor to pull out the old motor and install the new ls3 and all the parts necessary (minus the cooling system if you already have a decent radiator etc) to make it a connect and drive, would run you about$20- $25k total
