Old school here. I’ve owned many Corvettes over the years from a 63 Split Window, 78 Pace Car on up and would never dream of replacing factory wheels. Never. Now, back in the day we would use Cragar Wheels on other muscle cars but never on a Vette.

Those wheels are _perfectly_ positioned relative to the fender-edges -- not too narrow, not too wide. For guys who have never tried to get a really exactly perfect set of wheels for their car, well, believe me, it's not so easy to do with readily available wheels, especially right now. Going the custom route, as Craig did here, is expensive, but you see the result. Beautiful.
But dude it doesn’t look good at all in that car you should’ve found something different as far as the way the design is or even not even put them black you know it could’ve been a polished chrome or chrome or some of the type of design with the black like maybe have a red lining around it you know the way it’s design maybe they might’ve brought it out you know something different need to look into that but sorry those rims just don’t bring out that car But I love Vizio six but they’re going to bring out faster ones than that so they’re probably gonna cost more than half $1 million you’re probably looking at over $1 million once they get into the ones that do 1500 hp more and they will be gas powered because they’re supposed to blow away all the exotic sports cars out there But anyways if you wanna give me your 06 I’ll take it you don’t have to sell it just give it to me I’ll change the rims on it I’ll put the old ones back on it I’ll take a like that but I have a good one

That's a ok deal @ $88k.. Besides the Z51 it has.. IMO Mag ride & Front lift are a MUST.. GT2 seats would be a plus..

Anything with a V-8 in it will be taking a nose dive in value in the near future. Case in point, Dodge is no longer producing V8s after this year. Read the tea leaves, how long before these high performance V-8s join the ranks of 8-tracks, boomboxes, and VHS? If Craig picks up $88K for this car, I think he'll be very lucky, that's on the high side in today's "electric only" environment. But dumping that toy now is a good idea, although the 6-speed may be a deterrent to many of the older portion of your customer pool. If it were me, that early Viper would be on the chopping block next, I doubt it will appreciate under our current administration. GLWS.
@@GroundedFlyboy737 you could argue that it will make the value higher. It will make these cars rare. That's why cars like the miata have gone up in value in the past 5 years because not a lot make manual convertible these days.
If the economy really tanks nobody is buying anything that's not essential. I believe firesales are coming and it may hit rich people luxury items first like exotic cars fancy jewelry mega mansions as not enough people will be here to purchase if in a recession

5:25 Actually most of the tire dealers have a touchless ,and could do it properly.The issue is since they didn't sell you the wheels ,they don't want to risk it.The $200 labor they get would be negated if just one of your wheels get scratched ,or TPMS gets snapped off by too much pressure on the drop center of the wheel ,or nicked with an air gun socket.They all have touchless machines ,or at least 90% of shops

$88K? Why? You showed us the sticker. Why would anybody with a brain not merely get a new 2LT Corvette close to sticker? Forget the overpriced Z06 which is overpriced for what you get and most mortals can't get one unless Chevy can use their youtube channel for marketing like Hoovie, Emelia, SuperSpeed and others.
In spite of what you said, interest rates are rising. Country is going into a recession. C8's have been way marked up and overpriced due to free money from the FED now there is a glut on dealers lots because people can't afford them. Let them sit. A year from now your Corvette will be worth in the $70's and the real reason you want to sell it. Market is crashing for all luxury items from houses to Rolex's.
Like I say, enjoy it.
The other thing is, really how much do owners truly love their Corvettes? Owners are flipping them like changing their Nike's.
PS. If taking the trouble to switch to aftermarket wheels, you should have gone with 20/21" wheel spec like the Z06 only with less offset due to the Z06 fender changes. Yes, it would have cost you more because you would have to change tires. The wheels on all base C8's are undersized and the Z06 wheel diameters front/back match the proportions of the car. I am a car designer.

I know you love your Viper and the cash received for both is different but I would have sold that almost undrivable Gen 1 Viper. Before you say it, yes I have ridden in and driven a Gen 1 and of course you can drive them BUT you have to be so careful and maintenance will kill ya if you choose to drive it.

I owned a few vetts before. I loved going to Vett car shows and another owner telling me my car was junk and how special theirs was. It was the majority of the owners, it was actually entertainment for me.

@@tennnis498 my Vetts might have been just normal, I’ll give them that. One owner was telling me his had some special ordered trim piece in his interior that made it a 1 of 1. Stuff like that just makes me laugh.

Like when he said he wanted to give the towncar away but then said he couldn't afford to give up the car since he can make 4-5k off of it even tho he only paid 1,000. So he definitely didn't just buy them wheels just so he can give it away. Btw the tonrwncar car not even worth 5k, I bought mine for lerss then 3 racks. Looked newer and had way less miles.
