      Hi Meredith
      If symptoms are getting worse for you then it may be an idea to ask your doctor for a general health check. Other ailments can creep in at this point such as low iron, low thyroid function, low vitamin D or B12 or even diabetes, and these can all cause menopause-like symptoms. Your doctor can test for these just to rule them out.

    Hi I’m Annie from New Brunswick Canada. In January 2015, I’ve had my thyroid removed and in June 2023, I’ve had my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. So I’m about to experience menopause soon. I am on Synthroid with a dosage of 0.088mg
    I will be going to my ENT on Sept 18,2023 to see if I need more Synthroid dosage.

    I've been weight training for 23 years. In menpause this month, 12 months no cycle. The aches and pains in knees is horrible mostly at night.Am I more at risk now? Drinking hot water 4 litres minimum, exercising daily, taking magnesium, having massages, hot sauna most days, vegan, high protein, meditate... don't know what else I can do?

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Samantha
      You seem to be doing everything right but maybe add in some oils especially for the joints. As you are vegan you could try a flaxseed capsule. It is also a good idea to get this checked out by your doctor just in case it isn't related to the menopause.

    I've defo noticed an increase in pain that doesn't make sense! As I was active back working and usually that cures my aches ie 2 b active so I think it's end peri menopause start menopause! I've got an inflammatory disease also so i feel magnesium may help. I was allergic to magnesium b4 but it was a massive daily dose. So then I avoided taking it ever since! I feel i should try it! I did just know it was me getting old in the job as i always worked and I just could not cure the stiffness leaning over bending down I could just feel i was older now! Sad but true. It's tough also as i have the bones of a 60yr old age 40 goin thru early menopause. Well that's now2r3yr it goin on. I'm way better but I was also very very upset about never having kids! My new bf has helped SO much as he has kids, loves them and we may foster which is AMAZING that he was interested in this with me!

    I’m a little bit confused when it comes to women’s hormones. For a while I’ve been told by different physicians both traditional and naturopaths that I am estrogen dominant and that this is why I’ve had so many issues with heavy bleeding during my menstruation, terrible cramping, headaches, body pain, anxiety, etc. Now that I’m almost 42 I’m starting to think I’m premenopausal which means estrogen is actually dropping? And this is the cause of my feeling all these body pains? But my periods are still very heavy, painful, and regular each month. I’m so confused 😢

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  Рік тому +1

      Hi Ruth, I know it can be confusing! What is called oestrogen dominance is actually oestrogen levels being higher compared to progesterone. So an excess of oestrogen can lead to heavy periods, cramps and PMS. In perimenopause, oestrogen can drop which is what happens when periods start getting lighter and further apart. But often progesterone levels drop faster than oestrogen so oestrogen is comparatively high which is why you may be getting some symptoms of perimenopause as well as heavy periods. Agnus castus is a herb that can be really helpful for this! You take it every day of your cycle for 1-3 months to notice the benefits. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/agnus-castus/index.php

      Hi Marina
      Some women find that their posture can change slightly and this can have quite a big impact on how you sleep. If you've not bought a new mattress for a few years you may find getting one can really help - it may be that your body needs a different firmness or softness in order for it to relax properly before sleep.

    What can you drink besides water during menopause

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  Рік тому +1

      Hi Marie
      You can drink herb teas, white or green teas or diluted fresh fruit juices (there's a lot of fruit sugars in these so only drink occasionally). If you really need coffee or tea then just have one cup of coffee before 12pm and 1-2 cups of tea but before 5pm - caffeine drinks later can cause poor sleep.
