I too had a lot of emotional issues when I went through the big change last year....I had crying spells, weepiness, I felt so alone, I felt so vulnerable, I felt so needy, I felt so lonely and I was reaching out to anyone, especially strangers just for communication and comfort. I also experienced irrational fears. And at times, I felt like I was go crazy. Good God I never want to go through that period again. I am much much better now.

Hello, I could not believe it when I read your comments as it is exactly how I feel too! I hate getting dressed too, but I am going to try the brisk walking also, have you ever felt restless in yourself and tearful? I am trying a herbal remedy but do you have any suggestions?

These are great tips, but in regard to number three, I think after a lifetime of working and taking care of other people, children, pets, a husband, a parent, etc., it's quite reasonable to want to be left alone and do things for one's own self. I am fed up, and rightfully so. Hormones or not!
Im at stage now of no sleep, anxiety and panic attacks... tired, nervous, and heart attack few months ago. I've decided to go on hrt😔 I can't do this battle anymore 😭😭

This is crazy my boyfriend and I just had a discussion about how I didn't want him to park where everybody else was parked i wanted to be in a secluded area saying that I didn't want to have the car where do many others were, I said "to many people" and he started laughing a little laugh at me and said that I have to be sociable we're just parking the car. I felt like I wanted to run and get into an area where there was no one around. We were at a popular tourist site.
I know alot of women who are on antidepressants as well as HRT for the anxiety and depression it can cause. This is a huge issue , the cognitive health. I've had a nervous breakdown because of it.

Hi Yes, this is a huge problem in the menopause and with all that's going on in the world today we know that more and more women are suffering. Hope you're well on the road to recovery now. Best Wishes Eileen
I‘ve come back to your videos, after all the craziness in the world right now. Thank you so much for continuing with them. My symptoms have increased: along with the vaginal and urinary pain which unpredictably come and go, now sore wrists have started, burning at times (joint pain?). But this mood thing has been so far relatively seldom for me, and seems to come unexpectedly: a very occasional strange feeling of being disassociated with LIFE somehow. Feeling somehow off, lacking in emotion, being uninvolved, but also feeling strange because of this feeling of being uninvolved. Very odd, and I am thankful (and hopeful) it will remain seldom and brief.
Hi Karen Welcome back! I have posted a video on joint pain and what you can do to help yourself so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/joint-aches-and-pains/ Best Wishes Eileen

Would greatly appreciate a reply and hopefully ease my anxiety over this.. Many thanks for all your help through this tough time us women go thru.
Hi SC Great to hear that you love the posts, thank you! We do know that electric-like shocks, tingling and pins and needles can be caused by falling oestrogen although I don't think the exact mechanism of this is known. Low magnesium can sometimes be a factor so you may find a magnesium supplement, approx 200mg twice a day, can be of benefit. Fish oils can often help nerve function so you could add one of these in too. If you are not on any prescribed medication you could also take the herb Hypericum; this is know to calm nerves down physically and we often recommend it for sciatica, neuralgia and shingles. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/hypericum/ Acupuncture may often be of benefit but I don't think practitioners are practicing at the moment due to the present circumstances but it may be something to think about when things get back to 'normal'! Don't forget the water as dehydration may make this worse! I would also do a diary so write down everything your eat and drink and feel (note when you feel extra anxious or panicky) for a fortnight and when you get an episode and you may find a link to certain foods/drinks or emotions. Do let me know how you get on. Best Wishes Eileen
