Wow, congrats!! My son took AP Chem and AP HUM GEO (scored 4) as a freshman too! It was Covid year, big big mistake and I wish the school would have not allowed it for Chem. It was online, no labs that year abd digital test- so no going backwards to check answers. Crazy.
He was thinking about being a stem major but his first AP failure in Chem was discouraging. He since had had 5’s in APUSH, ENG LANG, 4 in PHYSICS and 3 in GERMAN.

AP Chemistry as a freshman? Strange. In my school if freshmen take an AP at all it generally is AP World History. I didn’t take any AP classes freshman year, then took one in AP World History sophomore year (some people took AP Chemistry sophomore year but I just did Honors).

Congrats! I also got a 5 on AP Chemistry but I was a sophomore and had taken honors chemistry freshman year so it was a lot easier.

@@ilovepalitaw Yeah, so the exact class experience depends on the teacher but my AP Chemistry teacher was the best teacher ever in that he prepared us so well for the AP Chemistry exam. After the exam everybody felt pretty confident. I would say that you should expect to study quite a bit but I think that it's a good experience for sophomore year and it will be a challenge. The best way to study is to go home after every lecture and watch the khan academy video on whatever the teacher taught because chances are that Khan academy can teach it better. I hope this helps! @@heroryan7859 To study you should go through the topics that you don't know on Khan Academy and do their practice quizzes. They are really helpful. Also, watching AP Daily or Organic Chemistry Tutor on youtube really helps too.
Really hated human geo, and ended up getting a 4. I also took ap bio and got a 5 and thought it was immensely easier than human geo. 🤷♂️

How did you find the exam duration for each section?
WTH r u taking AP Chem as a sophomore, I am in Hn. Alg II trig as a freshman so I could do it if I wanted but there is just no way

but yeah I got chem out of the way and I’m currently taking AP Bio as a sophomore which is such a relief compared to AP Chem lol

Got an A in the class, but the AP test kinda sucked. It was an ECE course as well, so at least I got credits for it. If I remember to, I'll say what score I got on the AP exam once it's released in July.

I just took my AP tests this week and as a freshman I of course took AP HUG, but I also took AP Bio (also do not recommend) I had about the same experience in AP bio as you did Chem. I don’t feel super confident about the test but I think I atleast got a 4, which at this point I’ll be happy

Well depending on what he what’s to be in the life taking some AP classes that are irrelevant to it is pointless, like if you take all AP classes when they won’t be helpful to what you wanna be than you are just being super extra
