It’s actually not as overwhelming as it seems! I matched a few hard APs with some “easier” APs each year so the workload wasn’t too bad. It’s also helpful to finish any homework you can at school, to make time for studying at home. Ik every high school is different though, so mine might be on the easier side hahah

Hi! For me, it was definitely the hardest AP because of all the content we have to memorize. Honestly, I’m not the best person to ask when it comes to tips because I only scored a 3 😅 My friends who did way better used a lot of Khan Academy to study, so that may help! Good luck!
Hey, i'm currently entering my senior year and as of right now, UMD is my dream school. Though I have a bit of hesitancy and wonder if you could give me some feedback? Throughout my freshman year (first year back since covid) I slacked pretty hard, i had a 3.00 average, and like you, my school doesn't do A+s or B's+ my grades were pretty horrible though I did manage to strike a few A's and B's. My sophomore year was alright, I was a 3.29-3.40 average. I had a few B's, got one C and had a few A's. My junior year was definitely a huge academic comeback. I had a 3.86 - 4.00 (i ended with a 4.0 unweighted) with majority honor courses, and 1 AP. I had a few EC's but 0 club involvement which i'll make up for senior year but I won't try to join too much. I also was able to intern as a journalist-aid through a relative in NYC and that was a very humbling less to me. How was your UMD application process? While I know I can't directly ask you if I have a good shot or not since acceptance varies, do you have any tips to boost my overall application before early action? I'm planning to redo my SAT in September so hopefully I will be applying October.

Hi! Thanks for reaching out! From my understanding, UMD (and many state schools) cares a lot about GPA and standardized test scores. ECs & essays are important if you are looking to get in the honor programs / scholarships. Don’t stress too much about the essays- the prompts (at least from last year) were pretty short. Just treat them with care. I’d say the best thing you can do now is study hard for the SAT to try to get your score as high as possible. I’ve been meaning to make a tips video, but, in general, having good test taking strategies and doing LOTS of practice exams will be the most effective way to improve. If you want to major in a limited enrollment program, make sure your ECs demonstrate passion for that subject. I wish you the best of luck! Don’t forget to apply EA to UMD because that’s when they accept the majority of the class.

It's done at the beginning of your last year of high school & results come out near the end of that school year.
