- KoRn's bassist Fieldy is not on drugs, his STILLWELL bandmate Anthony "Q-Unique" Quiles said on a recent podcast. KoRn's bassist has temporarily stepped away from his position in the band in 2021.

Old habit is an understatement when it came to the band drinking. If you look back at their footage from the early years there were very few moments they didn't have a can of beer in their hands. During the recording of Follow the Leader, they spend over $27K on alcohol.
I remember hearing about that stuff from both Fieldy and Head's autobiographies
Watch their old video “Who Then Now?!?”! if you want to get a taste of hard hard the boys used to party- it’s funny at first, but if you think about living that way 360- whhooof!
@@ashcan6 I have their Deuce DVD that has Who Then Now, and all their footage up to Issues. Music videos, promos, behind the scenes, all while your traveling through an Asylum to find the clips. Its pretty cool lol

This was 1999-2000…we bought the tape from FYE. For all you kids reading this, FYE was what was known as a “music store”; yes, a whole store based on the premise of selling physical copies of your favorite music. See, it was printed onto these little mirror surfaces discs called “CDs-Compact Discs”. Your mom and dad probably have some in the basement that they use for drink coasters.
But yeah, we were not much younger than Korn, and we drank almost as much…Milwaukee’s Best and Olde English 40’s several times a week, multiplied by ten before shows and at practice. We used to make any poor sap that came to visit us watch that damn thing, whether they felt like it or not. Well, that or any of the pre “Jackass” CKY and Big Brother Magazine skateboarding tapes. It was a simpler time…

I love Fieldy. Him and Head have always been my favorite members of the band, though i love them all.
I use to see him at the Chili’s in Aliso Viejo, California chilling with his family. He always appeared straight.
Thats cool. My friend has run into him at the targer over there. I used to see his daughter and cousin hang out at the rush bar on el toro. Ive also seen david silveria hang out at the wayfarer in costa mesa.

Maybe touring with one of the Major Bands in the World has worn him down a bit and just wants to rest a little with side band. Great that the guys from KoRn are ok to let him find some Zen. Hoping he comes back, as he makes the band complete.

Addiction is one hell of a thing and it is a constant battle no matter how long. People wanna make it black and white calling it a choice over disease. Truth is its both. Because the underlying problem is trauma that usually was caused and leads to it.
But I hope dude is well.
If you really want to quit, you can do it. Shot smack and coke for 15 plus years of my life. It took me to almost losing a leg to finally make something inside of me click. Almost 10 years off everything as we speak and frankly, nowadays not only I don't miss that "life" one bit, but I even struggle to recognise myself in that shadow of a man I've been for that many years. It's possible. You really have to want it.
I'm not here to guess what Fieldy is doing and his habits. What I am going to talk about is I thought this was a beautiful "episode" of Rockfeed. I love that Q stepped in for Fieldy. What does it matter what his habits are. He is happy right now, with people who gives a shit, that matters!

I'm not speculating about anything. If it's alcohol that can be just as bad as drugs. Remember, Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning, not a heroin overdose. Stuff can be bad. I hope Fieldy can get help and has support if he needs it.
Isn't alcohol a drug? I don't get why people always call it "drugs and alcohol" when alcohol is THE primary drug of choice for most people. Someone needing help or support for drinking should be taken as seriously as if the same person was seeking help for hard drugs; hard drinking can take you in just as dark a place as any other "hard" drug.
@@musicman9901 100% facts. But I separate alcohol BECAUSE it's more prevalent than other drug addictions except cigarettes.

I honestly feel like you have to write it as drugs AND (or including) alcohol because society is so conditioned to accept drinking that they wouldn't include drugs with alcohol unless you specifically mention it together. Just funny how simply because it's generally acceptable to drink how it isn't really considered a drug anymore.
Alcohol is by far the worst for you. Followed by meth.

One thing some people may not get , is past 3-4 drinks for most people , there is a "bounce back" reaction the next day as the alcohol leaves your system. Your blood pressure and heart rate jump up as the depressant effect wears off and it triggers your fight or flight response ' So in short , you get anxiety and panic attacks . And it can last most of the day so you are off your game and edgy , maybe avoid certain things you'd normally do. And you know what helps with that at night? Some drinks. So you see where it's easy to get caught up in that cycle even if you aren't drinking heavy. I've counciled plenty of people for anxiety issues that were caused strictly from drinking and they never made the connection . And once you get past 40 it gets even harder to handle that aspect of it. Now the second part is after a show, you are PUMPED. Like nothing else I ever felt. If I don't use something to knock myself out I'm not sleeping. Easy for me, I only gig a few times a month. But for a touring band thats a huge deal.
If you are a timid person, then that can cause the anxiety for sure. Not being able to assert yourself the way you want on an individual basis. I'm not timid, but used it as a way to stay off of heroin at first. Then it just becomes normal. I didn't start drinking until I was 30. I'm 43 amidst now. Could of stopped 5 years ago about, but the scabs of society caused some stress. Working on it and definitely attempting to adjust to the bs.

I remember many years ago he was on Dr. Drew's show. I think Head was on too. Close to 20 years ago. They were doing oxy. They didn't even know it was synthetic heroin til Drew told them.

I feel Fieldy is as good as gone from Korn. Remember what happened to David? He took a hiatus from the band in 2006 and he was never allowed back.
yeah david wasnt much for drugs but because he had a back injury and also wasnt happy with the last album they did in 2005. they clashed and he left. fieldy has always had alcohol issues. so thats most likely why.

I feel like fieldy probably parties a reasonable amount but the majority of KoRn is like super sober after getting off Meth and Booze so they have no tolerance for it. Other than that I'm sure Fieldy is at a place where money isnt a factor and hed rather just jam with the homie Q unique instead. Sucks for whoever wants to see Korn live though :(. He was still on the album and nobody has said officially he is out of Korn. He just skipped touring.
Fieldy is not wealthy enough to just stop working.

He's doing his thing. And he didn't like the direction KoRn was going in. The last album for me based off the single and video was trash. Never thought I would say that about KoRn, but they've been together 30 years making new music steadily. There is a time to stop once you lose your flare. Jon's done so many creative songs that never sucked,I just hate for him to start running out of good ideas. There's zero to prove. If it isn't KoRn anymore, start another project.
