This was so satisfying and calming to watch. THANK you for not putting any music underneath the video. And the scenes speak for themselves, so narrating them with a voiceover would not have added anything. It’s beautiful the way it is because watching you at your craft is beautiful.
I agree, it gets very old watching content creators thinking they have to have a crappy one minute+ intro and pound your skull in with some free shit music during most of the video. It's very refreshing when you get someone like this that gets that and just makes a great video such as this one.
Would you ever consider selling the pre-cut leather in like a pack of 4 or something for people who don't have access to tools like cutters or materials to use in order to DIY our own straps? (Very serious)
Very neat, very impressive, best of all was the color grading of the video shots at the end of the finish product, very nice lighting, composition, texture, loved it, it would be so nice if you make a behind the scenes video.
You make some really amazing and beautiful quality gear, you have inspired me to try leather craft also! Although I am sure your level of workmanship is almost always as top notch as in the videos, I can also imagine mistakes are made (we are all human). It would be really cool to see a “when things go wrong” video. You can also learn a lot from how a professional deals with problems and mistakes… again, many thanks for sharing your absolutely amazing work!
Can one of these be ordered? I don't see it on your website. Would love to have one with maybe just an additional 2-3 inches in length so it can go abound my neck and over one shoulder.
Hey, Love the videos. Have a suggestions for this one. How about burn the ends of the rope so they melt and while still hot, put right into your leather and squeeze until it cools. Essentially gluing it in place and then you can add your stitches to reinforce?
I recently bought the Affinity software suite for my mac to hopefully begin creating digital patterns for my leatherwork. Do you have any videos regarding how you create your patterns? I'm not as interested in the design aspect as much as the technical details of using the software.
Hey, I’m not familiar with the Affinity suite. I use illustrator to design my files. Here’s a video showing how I do it. ua-cam.com/video/uCSNmQDgWT8/v-deo.html
Sweet little design. The laser is perfect for this kind of small detailed work. I'll have to try it. Is the paper just regular adhesive backed? Thanks for all you do. Hope business is good. Peace.
Awesome idea! I might do one but with a flat dyneema climbing sling. I’ve got a big, heavy camera and I don’t thing that single line of stitch on each side would be tough enough to give me piece of mind.
Cool video! My first impression is that it's nice aesthetically but surely it's too thin and it would dig in unlike the thicker peak design one. Then I saw you put it over your neck and I realised it's for a small camera. For me using a larger full frame camera neck straps are horrible ergonomically.
I know you're a master leather craftsman, but you'll find the dye goes on easier if you use tokonole first. And it doesn't go everywhere when you do it that way.
For a small camera it's fine, but for one with a certain weight, that round and narrow strap is going to stick into the neck for sure. Nevertheless, an exquisite job. Congratulations
Nothing feels better than owning something you personally created with your own hands. This is beautiful and very elegant. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you!
Unique? Google - paracord camera strap…

A worthy strap fit for a Leica

Thanks! It’s just a large masking tape. I got it from Trotec.
Beautiful 🙂👌🏻
Once again, very nice project and the video editing/production is outstanding. 👍🏼👍🏼
Would love to see you make a tool bag with pouches
Inspired
love the craftsmanship BTW, is this only for Leica cameras?
Thanks! It’s for any smaller mirrorless camera system ✌🏼
@@LittleKingGoods figured because of the cord yes 🙌🏾 goes well with my R7 day to day set up

Totally understand!
That was my thought while watching this. How much weight can that tiny line of thread in the center really hold?
so nice
By the chance of the agorithm of UA-cam I fall on this magnificent video. With which microphone do you take the sound?
Hey thanks so much! I use the Sony shotgun mic for the Fx3 handle module.
@@LittleKingGoods thanks a lot

Gorgeous! When they are back in stock, I’m definitely ordering one!
looks like in stock for 115.

"For me using a larger full frame camera neck straps are horrible ergonomically" not so is my 50mm EDDYCAM one.
Why did you not do all the burnishing before putting the leather through the anchor? Would have been a lot easier, don't you think?
The edges of the leather piece gets pretty mangled after going through the peak design anchor.
Next episode on Pete's channel! Lol
N°1!!

can you do this with a leather strap
Is Canadian visa easy to get? 🙄😐
Welp, I have a crap ton of scrap kangaroo leather lace. Maybe I should bang out a 40" round braid and see what I can get for it, eh? ;)
