Enjoyed the reaction. I've seen in other comments the info on Saki's "Killer" guitar. I can elaborate a bit. Killer guitars is a signature brand started by Loudness guitarist, Akira Takasaki. They're built and distributed by ESP, but only available in Japan. Saki actually has her own signature model 7-string Killer guitar called "The Empress". But for this song she chose to go with a six string model. You'll see her "Empress" in other videos.
Read to end for links to original songs. Nemophila were founded in 2019. They are a supergroup composed of: Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects) Other than Saki, none of them had previously been with a breakout band, despite having amazing chops. Getting these five together did the trick-they are just exploding. Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized Mayu with some help from Saki. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Then they began posting originals, starting with “Oiran” ua-cam.com/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/v-deo.html They tend toward hard and heavy, but also do ballads and some pop covers. After Oiran, others to check (if you haven’t already) include "Dissension", which will fry whatever is left of your circuits: ua-cam.com/video/26aMuahxz8c/v-deo.html and “Raitei”, which means “Thunder” in Japanese, and yes, they bring the thunder: ua-cam.com/video/lh-dVLKP314/v-deo.html Nemophila’s youtube channel: ua-cam.com/channels/voAeGZoC8giXP59NOZABIA.htmlvideos
Killer is the signature line of Akira Takasaki, founder of Loudness, one of the first metal bands in the world. It is made by ESP. Saki has her own signature model. "Killer" is also a word play--most Japanese would pronounce it "Kira", which sounds like "Akira".
Killer guitar made by ESP. This band is pure FIRE, you need to check out their originals in any order I would go with Dissension, Raitei or Oiran. Their covers are also all great. Also if you have never listened to Iron Maiden their catalog is massive and of incredible quality. As for watching lives, Nemophila started in 2019 and have only 1 live video I have seen in front of a crowd. In that video they were not even in a group yet just helping the singer out. They so enjoyed each other they decided to come together as a band. They are all members or ex-members of other bands, essentially a supergroup. They are: Mayu-Vocals Saki-Guitar (red) Hazuki-Guitar (black) Haraguchi-san-Bass Tamu-Drums (very pregnant in this video)
Great reaction brother. Hazuki the guitarist on the left plays Ibanez guitars. Saki, on the right, plays Killer guitars. Killer is a high end boutique (expensive) guitar company from Japan that has ties to ESP. Saki is one of the greatest shredders you will ever come across. She founded this band by inviting some stars from other bands to join. Saki's other band Mary's Blood rocks hard. Watch their song "Marionette" if you want to see Saki go off on a guitar.
Nemophila is a band formed in 2019, but actually each of their members is from a different band, so nemophila is like a super band type, and they are a very unique band, they have no specific style, each song has different elements, Both guitarist are often used the 7 string, and of course 5 string bass,Two guitarists: Saki and hazuki are very famous guitarists in Japan, drummer tamu is one of the best drummers in Japan, she not only plays rock and metal, she is also a very good jazz drummer.
Boy are You in for a ride With Nemophila Good that you started with the first upload that brought most of us fans to this amazing band .Run down on Equipment Saki (Killer mostly plays 7 string ) Hazuki was ESP now on the Ibanez team plays there top of the range 7 string .Haraguchi Sadowsky 5 string bass. Tamu on the official Tama team and does live YT for them world class .And Mayu on mike boy can she do some crazy vocals with attitude .All these ladies are incredibly talented Saki guitar royalty in japan ,You have seen and heard nothing yet 7 original's and the fantastic covers dig in .Quite new as Nemo but there all experienced with other bands the find of 2020 .Next online live 19th of this month.
Band Maid, Nemophila - next you should check out the all female Japanese metal band Lovebites. Try their live version of 'Holy War' or anything from their Zepp Diver City, Tokyo live concert in early 2020. The red guitar with the pick guard you like is a Killer probably a KG Fascist with a personalised pick guard.
I am happy because you picked up Nemophila which is one of the best female Hard Rock/ Metal bands in Japan. Please look into another Japanese female heavy metal band called Lovebites which goes neck to neck with Nemophila. I am sure you will enjoy the dual guitar play of Midori/Miyako having their roots in power/thrash metal in 80's.
It is very common for bassist Haraguchi-San and drummer Tamu to cut up and laugh with each other during performances, and they often get guitarist Saki (Babymetal tee shirt), and sometimes even the other guitarist Hazuki caught up in the fun! These are just fun ladies to watch!
Band-Maid and Nemophila are two excellent Japanese all-female rock bands; all their members are so talented. Taking into account the total population in Japan, this is the country that has more female musicians in the world and there are so many all-female rock bands. By the way, I guess that eventually you’re gonna react to Lovebites, an all-female (mostly) power metal Japanese band; they’re mind-blowing, especially live.
Hi, Wave. A few people in the live chat already mentioned that the drummer is Tamu Murata. You might recognize her from the "Roland V-Drum Test" she did with Yoyoka Soma. 😊
I just watched your Band-Maid reaction and now Nemophila. I didn't know about nemophila before so finding this video is great. I enjoy your reactions and how you explain what's happening in the music. So count me as a new subscriber.
Thanks buddy.....ear-opening 😎👍🏻.....yes live music with real instruments 👏👏👏 great video.....I didn’t think 🤔 I would be so into this....but apparently my doppelgänger had other ideas....tight band 👍🏻🥂
They're consummate pros, so yeah they know how to record and mix... and their teamwork is second to none. All have professional experience; this is a supergroup. Lead singer Mayu was formerly with Lipstick. Guitarist Saki (usually toward our right) has an awesome resume that includes all female metal band Destrose (at least a dozen bands have former Destrose members), Cyntia which started as fairly hard rock, Re:Maker, and now is (still) lead guitar of Mary's Blood (check out their MV "Marionette"), also plays in Amahiru, and is currently releasing a solo CD... So including Nemophila, she is in 4 musical bands/projects right now. She is the eldest, the godmother of the group, and knows the most English. Guitarist Hazuki is nearly as busy. Formerly with Disqualia, she is now a guitarist for Rami (first vocalist of Aldious) in live concerts, and Li-sa-X Band, plus Nemophila. Bass player Haraguchi was formerly with Hölderlins. Happy drummer Tamu Murata is in great demand as a session drummer both for recording and live work. Formerly with Soramimi. Was pregnant while playing on several of the vids, took off for awhile to have the baby (boy) and bond, and now she's back. There is a vid on YT of her doing normal stuff at home like having a meal with her big guy and little guy.
Band Maid finally loosening their memetic grip on my soul so I can start looking at other bands (this always happens when I find a new artist that really gets to me). I've been meaning to check out Nemophilia for a while now and this was a lot of fun. I like these intimate studio videos, too, for exactly the reasons you talked about. I also liked the various examples you gave of techniques used in other bands, that was really informative.
You need to react to the same cover performed by Liliac. They are a female fronted family band. The lead singer is awesome, as well as all the band members.
Liliac sounds good, and yes the singer has an interesting voice, but I get the vibe that their parents processed them as some type of experiment - too artificial. All just IMHO.
Nemophila, Band Maid, and Lovebites are in my favorite bands of all time. They are all such talented musicians and songwriters. I grew up on classic rock, metal in eighties, nineties. Nemophila does my favorite covers. This in drummer Marata Tamus studio, practice area. They filmed these covers while they recorded songs for EPS, and in time album. This was when drummer Tamu was pregnant, as is their song Oiran. Hazuki plays ESP, Ibanez guitars. Bassist Haraguchisan, and drummer Tamu are very upbeat, happy, smiling. Try Nemophila song Raitei. As a drummer I suggest their cover of Maximum the Hormone. The. Video is drum cam on YT.
Another good band to watch live is The Warning - here's their new single Choke played live for the very first time ua-cam.com/video/k6BvVx3wvTs/v-deo.html - there's also a killer video but that tends to get blocked on react channels
Veo que eres fans de Yoyoka drummer, yo también, pero ya pásate a las ligas mayores! Está banda Nemophila está en camino de convertirse en la mejor banda de Japan. Son el All Star de las bandas japonesas! i liked your reaction 👍 greetings I suscribe.
I love your Yoyoka reactions, but these band reactions, especially this one and the one you did for LOVEBITES, really give you a broader field to express yourself with greater variety and to comment on much more than just the drums offers. Really interesting, the more comments the better, as far as I'm concerned. I sent your LOVEBITES video to my brother who has been playing guitar as an amateur for more than 40 years, and his comment was "He knows what the f. . . is happening, even the pentatonic minor references were bang on." and "Send more!"
Song and playing quality is great, but I feel recording engineer could help this track to be more attractive. For me, too direct sound, no roomy reverb and equalizing needs to be reconsidered… IMO
They butchered that song, and wayyy too many simps here. I grew up listening to Iron Maiden, and this song is to this day one of my all time favorites. I'm sure this girl band has good songs, but pls stay away from Iron Maiden. I'm sorry but their version of this just flat out sucks. I'm not saying they aren't good, all i am saying is that this song and all it's epicness is best left for the original epic group.
Woh man! Ouch. I spent my teenage years headbanging to the Irons - love their music to death but you couldn't be more wrong about this cover. They play it perfectly, adding one or two of their own touches, and Mayu's voice is wonderful. It is so refreshing to see and hear young people keeping alive good music.
Love the band, can't get with her vocals though, that's a nope from me. As an old Maiden fan from 40 years ago, this cover doesn't really do it justice.
Enjoyed the reaction. I've seen in other comments the info on Saki's "Killer" guitar. I can elaborate a bit. Killer guitars is a signature brand started by Loudness guitarist, Akira Takasaki. LOVEBITES / Holy War [Live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020]
Haraguchi-san is one of the best bassists around, and she is almost always smiling !
Tamu-san is one of the best drummer 👍
Saki Is endorsed by killer guitars, japanese Guitar brand. She even has her signature model with them. (Not the One you see in the video)
Killer is the signature line of Akira Takasaki, founder of Loudness, one of the first metal bands in the world. It is made by ESP. Saki has her own signature model. "Killer" is also a word play--most Japanese would pronounce it "Kira", which sounds like "Akira".

nemophila is awesome, these Girls are awesome !!! Talented and fun !!

Great reaction and picked up a lot of interesting points. This band are amazing and love playing so much by the look of them.
I am happy because you picked up Nemophila which is one of the best female Hard Rock/ Metal bands in Japan.

I can recommended their first original song called "Oiran", which also was performed in their rehearsal room: ua-cam.com/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/v-deo.html
You've heard Band maid and Nemophila. Now you need to check Lovebites with the best dueling guitars (songs Rising, Holy war...live).
That just may be coming very, very soon! 😏
Saki's guitar is a Killer Custom.
It is very common for bassist Haraguchi-San and drummer Tamu to cut up and laugh with each other during performances, and they often get guitarist Saki (Babymetal tee shirt), and sometimes even the other guitarist Hazuki caught up in the fun! These are just fun ladies to watch!
Yeah, welcome to the world of Nemophila. Admittedly, I started watching them because of Tamu Murata, but everyone of them are that kind of good.
Band-Maid and Nemophila are two excellent Japanese all-female rock bands; all their members are so talented. Taking into account the total population in Japan, this is the country that has more female musicians in the world and there are so many all-female rock bands.

Saiki plays Killer Guitars.
Hi, Wave. A few people in the live chat already mentioned that the drummer is Tamu Murata. You might recognize her from the "Roland V-Drum Test" she did with Yoyoka Soma. 😊
The brand name for her guitar is "Killer".
It is a brand launched by Mr. Akira Takasaki of the famous Japanese metal band "LOUDNESS".
I just watched your Band-Maid reaction and now Nemophila. I didn't know about nemophila before so finding this video is great. I enjoy your reactions and how you explain what's happening in the music. So count me as a new subscriber.
Thank you for letting me know!
The guitar you didn't know is Killer Electric Guitar, it is also another Japanese brand.
love her voice.. nemophila is the new beast 🤟🏼
Thanks buddy.....ear-opening 😎👍🏻.....yes live music with real instruments 👏👏👏 great video.....I didn’t think 🤔 I would be so into this....but apparently my doppelgänger had other ideas....tight band 👍🏻🥂
Glad you enjoyed it Robert!
great reaction, next check out LOVEBITES - Holy War.
another great female metal band from Japan

Very cool
yoooooo im a bandmaid fan and nemophila too. Ive been a fan of Tamu murata the drummer for long time and also one of the guitarist Hazuki

If you like guitars harmonies, then you should probably react to any Lovebites song ;)
they are such an awesome band. their new song "dissension" is a step up.
Well you know your stuff dude, thanks for the theory, very informative!
Bro, next songs Dissension, Raitei....uuummmpppp.....

As an old Maiden fan from 40 years ago, this cover doesn't really do it justice.
