I think that ape rock alone would do a whole lot of good for a whole lot of people in today's world
Hell I'm only 56 and I'm not even sure I can do it without putting in a fair bit of work

Dude, absolutely! Still gets me working everytime. Sign of a great foundational exercise, especially with those animalistic intentions. Really appreciate your sharing your experience. Feel free to hit me with any questions / comments as the arise!

A whole new vocabulary for me! "Deep Ape", "Ape Rock", "Cross Body Ape".
Honestly though, this looks very functional and useful. Much better than, say, Tai Chi.
At 65 y.o., I'm going to try this new-fangled animal flow.

You're really coming along with your techniques, instructions, and professionalism. Your physique and mobility with fluidity has greatly improved on what was already a solid foundation. I'm proud of you brother for taking the time to improve yourself and inspire others. You've really inspired me. I even bought that 6' Round Mat for my home fitness area.

Maybe I’m mistaken but I think that animal flow movements can be used as morning warm up after sleep. Yoga/calisthenics/stretching/strengthening and good for posture and imbalances in the body…. You are doing great 👍 I like your videos

Hi man, I just got introduced to Animal Flow with your Videos.
I find it perfect, Its exactly what I've been looking for. A good Combination with Yoga and calisthenics
Thank you for sharing your Experience on these with us.
    Now my question:
I really like the round Mat you use.
Could you please make an affiliate link to it, I can bet I'm not the only one looking for something like this.
Also if you have more items like this, you may just create an affiliate shop with all those items.
Bless you my Man, hope you can make some money from this.
    Want to see you grow.
    Blessings.

I just found your UA-cam channel and I immediately subscribed. I am always looking for more calesthenic / bodyweight / movement exercise channels...THANK YOU!! I only have one request...please do MORE of your workout videos SHIRTLESS...it helps to see the dynamics of your movements and how they put growth stress on specific muscles / muscle groups. And besides, you're one good-looking, sexy dude. Who doesn't wanna see more of that?? Thanks again and keep up the good work. Just curious...what are your long term goals? You wanting to gain more muscle mass, get more defined or just maintain the physique you now have?

    • @smoovmoves
      @smoovmoves  10 місяців тому +1

Hey John! Thanks for the comment and welcome to SMOOV! Appreciate that feedback! More of these tutorials and workouts are on the way.
In terms of long term goals, it's always about building - get stronger and develop skills so i can be a capable, adaptable and durable athlete well into my later decades.
So continue to strengthen my base through calisthenics, bodyweight training and weights. Develop / expand skills - currently focusing on ground movement, dance, basketball, and hacky sack, the focus here does change but the intent of challenging my body and brain with skills remains the same. And all of this requires a solid recovery practice so developing resilience to stress and having ways of off loading stress is a big focus for me.
When I focus on this stuff, the physique stuff takes care of itself. I'm not specifically trying to build more muscle or become more defined, it just has been happening through the intention of "building" in those ways listed above.
I know, long winded answer. I hope I answered your question in there. Happy for any follow up questions. Cheers!
