- In the last couple of months, I've had numerous people reach out confused on how to check their engine codes on their Lexus LS400. I wanted to give a very clear and easy step by step on how to do that, I hope this helps:)

The O/D off isnt for odometer its for overdrive I'm fairly sure

hmm. it definitely should. maybe you don't have the jumper wire pushed in enough to make a connection?

Hello, my car is a 1991 Lexus 400ls. The fuel pump failed and now after it was replaced, the electricity went out from the fuel wires and the electrical wires for the spark plugs. Can you help me if you have any information?
check your fuses to see if any of them are popped
So if the check engine just blinks fast nothing is wrong with it then ?
I believe so. is your check engine light on when your driving?

Hi this is Hattie again I did the code reader but my check engine won't stop flashing what that means you know
is it flashing with no pauses? if it is flashing with no pause it does not detect an engine fault code i believe. did you try to search your symptoms up on google? read some forums on it and you might find your problem
which size are your rims and which tyre sizes you have (thumbnail)?

@@sexus400 all my power windows work intermittently, when one works they all do. usually once I crank it up they’ll work but after a while they all stop, no noise or anything coming from the regulator and I’ve been thru about 3 window switches. I have some issues with my gauge cluster aswell not sure if that’s related but I doubt it.
any ideas ? I thought damaged wires but I chased the harness all the way around
grounding problem somewhere would be my guess. common problem especially for those gauge clusters. usually have to send them in somewhere to get fixed. I wouldn't be surprised if it is a similar problem with the windows but im not sure. these cars are too old to get any other codes or anything like that besides engine and transmission. idek if new cars would tell the problem on stuff like that haha
Hi my name is Hattie I have a 1990 Lexus LS400 RPM goes up and down and my check engine light comes on it wants to cut off but it doesn't have you had this issue with your car .
I havent had that issue. check what your engine code is and do a quick Google search and im sure it'll come up with something 👍🏻

no I never did. car never ran weird so I just left it. I plan on fixing it this winter tho. I think it was a vacuum modulator or something. I cant remember what it was called.

Bro mines 51 idk what it could I’m guessing it’s my ecu I just replaced it…drove around for 2weeks then boom car won’t turn over I wait a whole day…it starts then turns off on its own within 5sec idk what’s causing my ecu to go out haven’t messed with my battery but I am running not cats….idk man
do some research on it. ive heard some stuff with the ECU going out on these things. I dont remember what exactly it is but I think it's actually more common than you'd think
@@sexus400yeah maybe I have bad ground bc my battery gets low…so maybe that’s why my new one went out uk…I just got my ecu….

if it is just continuously blinking I believe there are no fault codes in the system
