The reason I buy aftermarket parts is to save $200. I can get Denso wires and Denso iridium spark plugs for $110. Denso makes wires for Lexus and Toyota.
Thanks! In all honesty I rarely see any LS 400's on the road here. They were very cheap for the longest time so most were beaten to death and then scraped.
OEM plugs and wires are not critical.... There are aftermarket plugs and wires that probably exceed OEM quality for half the price, you just have to know what to buy. Other components like sensors, modules, & engine parts, yes OEM only.
1:02? Really? You don't know why people do that? My wife has a 2006 Honda Accord. Great car, but I want to change the engine/tranny mounts All 6 are $70 aftermarket vs $700 for genuine Honda. I would rather change them twice as often for 10% the price. Now you know why people buy aftermarket parts - often times the age/value of the car does not justify expensive parts that could unnecessarily outlast the life of the car itself. EDIT: 2:24 You're still confused but I just told you! Hehehe... kidding. But, I will add that if I were buying that car (I already have a beautiful 1996 LS400, hence me being here), I would DEFINITELY be glad to know you bought genuine parts to put in my new car. But for SOME of the busted LS400s out there, aftermarket parts is fine.
Aftermarket parts do come like that and sometimes even better than oem. Idk where you got the assumption/negative stigmatism of aftermarket is mediocre lol?

Always loved a big body Lexus! That car is a cream puff!
I agree, by far one of the best sedans ever made.
That car looks to be in amazing shape. We rarely see those where I live. Most have been eaten away by rust.

i have 1999 fuel gauge temperature gauge handbrake n engine light is not showing correctly is it fuse?
I also replaced the wires and plugs but the check engine light wont go.. what to do ?
Scan for codes first and see what the computer is telling you before throwing parts at a car.
I have misfits issues as well. Wores and plugs are new. I am changing distributor caps and rotors. Codes are misfires in cylinders 2, 4, 6, 8
