Thank you for these videos, man! I am able to relive the same trip we took on the Colorado BDR last summer celebrating my 1 yr recovery from spinal fusion surgery! Colorado on a motorcycle is the best feeling in the world! Ride on man!
@@bluedanzigmoto5294 of memory serves, ax41 rear, anake wild front. Now I'm pretty much, 2 track rear, mitas Enduro front of dual venture on the 890. Missions on the gs. D606 and mt21 on the 450.
Awesome man!! Being from the east coast, when my wife and I were dating we hauled out to lake city and explored around the alpine loop and most of these passes in your video on a Polaris 500 sportsman. We liked it so much, just a few years ago we took our daughter back and wheeled our Sammy around out there. Took her to an old gold mine to tour and just had a blast. What a fantastic part of our country. Headed back out that way this summer on the 125 hopefully. Got a buddy in Idaho and we hope to ride out from his place north til we get all we can stand! Great videography and appreciate you letting us ride along!! Subbed up today!!
Heck yeah. Thanks. Couldn't agree more. One of the best parts of anywhere in the world. Already have plans to take my wife back 2 up. Should step up the difficulty level.
East coaster here but have always explored CO and UT with my parents as a teen. Now i'm in my 40's and i'm getting into adventure riding soon and last year I took the family out to CO for a 2 week vaction. We're hooked. Maybe another 2-3 weeks with a side by side or jeep is on the books soon. So much to explore. So little time.
So true. I barely scratch the surface. We have already talked about retiring it there once we have seen the world. Nice thing about the Jeep option on the route is you slow down. And you see more when you slow down.
You've mentioned Itchy Boots a couple times, it's a shame she rushed through Colorado so early because of her wanting to get up to Prudhoe Bay before summer ended...I was watching her in southern Mexico never dreaming at the time she was actually a few miles west of me in a snowstorm between Blackhawk and Nederland (we figured out she has about a 10 week lead on her videos because of that boulder on the highway when she was trying to cross Rocky Mountain Nat. Park), I wished she had taken another season just to explore more of Colorado and Utah, not to mention the rest of the west...She did a great job, nonetheless...
Completely agree, but also understand the Dilemma. I talk about it more in ep:07. It is near impossible to ride everything you want ride. Time, money, weather. It all gets in the way. I look back at this trip and think of the roads I wish I would have explored, but then again, I would have to have skipped all the stuff at the end in Wyoming and northern Colorado. So I feel good about it, because those were great rides as well. Itchy talked about it being more expensive in the USA and also she had the injury that held her up. I understand, but I to wanted her to see more of Colorado and Utah.

Fantastic!
Thanks so much. It was a fantastic day.
Great video! We did California Pass in the rain, wasn't quite as pretty :)
I hope to go back next year and do a similar trip to this - Alpine Loop, Moab, etc
@@JohnnyPowRides I lucked out with the weather this entire trip. I bet that was an interesting climb!
Great video, thanks. I went there summer of 21 solo. Epic to say the least. Can't wait to go back
Same. I'm already planning to move out there.
Awesome scenery at BDR looks Great out there.
You some brass ones doing this trip on your own.
Great job
Thanks. Lots of preparation for going solo. Still probably not the smartest thing to do. Lol
Good stuff man heading out this summer to do the utah and Colorado can’t wait.
That's well worth the trip. If I did it again. I would run black bear and Imogene passes in Colorado and spend a couple days in Moab. Have fun Jacob.
@@localrouteadv I appreciate the advice will take any of it, coming from Cincinnati did Wyoming last year and now I’m hooked.
@@jacobbarhorst6777 its hard not to think about!
Ophir looked tricky for sure
Tricky but worth it. The views coming from the north are so much better imo. Hope you have a great ride.
@@localrouteadv thanks!

Going backwards on BDR, you missed all the suffering going up the hills of Ophir pass & all them loose shale rocks. lol... lucky
And the scenery is better going backwards. Lol seriously it is so much easier going backwards.
