I've self-medicated all my life. Started taking Ginko, Zinc, and Magnesium last Nov. I think it's helping. So I don't understand, should we take copper or not?
Typically, folks get plenty of copper in their diet (and from water because of copper pipes) - Zinc tends to be the low one in the ratio. You could always test your RBC Zinc to make sure - bit.ly/ADHDLabs

I used to take alot of zinc and it lowered my copper and iron. I now take copper in the AM and ZInc at night.
