I have a feeling Konami wanted to make a Legendary Collection box but didn’t for whatever reason and just packed all the cards from it into this year’s tin.
Genuine question, how does it hurt konami to fill the set to the brim with good cards? This reprint set being 90% cant be an accident, they had a purpose for this. Why?
Someone decided on a 400 card set and the designers had to find 400 cards. Most of the reprint equity was taken up by the rarity collections and the upcoming bonanza product
are we supposed to be suprised by this product? this is tcg konami we are talking about. just drop this shitshow of a companie, and move to a difrend tcg not managed by them. pokemon tcg, digimon tcg, one piece tcg, MTG (even that one is better these days), mythril, shadowverse or even disney lorcana. you'll be happy when your money gets well spend. i used to love Yu-Gi-Oh!, but the game became to expensive, and the companie to greedy. 1 good card in a full booster set, 600 card catch-up sets, 1 good archtype in a booster set, with outrages low pull rates, most wanted card in the highest rarety. these are konami tcg practises, i wish i lived in the OCG, same card in 3 rarety's for distrubution, fair rarety cards, catch-up cards in strucktures and catch-up packs at low rarety, for easy pull rate. tcg greed, ocg fair, that is konami. just quite the game, and wait for times to become better to return.

i think the product wouldnt be so bad if they cut a ton of the commons, put like 2 secrets and rarity downgrade a ton of stuff of the super and secret pile. I wanted to get some tearlaments cards with rarity upgrade but the only thing we got was tear kash.
These aren't mega tins. We're 10 years removed from the actually good reprint tins. This is just sad since they have good reprint sets that were well received like rarity collection, and then they even dropped the ball on rarity collection 2. Looks like this is just the norm now
To be honest the Starlight/QCR rarities are becoming annoying to look at. They are supposed to be a deluxe over the top bling bling rarity, but they are being pretty much abused at this point. If so many of these get in the market, the rarity itself just becomes as ugly as the worst variants of Gold Rares.
They feel that way here in the TCG because they’re we’re slowly introduced to us, while in the OCG they got a promo pack with every booster box that came with one QCR out of like 15. They saw they could make a collectors market over here in the TCG so they made them scarce before realizing their products over here would die if they didn’t improve them in some way.
this. It really is like they picked cards that didn't need to be reprinted from the ones thaty chose. it's nice that the mikankos got reprinted, but just like icejade, several cards that actually could have done with the rarity boost just got outright ignored, while other cards are in rarities we already got before. mayowashidori is one of the cards that puts in the most work for mikanko, yet it gets less respect than even reflection rondo.
I like how some cards like junk warrior and scapegoat are in this as they’re iconic cards , I do think they should’ve had an exodia head in this tho as it feels weird having the other pieces , but they should’ve made it a smaller set or had some as promos in the tin
The early release for Duskmourn really did Bloomburrow dirty, we didn't even get one month to actually try out the cards without Wizards just dropping a bunch of shit that powercrept them into oblivion.
My local OTS has opened 4 cases of tins, and got 2 S:Ps, 2 Wanted, 1 thrust, and ZERO DIABELLSTARS. That's 154 packs. This tin is beyond disappointing.
Out of a case I pulled 2 Sp 1 Blue Eyes 1 Alt Art Red Eyes 3 Red Gadget 1 Green Gadget 4 Icejade Ran Yeah I got lucky with the SPs but for Christs sake there should be 0 reason that I pull so much 💩
It really blows my mind that Konami won't just do what WotC does and print the alt art of the card in the set that the original releases in. They should be doing alt arts on the regular. And before I hear people say "they have set rotation, the reason they print multiple copies is because they won't ever be able to use it again once the set rotates and blah blah blah", standard isn't even their most popular format. To my knowledge, that goes to Commander, Modern and Pioneer (which from what i understand is weenie hut jr Modern). Like, from a financial incentive, that's one of the "good will" things that Wizards does in their set design philosophy. (That and they guarantee that every pack has a rare or mythic. There's a lot less bloat in Magic sets.) Not to mention its just nice in the way of player expression. Its cool that I had two different arts of Nahiri, Heir of the Ancients to choose from when building my Oathbreaker deck back when i was trying to give Magic a fair shake before I jumped into Yugioh for the first time.
Commander is currently the most popular format. As commander players we can not only play our pet decks forever, but build new decks constantly just because we can and there are infinite deckbuilding possibilities. We love blinging out and customizing our decks too, and alt arts/alters/bling copies/etc. are always in demand of popular cards. Sol Ring for instance is printed in every single commander preconstructed deck, yet it's bling copies are numerous, and often valuable and highly desirable. While Magic does often give alt arts to many cards in the initial set they're printed in, the more popular cards get even more alt arts with time in reprint sets, as well as promos and Secret Lairs (direct to consumer online promos).
Because that's literally impossible. The alt art cards come out years later so how would they be able to put them in the initial set release if said alt art didn't even exist
I pre ordered two cases, have not even arrived yet... when some of the reprints were announced, looking forward to opening packs and getting cards that I was to cheap to buy since I dont really need them. Also they said Power of the Elements will be included - so maybe high rarity Tear prints? Nope again no tear reprints for years now, only the 2 from Photon Hypernova, Tear Kash as a secret is good sure, but Perlegia?? there is a reason you reading this doesnt even know that card. Its just so sad, increased card pool to lower the chances to pull cards, only 1 secret per pack to make it even harder, and then cucking me of my Tears... Just underlines the big issue with the product, and why there is next to no store in my and the surrounding cities that has yugioh cards... in comparison to 10 years ago where we had multiple ones.
yeah when i read the sets that would be included i wanted some tear rarity upgrades, i understand the wouldnt reprint perlerino again, but they could reprint the main deck girls, rulkalos and kaleido heart.
@@gilreygu98 Yeah I was so ready for a QCR Kaleido... but nope, all* of POTE has been reprinted now, some cards even multiple times - but not the tear cards .-.
They could have literally avoided all of the problems by making 2 tins instead of 1. Now we have a higher chance of actually getting what we want and they can satisfy their greediness by producing an extra product for which we will iventably spend money on
I gave up on konami, started to Play the one piece TCG about a year ago. Its so fun and very good designed. There are like 2 secret rares in a Set, but they are rarely so strong, that they are staple worthy. The Rest of the cards, that could Take the spot are Alternative artworks of superrares and Secret rares. If you want a playset of a superrare you pay 4 to 20€ depending on the meta relevancy. If there is a staple secret rare you can get a playset for about 80€. If you compare that to Yu-Gi-Oh, where a single s:p little knight costed 105€ on Release it is just sad, that konami chooses this way of printing necessary cards for every Deck and gatekeeps them behind high rarity. In one piece you can get a Meta Deck for around 60€ - 120€. Im just looking at Yu-Gi-Oh content, to hope that there will be a healthy and fun Meta format. I list hope by now. Come to One Piece my Friends Edit: the one piece TCG soon gets a Reprint set, where alot of Meta relevant cards get reprinted. The one piece TCG is about to get very Budget in the next few Sets, so it is the best Time to start.

The only thing I wanted from the tins were 1st movement solo qcr. Bought the singles, can save for a little knight later. Just wish some pendulum magicians got some love from the tins or zarc and his agov support.
Seeing that pretty fantastic Creator Packs in the Asian English version of the game just makes dogshit products like these tins sting so much more, because Konami could make fantastic products for us, but are actively choosing to fuck us as hard as possible. Also, if it takes on average, 8 cases, in order to pull a playset of any card in the secret rare slot, that means it costs about $4000 AUD to pull a playset of bonfire... Yeah, fuck that, just buy singles people, this garbage isnt worth spending a cent on
Every chase card is Secret, making each tin like 2% chance that you get what you want. Half the cards are reprinted in the same rarity. They should have made chase cards Ultra or at least a mix of Secret and Ultra. The card count could and should have been cut in half. The common cards are actually good; it's just that the YGO community is dumb and illiterate, so none of them know which ones have value unless a pro player does all the work for them. Either way, a lot of those common bulk should not have been in an Ultra slot. I'm very tired of Konami milking this 25th anniversary thing. They're running out of cards to put in that QCR rarity, and we still have one more set with this crap. I feel like this rarity in general has become a joke just because of the quantity of cards that were given QCR status. No promo cards, tokens and TCG exclusives should have been guaranteed promos. The tins are obviously garbage, so the real question is, why did Konami make them garbage? I'm thinking that due to the lack of viable cards to reprint for that 3rd rarity collection set, they decided to artificially lower the odds of the good cards to then put them into that next rarity set. Given how a×× this sets QCR were, I'm completely at a loss as to what they are putting in the next rarity set. So the only thing I can think of is the cards that should have been available in this tin. Running with the conspiracy theory, perhaps konami is trying to tank the physical game market to swap over to digital. Or at least remove the TCG in favor of digital TCG. But I doubt it, as Master Duel, while very profitable, is also suffering.
The whole idea behind this game, not letting the opponent play, and making the cards that lock the opponent down the expensive ones is what is making it fail
Magic player here. I noticed you said "finally getting alt arts." Were these not a thing before? If so, then I suspect this is underpowered on purpose. They want to see if the alt arts are going to sell the product on their iwn.

I'll cut the shark drake reprint a little slack considering we just got shark support that actually does play it, it makes more sense than the gadgets and fuckin wannabee! Anyways I honestly can't even call this the worst product because Rarity Collection II was honestly still probably worse.
Backwards logic, make rates shit and inflate ratios to increase sales because people have to buy more, instead of making fair ratios, don't inflate Set and make people want to buy more.
There is good reprint is a fact ... 90% of the tins being just still a bit expensive secrete rare only or random common pack filler is also a fact, with AGAIN no promos I don't say all tin box reprint MUST be meta relevent .... but this time it's just too many bad cards without any additional promo cards, and even for archetypes like generaider ... reprint a LV9 common but not the LV4 that cost an arm, or N°15 but not cisor arm for gimmick puppet ... the secret pool being so bloated guarantees that stores are getting rammed hard from this product.
More is not always better. Trees and precious metals are getting turned into scrap and trash...
Its so sad to go from how godly stuff like the Hanzo tin were back in the day to this
As an MD player who has a genuine interest in finding a good entry point to go to the locals that i know exist in the exact same city i live in, i've been waiting for a while.
I have a feeling Konami wanted to make a Legendary Collection box but didn’t for whatever reason and just packed all the cards from it into this year’s tin.
Odd this isnt the yugioh power boxes found in walmart
1 good card in a full booster set, 600 card catch-up sets, 1 good archtype in a booster set, with outrages low pull rates, most wanted card in the highest rarety.
these are konami tcg practises, i wish i lived in the OCG, same card in 3 rarety's for distrubution, fair rarety cards, catch-up cards in strucktures and catch-up packs at low rarety, for easy pull rate.
tcg greed, ocg fair, that is konami.
just quite the game, and wait for times to become better to return.
lol play diff game if u just want money
It's a Japanese company, what did you expect? This is exactly in line with Sony and Nintendo and every other Japanese country, the culture is to be as greedy and scummy as possible, especially to foreign consumers
@@lifedeather how the sets are put together does affect the 2ndary market.
more "want to have" cards, means more ways to pay back the set, and make a proffit.
wich lowers the price of the cards fo the ones who play the game.
i don't sell my cards, i use them and trade them for cards i want.
for the 2ndary market, i am a buyer only, not a seller.
catch-up sets, are meant for the buget player to catch-up to the wales.
so this set is direcly affeting me.
i hope you now know why i feel betrayed, as i realy wanted cheap bonfire, wanted:, diabellstar, S:P.
just to catch up to the with the meta.
and this set not even has 1% want to have cards in them
i'm not playing a difrend game, cause i want money.
i play a difrend game, cause i want a more even battlefield.
i can now buy a tier 1 meta deck on release, or in just 2 months, depending on how many high rarety cards i would need.
insted of waiting 2 years just to buy and compleet a tier 1 meta deck.
poorly put together sets, affacts both players and sellers.
keep that in mind.
i think the product wouldnt be so bad if they cut a ton of the commons, put like 2 secrets and rarity downgrade a ton of stuff of the super and secret pile. I wanted to get some tearlaments cards with rarity upgrade but the only thing we got was tear kash.
This is why mtg players have had the mentality of always buy singles for decades
aegirine has literally been printed in secret variants like 4 times now
even as an icejade player, i just want them to stop at this point. we REALLY didn't need this many reprints.
These aren't mega tins. We're 10 years removed from the actually good reprint tins. This is just sad since they have good reprint sets that were well received like rarity collection, and then they even dropped the ball on rarity collection 2. Looks like this is just the norm now
Don't worry, they still have the bonanza shit coming. It can and will get worse.
We're 5 out. 2019 was the best tin ever made. It's been downhill since
Are we just going to ignore that even some of the commons were printed IN LAST YEAR'S TIN
Stuff like this is why I love well made proxies. Been using an SP I paid 5 bucks for and so far no one has noticed. Proxy is Preservation 😊
If no one is noticing, then that's a counterfeit, not a proxy. If no one cares, than that's a completely different story.
Average fumo enjoyer mindset lol
Ayo, did you make it yourself?
@@justinfournier2521 nop! A friend did, they have an etsy shop!
If you buy yugioh product you are part of the problem
I knew this type thing was going to happen since Rarity Collection 1. AGOV was too good to be true.
Love how they reprint superheavy cards and mannadium when the decks are dead and no one plays them anymore
Would have been cool if Mannadium got a in archetype omni or atleast something to replace Barron
Baronne, Savage and Apo died for Snake eyes sins...
I was excited for the mikanko rarity bumps then I realized they reprinted mayowashidori as a common… for what reason
So many people bought them knowing I'll be bad. Konami will definitely try this again
Bought the tin for the og cards, got none of the cards from the og, which was like, why did I even get this.
The early release for Duskmourn really did Bloomburrow dirty, we didn't even get one month to actually try out the cards without Wizards just dropping a bunch of shit that powercrept them into oblivion.
I think the scape goats are legit. There is a whole format named after them and it is one of a few quarters that didn't crush my collection
My local OTS has opened 4 cases of tins, and got 2 S:Ps, 2 Wanted, 1 thrust, and ZERO DIABELLSTARS. That's 154 packs. This tin is beyond disappointing.
I got a QCR blue eyes on my 2nd tin. Is that good? 🤔
I bought 2 of these at an anime expo last Saturday and got QCR dark magician girl and blue eyes white dragon so I made my money back from the packs.
*second worst*
Ghosts from the past was equally bad, if not worse. At least with the tins, you get a nice box.
Out of a case I pulled
2 Sp
1 Blue Eyes
1 Alt Art Red Eyes
3 Red Gadget
1 Green Gadget
4 Icejade Ran
Yeah I got lucky with the SPs but for Christs sake there should be 0 reason that I pull so much 💩
I'm sooooooo mad about the pace of MTG releases! There is NO TIME between releases!
There's a lot less bloat in Magic sets.)
Not to mention its just nice in the way of player expression.
@@itsfort2098 MtG has alt arts both in the initial set and in future reprints.
@@itsfort2098 Its really not impossible, Konami is just fucking lazy
Now we have a higher chance of actually getting what we want and they can satisfy their greediness by producing an extra product for which we will iventably spend money on
Bro that 25th blue eyes looks nice
I wanted transaction rollback, before the tins it was $24 a piece, thanks to the tins I got a set for $24.
Buying singles is great!
Come to One Piece my Friends
Edit: the one piece TCG soon gets a Reprint set, where alot of Meta relevant cards get reprinted. The one piece TCG is about to get very Budget in the next few Sets, so it is the best Time to start.
Konami TCG is so out of touch, why they just do what the OCG does?
Because the TCG ARE SUCKERS AND WILL CONTINUE TO BUY KOMONEY PRODUCTS
just wait for November quarter century bonanza.
Tbf scapegoat can bridge to the fiendsmith engine without normal summon so
As a day one....I'm talking playing since LOB/MRD days....this set blows. like it is just a total subversion of expectations. I just bought some singles and called it a day. Get ready to see this shit in clearance with last year's tin too
Well the tins this year was to honor all the years of Yugioh, not just this year. So of course they made it bigger.
Why were you banned
I love this tin because it made all the singles i want cheaper.
I'm still surprised that they finally put power of the elements cards in the tins congratulation konomi
Why are you banned from YGO? Legit curious, new viewer
Yeah, fuck that, just buy singles people, this garbage isnt worth spending a cent on
Still better than magic 30, 4 packs of 15 cards fir $1000 that weren't tournament legal
we are never gunna see the dragonmaid alt arts...
I managed to get it for ten bucks and got the damned Scape Goat lmao. Red Eyes alternate art is sick though
Original is still better though
The last set I actually brought was agov Konami just doesn't care about the tcg so I just stopped buying cards
But are they tournament legal?
Magic player here. I noticed you said "finally getting alt arts." Were these not a thing before? If so, then I suspect this is underpowered on purpose. They want to see if the alt arts are going to sell the product on their iwn.
No, Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't do alt arts as a normal/semi-normal thing, so your probably not too far off
NGL a lot of these cards will appreciate well. Sucks to open but, bangers for a buy/reseller.
I wish proxies were a thing in YuGiOh
I love Gem Knights, but why triple dipping those cards? They already were on the last year mega tin
You tell'em stevie
How many years y’all guna cry they don’t give 2 fks about y’all opinions. I understand your suffering, but idk how to help you guys the company doesn’t like u
Still buying this but just for fun😅 waiting on crossover breakers with that malice cyberse support 👍
I'll cut the shark drake reprint a little slack considering we just got shark support that actually does play it, it makes more sense than the gadgets and fuckin wannabee! Anyways I honestly can't even call this the worst product because Rarity Collection II was honestly still probably worse.
These tins are so 🤮 🐎
It almost looks like they make some sets shit on purpose just to fuck with sellers
Backwards logic, make rates shit and inflate ratios to increase sales because people have to buy more, instead of making fair ratios, don't inflate Set and make people want to buy more.
Saw these at my local LGS and I want to support them but damn this product sucks - I would literally buy a case of Age of Overlord instead
You can still support your store by spending the money you would have spent on the tins on other products.
2014 tins were peak. It only went downhill from there
2019 with nib, dark ruler, was amazing
The Norden tin was good..
Still less of a scam than the mtg 30th anniversary bundle
There is good reprint is a fact ... 90% of the tins being just still a bit expensive secrete rare only or random common pack filler is also a fact, with AGAIN no promos
I don't say all tin box reprint MUST be meta relevent .... but this time it's just too many bad cards without any additional promo cards,
and even for archetypes like generaider ... reprint a LV9 common but not the LV4 that cost an arm, or N°15 but not cisor arm for gimmick puppet ... WHY ?
