"Through the rain in the fire, I have finally FOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUND YOUUUUUUUUU!" Eric is a hell of a singer. That's probably the single most powerful part of this incredibly powerful song. Chills.
It's hard to put my finger on just how special and powerfully anointed this music is. This is the most uplifting, powerful and perfect piece of music I have ever heard.
I listen to this song regularly and I always enjoy rediscovering how spot on your comment is! This is a truly fantastic piece of music that I cannot get tired of.
Agree bro. This album is from start to finish, something special that only happens once in a lifetime for an artist. And this time, Neal Morse is that artist.
Shivers... goosebumps, everything. Simply the most wonderful ending of an album that I have ever heard. Perfect finale for one the better albums that exists. Thanks Neal Morse.
I have been tormented And I have been deceived I have known depression A thousand nights I couldn't sleep Facing all my enemies I was paralyzed with fear But following a question And I'm not really clear But it led me here... Where I have seen and I have known By setting down the road called home The journey is to be with you For I have seen the broken sky turn blue The broken sky turn blue Why go through the trouble? Why not just disappear? Why all of these questions? Why doesn't God just make it clear? The rain becomes a river The stream becomes a lake Keep following the whisper No matter what it takes 'til you reach the gate Where I have seen and I have known By setting down the road called home The journey is to be with you Your love has made the broken sky turn blue The broken sky turn blue There's a song in the night There's a city of light There's a universe yet to be known There's an opening door There's so very much more As together we seek to come home Yeah I have seen and I have known By setting down the road called home And journeys end, I am with you For I have seen the broken sky turn blue Now I belong to you I belong to you And it's been a long day now Down this road I have traveled And it's been a dark night And I've been searching so long Through the rain in the fire I have finally found you And It's been a long day now But this son's coming home This son's coming home This son's coming home To be the completed man To love and to understand To change everything I can It now makes sense to me To be who I could not be To love you so easily With your life inside of me Let the great adventure now begin...
Think of it as not wasting your life. Maybe you didn't focus on just one thing. But all that you learned and experienced did bring you here. You just took a different road to get to where you are. Be proud of that. You learned things others will never know. They were all too busy focusing on just one thing.
This is the Neal Morse Sgt Peppers or Dark Side of the Moon. Epic. If the music world could get their arms around his music they would see what a genius, anointed and gifted artist he is. Similitude never gets old and I hear something new and special with each listen.
This is really a perfect ending to a perfect album. One of the best songs I've ever heard. So much emotion, so much talent. And Mike Portnoy on drums! What more can you ask for?
I love this. Even given I only discovered "Snow" existed 4 monthes ago, this has become my favourite Prog Album ever. Go get it. One of the most perfection personified purchasing actions in my limited existence amongst this Earth. Even if the accompanying DVD didn't seem to address Eric Gillet's presence and addition to this Rock Classic, it is still a wonderful acoustic wonderment. THIS IS IT! said the sticker on the case. They are not wrong :)
This song is so powerful and in my opinion really a Neal Morse kind of song. The part beginning at 0:35 reminds of a combination of the song "All is vanity" from the Snow album and the Questionmark album.
As hard as it is to admit, you're right. John really hasn't done very much good writing since Scenes from a Memory. Eric on the other hand, keeps getting better...and he can SING with an incredible voice. I see why Portnoy left Dream Theater to play with Morse.
Neil Morse quit "Spock's Beard" and assembled a group that sound the same way. Where did he found that kid who's singing sounds like S.Beard and a guitar that sounds like Dream Theater?
To a fault, I typically overanalyze song structure. Neal's stuff, though. Man, I have teared up more for his stuff than every other composer combined. Cut it out, Neal!
Saw the band in Mesa, AZ, Sunday last, and start to finish It was simply the most astonishing musical performance I have ever experienced. I'm 60, and I've seen every great group you can imagine at some point during the last 45 years. The level of musicianship meets or exceeds that of any of the band's predecessors, from ANY era. But, perhaps most importantly, the music is actually ABOUT something. The Similitude album is amazing: If it had been released in the '70s, it would have been right up there with "Tommy," "Dark Side of the Moon," and---yes--even "Jesus Christ Superstar." I was hoping the live performance would at least come close to the perfection Neal and the rest of the band achieved in the studio, but that night they EXCEEDED it in every way. Special kudos to Eric Gillette, who is truly among the finest two or three guitarists I have ever seen. Don't pass up a chance to see this band. They have EARNED our enthusiastic support!
You can tell Neal morse didnt want to end the last song of the album without having people listen to his voice, Eric Gillete's voice was PERFECT for this ending, I feel the song should had just ended at 8:50, I rant about this because Portnoy actually talked about the band wanting to end it like that, but that it was Neal's band and his desicion, cocky neal.
Well Lykian, if this is just secondary then I can't wait until Morse takes music more serious. With all the comments I've read, I think it just may be your opinion that is very secondary creativity. I heard a building upon his earlier works. But most composers do that. And if you take Frank Zappa's approach to writing music, he claims it's just part of the same song. The Universe is one note. The Ocean is the final solution.
Neal, PLEASE stop with the overtly religious stuff. It is fine to have a Christian rock career but PLEASE stop it in your mainstream stuff. You ruined the last transatlantic album with it...
First, I don't find it overtly religious. There can be found different meanings. Don't let religion get in the way of a good song. (maybe if you would just listen. You certainly aren't hearing.)
If Neal was going to "stop with the overtly religious stuff," he should have started by NOT having the band do a concept album based on the classic tomb "The Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan. Jeez! As Ian Anderson might say, Neal's God is not "the kind you have to wind up on Sundays."
"Through the rain in the fire, I have finally FOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUND YOUUUUUUUUU!"
Eric is a hell of a singer. That's probably the single most powerful part of this incredibly powerful song. Chills.
Su voz es increíble...un ángel...y la guitarra....por diossss...ese tema me riza los pelo cada vez...super neal...supe Mike ... super todosss❤🤘🤘😎🔝🔝🔝
This song is a masterpiece❤

Moi également je l'écoute au moins 1 fois par jour et celà me donne la pêche pour partir au travail.
Not just me who thinks this then!
I think this might be one of the best albums ever made. it's a masterpiece. great job Neal Morse.
Agree bro. This album is from start to finish, something special that only happens once in a lifetime for an artist. And this time, Neal Morse is that artist.

Serfo agree bro. what an anointed piece of music.
Haken i see there, nice pic ;)
absolutely agree brother. a masterpiece
This could be my favorite song of all time.
same here
One of the best album endings I've ever heard.
Facts
it warms my heart to read these comments. they speak the feelings I've had for quite a while listening to Neal's music
I have been tormented
And I have been deceived
I have known depression
A thousand nights I couldn't sleep
Facing all my enemies
I was paralyzed with fear
But following a question
And I'm not really clear
But it led me here...
Where I have seen and I have known
By setting down the road called home
The journey is to be with you
For I have seen the broken sky turn blue
The broken sky turn blue
Why go through the trouble?
Why not just disappear?
Why all of these questions?
Why doesn't God just make it clear?
The rain becomes a river
The stream becomes a lake
Keep following the whisper
No matter what it takes
'til you reach the gate
Where I have seen and I have known
By setting down the road called home
The journey is to be with you
Your love has made the broken sky turn blue
The broken sky turn blue
There's a song in the night
There's a city of light
There's a universe yet to be known
There's an opening door
There's so very much more
As together we seek to come home
Yeah I have seen and I have known
By setting down the road called home
And journeys end, I am with you
For I have seen the broken sky turn blue
Now I belong to you
I belong to you
And it's been a long day now
Down this road I have traveled
And it's been a dark night
And I've been searching so long
Through the rain in the fire
I have finally found you
And It's been a long day now
But this son's coming home
This son's coming home
This son's coming home
To be the completed man
To love and to understand
To change everything I can
It now makes sense to me
To be who I could not be
To love you so easily
With your life inside of me
Let the great adventure now begin...
I am tormented by this music. It makes me realize how I have wasted so much of my life. Regardless, it's like water for an incredible thirst.
Amen bro.
Think of it as not wasting your life. Maybe you didn't focus on just one thing. But all that you learned and experienced did bring you here. You just took a different road to get to where you are. Be proud of that. You learned things others will never know. They were all too busy focusing on just one thing.
Actually, that's what the whole album is about: "The Pilgrim's Progress." The new album, "The Great Adventure," completes the journey.
Forward we go, on the road called Home....
Wonderful song, beautiful when me and my friend Carl saw them live in london. I think this might be one of the best songs ever made.
I find it amazing that as good as Neal Morse is, he keeps getting better.
My God.. when those strings come in at the 6 minute mark..
Perfect prog...

A masterpiece! One of the best prog albums ever made.
"let the great adventure now begin"
The Great Adventure is coming so soon! I can't wait.
Another awesome album. Highly recommend!👍

Happy 62nd Birthday, Neal Morse!
Perfection is rarely attained... Luckily on this occasion perfection has been surpassed. The best and most beautiful Album I have ever heard!☺💘🎧👍
This is really a perfect ending to a perfect album. One of the best songs I've ever heard. So much emotion, so much talent. And Mike Portnoy on drums! What more can you ask for?
Oh yes ❤
It might be one of the best song of all time .
Musicianship at it's best
Absolutely EXCELLENT........
Eric Gillette is a hell of a musician. Everything about his playing is amazing

It's been a long day and I cry for this masterpiece, the most incredible song in all my life!! ❤
Me too, man. Me too.
Me too ❤
Simply a masterpiece album and songThe majestic final touches the heart.
Indeed, an epic finale of an extraordinary album...
Morse knows how to write a great song,
Gillette knows how to sing (and play) it great.
Portnoy allways knows how to play drums infernaly great!!!
Wow, that is just...
perfect!
I prefer this over the overture. It feels more empowering and there's a sense of completion. Perfect as a closing track.
Absoluty melodic and powerfull ,a masterpeace
This was so epic live.... Like a celebration!
perfect...and promptly ordered the CD!
eric is perfect
A mix of Yes and Genesis is an awesome combination. Great album!👍
The best Neal's song
Brilliance no other word.
best song ever
This song is so powerful and in my opinion really a Neal Morse kind of song. The part beginning at 0:35 reminds of a combination of the song "All is vanity" from the Snow album and the Questionmark album.

neal lo hizo de nuevo.
Very very good, fantastic on 3 Vinyl de luxe album
hermoso...
Eric has the balls that John Petrucci used to have.
As hard as it is to admit, you're right. John really hasn't done very much good writing since Scenes from a Memory. Eric on the other hand, keeps getting better...and he can SING with an incredible voice. I see why Portnoy left Dream Theater to play with Morse.
So now we officially have progressive gospel?
A real concept album
Neal Morse has been all about "Progressive Gospel" since "Testimony" (2003).
"One" was the one that absolutely laid me out, and it's been a Heavenly Banquet ever since.
Neil Morse quit "Spock's Beard" and assembled a group that sound the same way.
Where did he found that kid who's singing sounds like S.Beard and a guitar that sounds like Dream Theater?
That is Eric Gillette! A very epic singer, drummer, keyboardist and guitarist!
To a fault, I typically overanalyze song structure. Neal's stuff, though. Man, I have teared up more for his stuff than every other composer combined. Cut it out, Neal!
wow. that is all
À Nice Master pièce of Music.

Best concert I've ever seen (twice) and I have been to hundreds of concerts in my life.
Make that 4 times. Still the best. Ever.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
@7:39 COME ON!
Sharpy William I agree, Neal is as cocky as they come. It especially comes across in his interviews; never seen a guy so full of himself.
with good reason
I have met him. He is as humble as they come in spite of his immense talent.
Neal's little coda will make more sense to you when you hear "The Great Adventure" album begin.
disagree, the ending with Neal set a sequel up perfectly, which obviously ended up happening
:):):):):):):)
Nombre no.... chingón cabrones.. 🇲🇽
Neal did nothing here - the whole album consists of pieces of his earlier works. VERY secondary creativity.
Luckily your opinion is so far in the minority. Not sure what album you listened to but this one is classic.
Yeah, get your ears checked. This album is great!👍
Yeah, no musician does that right? Lol
Neal, PLEASE stop with the overtly religious stuff. It is fine to have a Christian rock career but PLEASE stop it in your mainstream stuff. You ruined the last transatlantic album with it...
Steve P an artist pours out everything in its art, even his beliefs.
First, I don't find it overtly religious. There can be found different meanings. Don't let religion get in the way of a good song. (maybe if you would just listen. You certainly aren't hearing.)
Steve P this is far from overtly religious. Yes it's spiritual but certainly not preaching religion. Not to mention it's based on a novel.
