I have been an avid prog rock fan for most of mylife (Rush, Genesis, Yes, Maestro Wakeman), and I love the LORD Jesus with sincerity, too, so Neal Morse and his band are a marriage made in heaven! A bit of glory-prog-rock here in the wilderness. Thanks!!
Jesus, the Savior of the world. He loves us all so much He gave His life to pay our debt of sin so that we can be saved and have eternal life. Thank you Jesus. What a wonderful show @The Neal Morse Band!
Agreed. he was absolutely killing it vocally, not to mention his guitar!!!! Soaring is word i kept using to describe this song. Soaring lyrics, Soaring Vocals, Soaring Guitar and Soaring music generally. Loved how into it the the crowd looked at that time also!!! I need to get to a Neal Morse show.
Every time I watch this I fall in love with it! What an astounding message of hope ! Its not to late, not to far gone, the King loves you, with all His heart!
Just amazing and I'm watching it on a 6" screen i can't even imagine how unbelievable to be at a live concert of these magnificent musicians and unbelievable harmonies
It's astonishing to me that this band (and Neal Morse's work more generally) remains relatively unknown in the 'progiverse', certainly on the eastern side of the Atlantic. This band is easily as good if not better than any better known prog rock act you'd care to mention; from recent years or yesteryear.
I think you could be right. I've known about Neal Morse for a long time but that has always been the reason why I hesitated in checking out his music more. My mistake. He's simply amazing.
There is no reason at all why this should not be way larger in the music world. Simply some of the greatest music that I have heard in many many years.
What a incredible show! 1:13 to 1:20 amazing drums and incredible great band! Eric Gillette must never leave the band. I hope all of the member stay's.
This is an extremely outstanding achievement of these musicians (part 1 and 2 is one gig!). And so they have been touring throughout nine continents in the year 2017. And every time full performance in front of thousands of people! Everyone in the band deserves the highest respect from us spectators! This is top class in performance, quality, art and power!!!
If you look at the concert several times it falls on, how extremely good the interaction of all the musicians in this group is. That's perfection! It's really fun to watch and hear. Incredibly. It is noticeable that Neal created the composition, but all the band members brought in their parts.
I am somewhat of a newcomer to Neal Morse. My first album was The Grand Experiment. After that I listened to anything and everything he's ever done. Then came The Similitude of a Dream. The only way I can relate what this one means to me is that it is the album I've been waiting for my whole life. I'm 58, and at this age I thought maybe Rush Hemispheres or DT Black Clouds and Silver Linings were gonna be it, both of which I love and thought just might the pinnacle of what I live for in music. Then came Neal Morse and The Similitude of a Dream. My long search is over. No matter what the guys crank out next and how much I know I'll love it, Similitude will forever be what I feel is the best that Prog, or any music, will ever be. This is probably a TLDR, but it's off my chest now ☺
Magical. Eric Gillette handled the solo from Momentum with mastery. Not everyone can take off Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci though it has be said he has a unique voice that comes through his playing on this album. What an incredible band of musicians. So enjoyed seeing them in Glasgow. I hope they return to Scotland at some time in the future.
In 1971 I got into two groups. They have remained my favorites for all these years. They were the A and Z. I always thought there should be a third. I would kid around and select the initial in the middle. A M Z . Then about 15 years ago I realized who the M was. This is truly a great composer and band. The A is Ian Anderson and the Z, well most of you know who it is. My best 3 bands.
I can't believe I haven't heard these guys before...WOW! It just showed up on my page and I checked them out because of Portnoy. I hear Dream Theater/Styx/Kansas.
I have been listening to this show over and over again, cant help it! Bunch of amazing musicians! And they all sing great!!! Much better than the lead singer in D@#$& T&@$&!? 🤯🤘🏼👊🏼
Along with part 1- a, masterpiece of s performance. \i'm treating myself to part1,2 amd TGA tonight. So glad to have seen you guys and Flying Colors and met you all. A highlight of my life. You've even made me (try my best to) read Pilgrim's Progress, but its a hard read for so thank you for this music.
je ne les connaissais pas sauf Portnoy de dream theater wow je dit comme toi FANTASTIQUE y as du talent la dedans , un bon mélange de tout ce que j'aime
Great musicians, precision is their last name, the problem with Morse is that most of his harmonies feel as if I have heard them before by older Prog Rock Brit bands.
Does anybody know the riff at 53:53 - 54:23 from a MP ear Dream Theater song? It sounds so familiar to me from one of their songs but I can't place it. Any ideas?

What a wonderful show @The Neal Morse Band!
Amen my Brother!
51:27 to 55:41 is the most epic moment I've ever heard
Chavi Monca I agree
Yup. That was pure pwnage by Eric GIlette.
Agreed. he was absolutely killing it vocally, not to mention his guitar!!!! Soaring is word i kept using to describe this song. Soaring lyrics, Soaring Vocals, Soaring Guitar and Soaring music generally. Loved how into it the the crowd looked at that time also!!! I need to get to a Neal Morse show.
Lucky I,ve seen it rwice live..defiitively the mot epic final song I,ve ecer heard

This was far more "astonishing" than The Astonishing!
I think its because of the Christian lyrics. If he had mainstream lyrics in his music he would be much more recognized.
@@Yavwill not completely sure on this , look how little prog. gets played on U.S. radio. I am a prog. heads. & I american
I think you could be right. I've known about Neal Morse for a long time but that has always been the reason why I hesitated in checking out his music more. My mistake. He's simply amazing.
@@Yavwill For me the band is even better with Christian lyrics!
There is no reason at all why this should not be way larger in the music world. Simply some of the greatest music that I have heard in many many years.
Big shoutout to Bill Hubauer. What a voice!
and that piano solo!
Love his sax playing too :))
What a incredible show!

there's only 7 continents, and i'm pretty sure they didn't play Antarctica :) but i know what you mean! An amazing performance of amazing music!
That's absolutly true (on all aspects)!
Yes, there must have been too much dark energy. (-:
The broken sky turn blue 😍😍😍😍
they´re absolutely A M A Z I N G, and this album is an excelent masterpiece. best musicians ever whit a powerfull message. I love it!! God Blessing
Amen, you said it!
These guys are SO freaking brilliant! Superstars...😍😍
Neal Morse & Arjen Anthony Lucassen are the Mozart & Beethoven of rock n roll
quite simply a monumental album, with the greatest ending to an album I have ever heard. has me in tears every damn time!!
GRANDE CONCERTO....GRANDISSIMI MUSICISTI...... GRAZIE CIAO
You can't simple not define how freaking amazing this band is. "I have seen the broken sky, turns blue"
This is fabulous.hope Neal will work again with other genius ..roine stolt .and those guys .really killer !
@@siloagrain2176Yes. Stolt and Gillette are two very underrated musicians.

Thank you for taking me on a musical adventure with a message
Best of the best ..fantastic👍👍👍
The best show I saw on 2017.

One of the greatest albums of all time and a timeless message!!!!
best concert I've ever seen!!! I LOVE THEM!
Prog Rock vom Feinsten! Habe ich auch live gesehen! Great!!!
The second part is even better than first. Feel lucky to have discovered them.

the best album since the wall, to me.
Thank you for uploading this concert in flawless sound quality

What blows me away is that they sound better live.
Marty Shwaartz dubbing occurs in these productions. That said. Who cares!! Right!!!!!!
340 years later, and Pilgrim’s Progress is still speaking to us, here in the form of a fantastic prog performance.
This is magnificent! Gives me chills and bring me tears to my eyes
Huuuuuuuge ! Thanx for this video !
Really is some incredible musicianship going on here!
again a BIG BIG Thanks to you bro...God Bless!!
fantastic!
I can't believe I haven't heard these guys before...WOW! It just showed up on my page and I checked them out because of Portnoy. I hear Dream Theater/Styx/Kansas.
Nothing compares to this. Eric's talent is not normal, he just blows my mind.
Thanks bro...God Bless..
God bless you all
Vraiment planant par instant et très rock mais toujours plaisant, une grande découverte pour moi.vive la musique.
Absolutely amazing album! Perfection.
Guitar sound and playing...soo good ...👍👍👍👏👏👏
That was insanely good
Can you come and play at my 70th Birthday? Got a old Shure Vocalmaster and some Kustom amps to make it easier.
Amazing Stuff! Thank you!!

Wonderful indeed!
Truly unbelievable.
I've never heard such a refreshing and determined ending!
For all Mike Portnoy fans, the drum solo begins at 1:16:xx in part 2 (DVD time). Great, hammer, top class,... this is power.
Yeas... Sure.... MIKE PORTNOY😁😁😁😁
Simply AMAZING!
4:29 when Neal comes in with Bill sounds YOOOGE! These guys are super tight.
Eric Gillette has wonderful tone and clarity when singing and, with that slight grit, he adds complexity to his performance. 23:53 So good!
I love Neal Morse song
The Neal Morse Band "THE GREAT ADVENTURE" Live in Warsaw Poland 2019 @
Wow I think I didn't hear something more... Complete
Perfect 👍
28 min. Wherelse do you get blugrass at a Prog gig? Awesome.
I never tried heroine, but it can't be better than that finale
Pretty epic.
Hubauer is brilliant.
Re-Great !!! Cheers and Life On !!!
Better than Flying Colors. And that is saying a whole lot!
Peter Bluewin, you're so right.
just awesome, best part at 52:50
this is has good has anything there has ever ben in the prog world
anyone can give the set list of the medley please? thank you... I dont recognize the song around the 50 minutes...
56:59 Overture (from "The Great Adventure" 2019)
Is it just me or I often hear the melodie on the syn "Dual with the Devil" Transatlantic
Ah…maaay….zing!
I didnt know Mike portnoy was a Christian. Very cool!
the come on Bill, what's your naem ?
Compare this to distance over the time: a big distance i see.
Incredible live sound quality, far better than DT.
Dt is burning out. They need to shift direction(they tried in astonishing and fails) or better retire.
What do they perform after the 59 min mark? I recall that the last track in the album is Broken Sky/Long Day which ends at 59:00.
i think they had played Momentum, Agenda and The Call
That Mike Portnoy pocket!
Great musicians, precision is their last name, the problem with Morse is that most of his harmonies feel as if I have heard them before by older Prog Rock Brit bands.
Guitar player’s style is so similar to petrucci!
alex lifeson is there! and he sing! 55:23
Davide Sale lol it looks just like him
what's your name the guy from holland 6
name the holland guy 6
Does anyone know if hes referencing the pilgrims progress with his lyrics
The whole thing is about Pilgrims Progress
@@scottanderson6166 i knew it! Such a great book!
