Story 1: How would he ever be the jerk in this situation? She left willingly after disagreements, had hidden the deeds of the house (most likely theft/destruction of legal documents, a crime itself), and called the cops under false pretenses to gain entry into a property she did not own. In no way shape or form the jerk.

The story of the sisters caring for their grandmother hit a nerve. My dad was having issues and died when i was in high-school. Im the oldest of 3, so i helped care for my siblings and helped him for years. Im in therapy now for things that happened before he passed. Helped with his medical issues, helped care for my siblings, youngest brother has autism... it was a lot. Ive struggled to come to terms with the fact that i will never know why he let this fall on me. There are somethings i understand he couldnt do anything about... but at some point he just gave up. This guy has no idea the kind of stress and trauma that comes from these situations.

Yea what I thought also, I’m sorry you had to have a burden like that at such a young age. taking care of a bed ridden person is a full time job and potentially soul killing for the care giver. I don’t see how OP’s sister could have done well in school with such a burden. You need time to mentally and physically recover from that kind of long term care giving.

I love it when seniors use their time and sense of humor to give jerks a bit of payback.
I noticed that there are two main groups of elderly you encounter, one is the "back in the days it was better" and "the youth is lazy" kind, the other is the exact opposite. The fun and intelligent once that have more than enough free time to make jerks get what they deserve.
The kind of grandma that see that a cashier is a pain to their coworkers and decide to come 15 times to the store, each time only buying a single carrot, and then paying to the cent (which obviously takes ages, since they are old and can't see well) to waste the jerk's time.

Yeah that makes sense there seems to be some weird jabs towards the wife and her appearance which seems like such a characteristic red flag from the father in law and family but also I do think it is odd that it did seem like the wife wanted to turn the parents on the husband in order to hurt him hiding behind an excuse of “I wanted to tell the truth” the husband said “you know how my parents are” which I’m sure the OP does so essentially turning potentially overly snobby, annoying, and attacking people against the husband is not something I really like about the OP although I somewhat understand

My mom had keys to a house I was renting. I had been buying things for myself to set up housekeeping. She came in and saw I had 2 sets of new glasses and new, very nice flatware with all the extra things like a gravy ladle and desert server. She took them and replaced my nice glassware with jelly jar glasses and old silverware that was a jumble of silver plate and stainless. She was actually angry I had bought nice things and had not offered them to her and accepted her old things because that’s how children treat their parents “. I reminded her of how when she got married she had gotten a house full of things like living and bedroom furniture, silverware, dishes and glassware. My grandparents had to find money and totally refurnish their house in a 2 month period . Never saw that flatware or those glasses ever again.

Not to mention they were still teenagers. My mom got a rare auto-immune disease when I was fourteen, and it took away my childhood. She became cruel and vindictive. And to this day, I don't think I could ever forgive her for taking that from me and treating me badly for being tired of how she treated me because of it. I flunked my classes because I was CONSTANTLY taking care of her and my mentally handicapped sister. I have a feeling that that's why (I think it was) Kensi was having so much trouble in school.

    • @meowshark7358

I can also sympathize with the sisters, I gave up ten years of my life basically fresh out of high school to take care of her. I don’t regret it nor do I blame her, she couldn’t help her illnesses nor that we had such little family to fall back
On, and she was the one who raised me when my mom died… but I was set back by it greatly, and no one who hasn’t been in that position of having to care for someone all the time can understand the burn out physically and mentally it can take on a person. Even more so when you love that person and remembered how they used to be like before their physical and mental illnesses set in so badly… to watch a woman who used to scrub the baseboards not even want to get a shower or rinse a cup. It breaks something in you. I feel for these guys and hope things go better for them in their lives going forward and that they can slowly get some normalcy and successes in their corners.

It was a very funny situation to him, because these two women despise each other, and they’re wearing the exact same clothes women hate this in general. It was probably even worse cause they despise each other so what he meant to say was the situation was extremely funny, but he tried to make it sound poetic and that’s what got him in trouble.

Women don’t like it when they wear the same outfit when it’s unplanned, and the fact of these two women already don’t like each other they were either arguing, which was probably the plan or they had silent anger, which would also be pretty funny. The husband meant the situation was beautiful as in very funny it was just a very poor choice of words on the man’s part.

@@ssjuicebox9700 here’s the thing when a man says something more often than not, you have to take it at face value because there’s truly no subject to read. There’s no hidden message. A woman is the opposite when they say something more often than not you have to look for the subtext like if she says, I’m fine with that really means is I’m not fine, I got a problem in women think like that too they think men have some hitting meaning behind what they say, but in this case, and any case of cheating or what seems like cheating on women will see it at face value for once what she sees is called two women and a work of art not seeing the text of that situation was beautiful these two women who absolutely hate each other are wearing the same dress, which is something a lot of women do not like men even worse when the women already don’t like each other mean we could only imagine what happened to that party? It could be silent anger it could’ve been a verbal ass whooping from both of these womenWe don’t know, but he does and maybe it was funny as hell so he wanted something to remember that moment, which would be the picture I do where is coming from, but this wasn’t him cheating or even complimenting these women this was him finding the situation. funny again he just said it in a really stupid way.
