    In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
    Male-pattern baldness
    Women tend to lose hair along the part.
    Female-pattern baldness
    Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
    Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
    Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
    Traction alopecia
    t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
    Frontal fibrosing alopecia
    Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
    Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
    Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
    Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
    Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
    Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
    Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
    When to see a doctor
    See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
    Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
    People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

    When you lose your hair so young and so fast, It messes with your self image, you can't recognize yourself and feel ugly all the time. I had really bad skin in my teens, struggled with gaining any weight at all, and lost my hair in early 20s. It felt like my body would just not give me a break. I'm 30 now, and I learned that self love is something you do, not something you can philosophy yourself into. You do for yourself as you would for someone you had responsibility for taking care of. It always feels like you can do whatever you want because it's just you. But a part of you that has autonomy is like a big brother or a parent to all those parts of you that are hurting. I now eat food that is good for my skin, work out, and wear a hair system. It takes time, energy and not to mention money, but I've never been happier. Thank you me ;)

      I'm 16 and I'm losing hair.I have a family history of hairloss too.I use the medication known as Minoxidil since 2months from now.I noticed that my hairfall was getting worse.I took a haircut and there is like no hair on the crown.It depresses me a lot.I am also stressed about my exams,self esteem and overall social life.But I now feel kinda better.Ty :)

      Wearing a hair system is costly, unnatural and not very convenient during summer. More over, it's crazy to maintain, and all your life revolves around your hairpiece. I wear a cap 24/7, it's cheaper and more convenient, and when I'll be ready I'll shave my head.

    Struggled with hair loss for years , I’m 39 now , I went from such a guy with positive outlook to now being on and off anti depressive medication. I have taken hair loss medication before , but my goal was always acceptance and shaving it off at some stage.
    It would be easy for me to get a hair system or a hair transplant , but I will feel I will always be chasing that dream of perfect hair , acceptance and self love is my dream . I’ve been 4 years in this nightmare by the way , I feel like it’s a process, some days are darker than others with not many happy days but I’m hanging in there, I’ve done the therapy route which I’m back at. I’m at the bottom of the barrel but hopefully I will get there

    This is the first time I've heard a therapist acknowledge hair loss. My therapists have always ignored it and don't consider hair loss to be a mental health problem. Why have my psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists never recommended that I buy a hair system?

    • @Jokerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
      @Jokerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Рік тому

      My therapist was bald and in his opinion hair transplant and hair system are ridiculous… but it’s a cultural thing because if a women use hair system it’s ok for therapist but not man ….

    • @dualscreengrant
      @dualscreengrant Рік тому

      That therapist is a fucking asshole. You are correct that it's more acceptable for women to wear hair systems, so I don't know whether men or women are more affected by hair loss. I just know it's a disease that I would never wish on anybody.

    I dont wear a system but i imagine a lot of men think that a hair system is just perpetuating some level of anxiety. I think channels like this do these men a lot of good. I lurk on Reddit and the men there wearing a system are thrilled about it. They report their confidence as going off the charts.

    Though this is a channel in regards to hair system, I feel like we should also put an emphasis on physical health. This includes nutrition, exercise, etc. I understand what that 21 year old is going through. I too was on that mental state. not only till I started working on my body and health is when I started feeling and looking better. Loving yourself is key. Putting on a hair system is also what helped me love myself.

People saying to not treat now as I'm a teenager and the treatment has many side effects. Going to study in 11th grade this year and thinking, how to deal with the situation in school. Hope God will help me🙏🪔💔💔
