But it's not a car...Clearly states that it is defined as a motorcycle because it has three wheels. That is why the Can am Spyder is defined as a motorcycle, it's due to the 3 wheels.

Morgan Three Wheeler has been a passion of mine for decades, I was fortunate to drive one once and absolutely loved it. Definitely a dream vehicle.
As a Brit 🇬🇧 glad you got to enjoy one of our great historical hand built car brands. This isn’t the only type they build but they still use the original coach build methods used in yester years. Sticking the S&S motor in was a brilliant idea for them 🇬🇧🔥🤘😎👍🔥🇬🇧

Morgan a few years ago had a major upgrade, they rot proofed the chassis with cuprinol!
More seriously, they are the ultimate niche manufacturer. They have tried to have updated models in their range, never caught on. If you want a 1930's roadster, they still make them!

He's a nice guy. He let me sit in that Morgan at an Ephrata Ride-In a couple years ago. They are by far the coolest reverse trike.

Just for anyone interested, Morgan 3 wheelers are actually cars! Loads of character and great fun to drive, so I believe. They are made in Malvern, Worcestershire and only about 30 to 40 minutes drive from my home and you can go around the factory, it's fascinating and well worth it if you visit the UK.
Legally speaking it very much depends which country for count as a car or bike... I live in Taiwan/am a Taiwan citizen. Here 3 wheels with a bike style steering we can license it as a bike, with a car steering wheel forget about it... you can't get registration. Just one example but I know many other countries decide differently if this is a bike or a car.
I know it’s not as fast as some of the other 3 wheelers but this one is at top of my bucket list. LOVE the old school look and engine out front reminds me of WW1 airplanes.

I feel like if you are a Morgan owner, knowing what a brake master cylinder is would be a good thing.
You get a pretty solid split with MW3 owners. About half the owners wrench the other half don’t even touch the car. Unfortunately a large majority of 3 owners don’t even drive the cars. At least over here in the states.
People that spend $60K on a toy don't tend to be gear heads.
@@spencers4121 You would be surprised with 3 wheeler owners. A huge lot of us have taken the car part many times over. If you purchase one your gonna have to fix and upgrade things no matter what. The guys who don’t know that coming in just don’t drive them much.
I feel like if you drive anything hand made with wood in the chassis, the brake reservoir should be a priority checklist item. Lol

Brilliant! Lots of fun. And for those with less income, a company called Lomax in the UK used to make a version with Citroen 2CV mechanics.
Ever since seeing one on top gear Uk years ago I’ve wanted one . I’d get the s&s 143 and a trask turbo and just make it a litttle ripper
I have been a fan of Morgans for years. Absolutely a blast to drive! Great video. More people need to learn about these great “cars”.
Niche market, and high price point. And looks like they just stopped production of the 3 wheeler.
This isn't hate, I would love to have one. But the price even used is beyond me, for a "toy".
@spencer s think of it as an investment. Expensive yes, but going up in value each year due to exclusivity and production of this model now ceased.

Usually I think three wheelers are a little goofy, but I've always loved these things. I see one driving around where I live occasionally, always wanted to get a chance to talk to the driver but we're always going different directions. It does need an RAF Spitfire paintjob in my opinion, but I'm a turbo nerd.
I have a red Morgan with the Spitfire logos, I can honestly say that I have never had a negative reaction from anyone. It always draws a crowd wherever I go.
Got to meet him and see his bike at last years fathers day car and bike show at the amvets. Great guy and a cool machine.

My uncle had a copy of one of these powered by a Citroen 2cv engine (flat twin) and front wheel drive!

Well ive finally experienced everything in life. A 3 wheeled vehicle I absolutely adore. That thing is gorgeous.
there's actually a vehicle in mario kart 8 deluxe that pays homage to this, called the "Tri-Speeder". it's a personal favourite and it's got some really impressive stats. and looks really cool, like a sort of mario-fied Morgan: the part of the engine where the two mushroom shaped cylinders coincide is shaped and patterned like a mystery block tilted to the right by 25 degrees.
I want one. My Granddad had an Original and it was a beast. Us Grand kids loved it. A lucky builder took it away decades later as a freebie!!!! I was heart broken as i wanted it.

From my experience working at a motorcycle dealership, it's not only titled as motorcycle because it has three wheels. A salesman explained to me once that it also has to weigh less than a certain amount to be considered a motorcycle. Morgan's, vanderhalls, and slingshots all meet this requirement. And yes, even though it drives like a car, a driver without a motorcycle endorsement on their license can get tickets or have the vehicle impounded if stopped while driving this. Depending on the officer, the violation and local laws of course.

When I was a paint sprayer in the UK I was part of a team that restored a 1930s Morgan 3 wheeler, it was painted Maroon.

A Morgan is on my bucket list to own one day!! My wife says that when I retire it is going to be one of those or a boat.... but not both.... I have some time to think about it...lol.

Now I know you know what a Morgan is Sean. While they look the same they're far far from it. Some of the other types are beautiful. Which car was following to film, could sort of see the front but couldn't work it out. Either way you left it for dead at the roundabout... 🤔 😉 😅
