@@mcgritty8842 naw I dead ass serious. Think about great stories. There's soaring highs and horrible lows. And I think his career encompasses that. I mean i dont know how long youve been raving, but Bassnectar RAN SHIT when i was getting into the scene as a kid. Not saying I think the allegations against him are cool. But look at wolf of wall street. Would you say Jordan Belfort is a great guy? Probably not 😄 but is a film about the crazy antics surrounding him entertaining? FUUUUCK YEAH IT IS 💯 same shit with Bassnectar fam
Crazy visuals... Good fkin music. FIrst song I heard of her was with Malaa. And her signature was strong in it. Made me want to listen to more of her songs. Didn't disappoint.
I already loved her music, but Im an elder millennial, so I'm a bit late to the party. Spotify kept suggesting a Rezz playlist based on what I listen to - and I have good taste in music, so I have discovered a lot of great music that way. Also, I was intrigued by the hypno-goggles. I have been playing her music ever. However, now I have seen this video as and understand her background, and I understand her better - I really respect her as a person.
Saw her live when she opened for Madeon, had only listened to her earlier that day so I knew what the opening acts were like. She did great, but the crowd was so dead (I dont know if this is a general thing, but most concerts I've been to have not been enthusiastic for the opening acts). Rude! I managed to talk to her very briefly after the show, she was really nice, from what I remember. I'll keep an eye on her work in the future.
Oh no way, I didn't know she's opened for Madeon before! Yeah unfortunately some people don't care about the openers, but I've found some of my favorite artists from them being openers
@@audioeats I'm sorry, I completely misremembered who was who. It wasn't Rezz at all, I've never seen her live, only her Secret Sky set streamed when she performed on that. The artist I spoke to was probably LP Giobbi. Totally different person.
yeah, i know a handful, but some stood out and i couldn't find them. i think the full list of tracks used in this video would be great to help me fill in the missing pieces! :) @@audioeats
@@JakeBlakeCatboy None of them are officially released tracks, they're all from a music service I use. Except for the very end of the video I use a clip from Rezz's song "Relax"
@@JakeBlakeCatboy It's called Splice - it's mostly for samples for producers but there are also some demo tracks which are the ones I use in the videos
Yes definitely! Been thinking about doing a Deathpact one for a while, I'll have to go into hardcore detective mode for it haha. I'll add them both to my list.
I don't think that's relevant in regards to her come up though, that didn't happen until 2018 and she was already getting a lot of attention as early as 2015. By 2018 she wasn't some undiscovered artist that Bassnectar thought he could help out, she already had a big fan base which is why she was on the lineup, because she could sell tickets.
Then why open up for him if she was so huge already? And his tickets sold no matter what, just curious not hating. But regardless keep up the good work
He was bigger than her back then - it was a good opportunity, but I wouldn't consider it an integral part of her come up, I don't think she had a massive uptick in following as a direct result of that support slot
Let’s be fair, 95% of her success is good looking girl that knew how to work the game of edm festivals. Used her looks to get backstage with confidence
She was blowing up in 2015 before anyone even knew what she looked like... She makes dope music and her branding is better than 95% of artists out there. She carved out her own lane entirely.
lmfao incredible video
I can't believe you saw this lol, you're the best!
@@audioeatshey unrelated, but I think a video about Bassnectar would be DOPE 😊 Especially considering he's making his big comeback recently
lol Yeah covering someone with his type of condition is exactly what a budding youtube channel needs

Rezz is just on a different level
As soon as Relax came out, she was guaranteed Success!
Yeah that song is perfect live!
Yeah that Mass Manipulation tour intro she did back in 2017 went crazy live.

shes dope thats why
Just seen her for the first time last weekend @ Red Rocks. What a banger it was
I'm jealous, those new visuals looked incredible!
Love your videos, bro! Recently found your channel and I hope the algorithm do you justice, good stuff 👍👍
I appreciate the support!
this is awesome
Thank you!
Everyone here in Denver seems to call her “Space Mom”. I have no idea if people use it anywhere else.
I think so! I've seen a lot of people call her that on her subreddit
there's a literal cult of rezz lol I camped next to the leadership at eforest in 2017. they were cool as fvck
Great video.
Thank you!

Love your videos, have you considered doing one on Zeds Dead? I don't know much about their early career but they're always my favorite to see live.
Thank you! Yeah I'll definitely do one on them at some point!
FIRST!! Love REZZ
I like the songs 'Haunted Eyes' and 'Blurry Eyes'!😄
here after the REZZ b2b Deadmau5 set
Didn't Wick-It the Instigator do the hypnotic glasses way before her?
Yep you're right, I hadn't heard of him before!

does anyone have the songlist?
For the background music in the video? Or do you mean something else

wow i didnt know NestHQ was an offshoot of OWSLA. makes sense though
Life on easy mode
It's called talent.
Wow im really over complicating things out here
Iirc, she closed out Electric Zoo in 2021
Could you do a video like this on i_o or deathpact?
Yes definitely! Been thinking about doing a Deathpact one for a while, I'll have to go into hardcore detective mode for it haha. I'll add them both to my list.
A video on i_o would be nice, considering he passed away
more edm videos !
Will do! I'm working on Deathpact right now
My dream is to have a mini conversation with her one day 😩🌀🌀
Stop leaving out Bassnectar having her open for him he did that for so many DJs you don't have to like him but tell the truth
