    Great pushes in that heat, Jess! I bet the 738 was heating up inside somthing terrible until the engines could start once you got it back into the alleyway to K3. The FO got his sun shades up quick once you turned the plane around! Super accurate stuff My Lady, and your smile melts hearts! ❤

    I understand acclimatization and that all the rampers and other personnel out in the environment eventually get somewhat acclimated to the heat, but still have to throw a lot of respect your way. When I wore a younger man’s clothes, I did asphalt paving in Fresno CA. in the summer and it seemed like you couldn’t pack enough fluids into you, you’re a tough group. I like the 737max or the A321. The airbuses have a higher clearance so you can see the main gear better. But I like both of those aircraft because they are bigger, and heavier…so they are actually easier to push 😁

    Your assistant who disconnected the tow bar and then the by pass pin clearly had height issues with closing the coms panel. Clearly struggling to secure the panel fasteners, she uses her wand to try to reach the upper fastener. While she is trying to secure the panel , engine two is spooling up and the beacon light is on. The 737 max is a taller airplane then previous versions of the 737, she should have been away from the airplane during engine start and beacon light on.

    • @ladyandtheramp
      @ladyandtheramp  5 місяців тому

      The max’s are definitely taller than the other 737’s. She was actually the tallest person on our team that day. She had to improvise with her wand to get the final latch closed. She was still outside of the ingestion zone of the engine. And stays very aware of where she is at in reference to the engine.

    Is it hard to learn how to maneuver the planes with the steering? Is there a simple method you use to remember which way to steer to move the plane in the direction? I had a small camper trailer for 10 years and I still could never remember how to back it up correctly. 🙄🤣

    • @ladyandtheramp
      @ladyandtheramp  5 місяців тому +1

      It is hard to backup small trailers! Like the smaller airbuses…they get squirrly quickly!
      Pushing planes is the opposite of backing up trailers…
      You turn the aircraft in the direction of where you want the tail to go 😁

    • @paulgriffiths6237
      @paulgriffiths6237 5 місяців тому

      The key to push back airplanes, is not to fixated on the nose gear, also small movements on the steering wheel of tug results in large movement on the main gear which can be over 70 and more feet away. Look at the tail, thats where your going. Training, practice

    When you have to push a plane that far in reverse, do the passenger air miles roll back in reverse as well?
    “Welcome aboard ladies and gentlemen. For our air miles passengers, today’s trip will give you 20,000 miles. The pushback process was negative 13,000 for a net of 7,000.”
