great planes and many different paint schemes. Old Continental 757 gold tail looks good. NWA 400 and DC-10 loook so good.

Continental never had any 757s in the red meatball gold tail livery, there's a MD80 in this video in that livery but Continental never had any 757s painted into that livery all of Continental's 757s didn't arrive until after Continental adopted the blue tail globe livery

I remember flying here late 1990. Flew in and out on a Continental 727. It was the first time seeing the A-320. America West had maybe four brand new ones parked with no colors on them yet.

Airlines had more distinctive liveries back in the day, also way more aircraft type. Even seeing a Northwest 747 parked at the airport. Flying used to have so much more personality.

Those AA MD-88's were pretty when new. This was prior to terminal 4 opening when HP flew to HNL as well as Japan (Nagoya) on the 747-200's.sad we have lost most of these carriers. All the DL 727-200s were SLC based WA aircraft this was long enough after the merger to paint them all in DL colors. Canadian was created with a merger CP Canadian Pacific with Pacific Western, it was a excellent carrier based in Calgary. I miss them all TWA, NWO, HP, CO, and so ,any more

Wow, an Air BC BAe-146! I actually flew on one unintentionally, as it was subbed for a NWT Air Lockeed Electra I was deliberately trying to fly on. I was not happy. PHX still allows rooftop planewatching; no one hassles you. Too bad the aircraft today aren't as varied or interesting.
