My wife is a new Christian and I've prayed for her every night since we've been married. (I did not tell her this) I prayed for Jesus to give her dreams of him and one night it happened. She told me one morning after about 3 months that she dreamed of Jesus. She said that she was running scared and there was a large group of people who were angry and chasing her. As she was running she said she saw a tall man in white and he looked down towards her. He told her to stand behind him and said that he would keep her safe. He then addressed the people to leave her alone and move on. All of the people chasing her left her alone with Christ.
stop praying for people, that's interfering with her free will, and do you think god hasn't noticed her? giving god advice "hey god you missed this one" is not a good idea.
This comment is way out of left field… how is someone praying for their unsaved wife to be saved a bad thing? The Bible literally tells us to do this (1st Tim 2:1-3)

Came here to say the same thing. Sri Lanka has a completely different history than India even if they may have similar physical features.
Keralite here- yes the distinction is important. She is of Sri-Lankan heritage, although the difference here is that she is ethnically Tamil- which means she traces her roots to Tamil Nadu in India. So she is both Sri-Lankan by nation of origin and culturally and ethnically Tamil.

My accent was not and still isn’t typically Singaporean. Former Prime Minister Lee speaks with a similar accent but he did his undergraduate degree at Cambridge. 🤷🏽♂️

What many commenters were not addressing was her Britishness. It’s as relevant as her parents’ ethnic background to making her the person she is.
I’ve heard Prime Minister Lee of Singapore speak and while his standard of conversational English is good, his accent is not identifiable as ‘BBC neutral’ whatever you may think that to be.
Why do I say this? Because I was born, bred and have lived in London for 95% of my life. MIA’s English upbringing in her younger years reflects her accent, it’s an upbringing that reflects her time living in Mitcham, south London, which is just a few miles away from where I have always lived. I have more than 50 years lived experience of interacting with many different people in London and MIA speaks with an impeccable Home Counties pronunciation of being a natural from London.
But you’re free to carry on shrugging your shoulders if you don’t understand this.

I was converted in 2018 when my search for ultimate truth ended up at the intersection of Jesus and my Sin… I realized most everything I’ve ever believed in was a lie, fed to me by the authorities in my life I was supposed to trust, more than that, when I questioned the ONE thing you cannot question in the Western World I realized we lived in a lie. The spiritual world is more real than this physical world. More than the things we touch, there are things that go on spiritually everyday in our “natural lives.” That we don’t “see” and that is why it is important to “put on the full armor of God.” I bring this up because it’s not brought up enough. There are other gods and entities to worship, but it comes at a price and that’s why there is no peace ☮️ in other gods. Jesus paid for us by His Blood 🩸 no other god defeated “Death” no other god paid the price for our sin which is death but Jesus did! Regardless of who you give dominion over you. Jesus still has the last say, if He says you are His. He will call you out of whatever you are in.

You get baptized when you get baptized.
Check out acts 2:37-41, this is where Peter tells to repent and be baptized, and then it says all who received the word were baptized.
John the Baptist baptized Jesus before Jesus embarked on his public ministry (this was also before Jesus’s wilderness fast). The churches conducts baptisms as the result of following Jesus’s example.
Granted, water baptism doesn’t lead to salvation; I should make that clear. Belief in who Jesus is, and the fact that God raised Him from the grave is the only requirement for salvation, and eternal life. Ephesians 2 says that we’re saved by the grace of God, through our faith in Him.
