    I was ordained into the priesthood three weeks ago, and I'll never forget the Bishop's words on that day, "Priests should be servants, and the only way you will know that you are a servant is if people treat you like one!"

      Yes, that's right! Jesus came to earth to serve and humble Himself, demonstrating how we should serve others. One of the key moments illustrating this is when He washed the feet of His disciples. This act of washing their feet was a powerful symbol of humility and service. In John 13:14-15 (NIV), Jesus says:
      "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you."
      This passage emphasizes that no one is above another and that true greatness in the Kingdom of God is found in serving others with humility and love.

      @@AMcDub0708 Absolutely, I see what you mean. While serving others with humility, we should also honor and respect each other as fellow believers, treating one another with the same dignity and esteem as we would royalty.
      In 1 Peter 2:17 (NIV), it says:
      "Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor."
      This verse encourages us to honor everyone and specifically love and respect our fellow believers. Serving each other doesn't mean diminishing someone's value; rather, it means elevating and honoring them through our acts of service, reflecting the love and humility of Christ.

    This passage you address is exactly the problem with the church today. So many looking like corporate america instead of the church Christ intended. Vying for status and leadership instead of brotherhood and servanthood.

      obviously there are churches striving to be Holy before God but obviously the VAST majority seem to be striving to look like corporate america.

    A lady at my church had a great saying that’s always stuck with me - “saved to serve.” Sums it up nicely.

    I'm reminded of my time at a small Bible College in WY. The nearby towns had faithful sevant-based pastors who thought nothing of it to so the most menial jobs, scrub toilets, help ranchers with odd jobs, volunteer for the local fire department, fix the plumbing, paint elderly church member's homes, etc. They knew what they were getting into because their fathers were pastors who did the same thing. They didn't flee for greener pastures in the city. They found it a privilege to serve the Lord, often without recognition or thanks from those they served. He could be a mediocre preacher but I'll take that guy any day because he loves His Lord and knows something about humility. These qualities are getting harder to find in large churches.
    Oh, and they did 80 hours of visitation a month... minimum.

    I think there are some who definitely fall into sin because of this. For those who are solid believers and teach truth and think it’s more of a demonic attack added with tiredness/weariness. Been in ministry now for 20 years along side of my husband and we are tired. Tired of the financial struggle, tired from pouring out ourselves with not much results, tired because we are rearing kids and both of us are having to work, just tired of constantly serving and the work never being done. It’s a struggle. And although my husband needs a break having to ask for one and then implement it are adding to the pressure. When I see pastors who I have admired and looked up to fail, I kind of get it. The pressure can be like no one can ever know. Dealing with problem after problem after problem can be too much. It’s sad the amount of pressure we put on pastors who are supposed to be exhorting and preaching the Word, not dealing with ALL of the problems in the church.

      Do you have a leadership team to lead alongside you (without of course being underneath)? It's not meant for just pastor and wife to handle all problems and administration.

    Pastors are failing because of their doctrine. Beware of those who week in and out teach mainly on love, grace, and mercy. Often times they are the ones who are dealing with sin.
    Many don’t teach and harp on repentance and obedience to The Word because they themselves don’t follow the word and are not doctrinally sound 💯

      We should look at the charactereristics Jesus harped on. Faith, righteousness, service. He declared the Father and showed us His supernatural divinity. God is a supernatural being that we should have a fearful loving relationship w. It seems many have a great relationship w their bible but reject most anything supernatural unless it's written in their bible.

    Another place this is spelled out is in the book of James: 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. (It points to heart motives.). I have also been taught the asking in Matthew 7:7 is connected to this: John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

    I served as an associate pastor at a very well known mega church for many years. I now serve as a lead pastor. The mega church environment afforded me certain privileges I no longer have. I went from having access to an executive office with a Japanese toilet, luxury shower and private car garage to now changing shirts behind the stage curtain next to the janitor cart and ladders, waiting in line to use a single restroom in our lobby and walking across our parking lot after our third service to the inside of my car blazing hot. Regardless of all of this, my love and appreciation to serve has not diminished, but has rather grown and matured. My focus is centered on fulfilling the call of God, serving the cause of Christ, and allowing for that to be enough for me. I think that’s the key. To be a servant in His Kingdom is enough for me. This is the choice we must make and submit to.

      I hate to state the obvious but this isn’t new or is it surprising ? The 3 things that cause most ministers to fall is sex , money and power / pride . I had a good friend who I knew for several years and he was saving money to go to seminary school. He was one of those rare Christians who could quote the Bible verbatim- it was pretty awesome. One day he let his guard down and slipped up and said I can’t wait to have a church and counsel all them lonely women 🤯 . It was my first encounter with people who really shouldn’t be in ministry but it wasn’t my last.

    When the disciples asked to be seated on the left and the right hand, Jesus tells them they do not know what they ask for, he was talking about his crucifixion.
    Those seats are already given is what the Bible says. That is for the two thieves on the cross that were to his left into his right.
    They were asking to be crucified by his side without them, even knowing it.
    Yes, they were definitely expecting some sort of kingdom rulership, but what they were asking for was to be crucified. That’s why he asked them if they are able to drink a cup that he must drink a.k.a. the cup of wrath.

    @ruslan it’s what you said bro. It’s a systematic in American church culture.
    American has a watered down gospel which creates a watered down believer.
    Period.
    We have to get to the true text and stop quenching the spirit. It’s spirit living, not self effort. A true understanding of the spirit and the spirit life will shut all this down.

    Interesting. I'm writing my capstone, right now, on The Dark Side of Leadership ... exploring Toxic Leaders and their Followers and the Emotional, Business and Spiritual Shadows that plague leaders at their zenith. Every day, I look up and there's yet another example of this insidious phenomenon in the ministry, arts and business. The research has been overwhelming, to say the least.

    Service starts in the home, the family. How many “ministers/pastors” neglect their wife and children while spending too much time “serving” the church, their position and others. And for what reason? Because they truly care so much about people or because they crave the adulation their “service” brings them?

    I remember getting involved in a par-church ministry of some sort and they were talking about serving or being involved in the church, and operating in your gift. One of the giftings’ listed was working behind the scenes. And I thought to myself well shouldn’t everybody in some capacity do that? It’s not really a gifting or calling that’s an expectation, right? The meek shall inherit the earth.
    Let me know if I’m off here, but I’m pretty sure working behind the scenes would benefit everyone, right?

    Sin does not have a "personality type", I think this is the danger of stuff like the enneagram which is unfortunately popular in the church currently. I think we need to look at it more by generational patterns and as you have said, Ruslan, the temptation of big platform people to have it all, the fame, money, people etc.

    Lording it over people is exactly what God hates (Matt 20:25). Pastors and preachers don’t get it and that’s why THEY are failing, even for eternity. The kingdom of Christ is to be lived under righteousness which produces what God is looking for and Jesus fulfilled just that!!!

    Why this Pastor fall is not engaging consistently in prayer without ceasing especially praying in Spirit. Look at Jesus ministry how constantly he was in prayer, go heal pple, cast out demons, feed de hungry, back to prayer u wonder when he had time for vacation or even nap time. Except when he napped in de boat while de storm raged. That's what I feel de Pastor today lack. Consistency in prayer and fasting breaks stronghold example lust, sexual immorality even porn u name it. Dey failed on their part and dats exactly de devil was waiting for loopholes to attack.

    I had to put this in 2 comments, because it was too long.
    I agree that many people missuse this passage to promote the prosperity gospel. They think that the Christian life is a life of ease instead of a life of trials, persecutions, and sacrifice like Jesus said it is. We must always put others first and seek others to be wealthy not ourselves (1 Corinthians 10:24).
    However, for a person to have a selfless attitude like that they must truly be saved.
    I was raised IFB and as an adult I have discovered a huge flaw in the way they and many others teach salvation.I believe that if salvation was taught properly these scandles would be far less because most people truly do not want to go to hell. The problem with all these preachers falling into sin is that they were never saved. They are wolves in sheep's clothing.
    The Bible teaches that a truly saved man cannot commit adultery or any sexual crime. The Holy Spirit will not allow him too. These preachers try to use King David as an example of male weakness, but they forget that David was in the Old Testament, before people were indwelt and sealed with the Holy Spirit who gives us power to overcome sin. David even acknowledged this, because he begged God not to take His Holy Spirit from him (Psalms 51:1).
    In the Old Testament the Holy Spirit could come and go from people, even just to test them, like in the case of King Asa (2 Chronicles 32:31). I also believe that God took the Holy Spirit away from Job during his trial, but Job did not fall into anything really bad, he just got a little bit of an attitude that he quickly repented of, when God rebuked Him for it.
    These evil preachers get so mad at me when I bring up Job, because I completely destroy them with him. God Himself says that Job never did anything really evil. The Bible even says that Job made a covenant with his eyes to not look upon another woman except his wife (Job 31:1). Job also only had one wife, which was kind of unusual for back then.
    So Job clearly did not hold the popular view of these wolves that men are weak and that the woman is to blame for somehow being responsible for the thoughts and actions of men.
    Job clearly held himself accountable for his own thoughts and actions, no matter what anyone else did. These evil preachers absolutely hate to hear this, you should see them start squirming!
    In addition, Job lived before Moses. Therefore, He did not have any written Bible.
    He also lived before Jesus. Therefore, He was not sealed with the Holy Spirit, He did not have the power of the Holy Spirit to help him overcome sin, He did not have the power of the blood of Jesus, He did not have the power of the Name of Jesus! Yet, God says that he was one of the most perfect men who ever lived! We have a completed canonized Bible, the sealing of the Holy Spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome sin, the power of the blood of Jesus, and the power of the Name of Jesus, so what is our excuse for not being at least as perfect as Job? We have no excuse!
    Then these evil preachers really get mad and try to say that I'm twisting Scripture!
    Now, Jesus has blessed true believers today with the gift of the indwelling and sealing of the Holy Spirit, and since the Holy Spirit cannot leave us, He now prevents us from doing any really evil sins like adultery, rape, murder, or racism, or even theft.
    The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."
    Also in Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."
    This shows very clearly that true believers are incapable of doing really evil sins. It clearly says that people who do these things are not saved and once they get saved they no longer do these things. So, Yes, that means the majority of "Christians" especially evangelicals in America are false converts and are going to end up splitting hell wide open!
    Now, these preachers try to say that these passages only applies if the sin is habitual or a lifestyle. Well, how many times do you have to commit murder to be considered a murderer? Just once! It is the same with the sin of adultery, fornication, hatred (including bullying and racism), uncleaness, lasciviousness (these can all include sexual crimes), which are the biggest ones they try to excuse as just weaknesses! The Bible makes it very plain that no one who does these things is a true believer. They can truly repent of their sins and believe in Jesus and become a true believer, but they are not a true believer yet! And they never will be until they stop denying the power of God to deliver them from the power of these evil sins!
    The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:3-5 "Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
    These evil preachers are predators who have a deceptive form of godliness, but they deny the power of the Holy Spirit to make them godly. So they make evil excuses for their sins like, "Men will be men." No, these preachers are just evil and the Bible says they are to face severe judicial punishment for their evil crimes (Romans 1:29-320). The Bible is clear! Men are responsible for their sexual crimes! They are not to be "handled" by the church through counseling! They are to be turned over to the government for proper punishment!

      Christians can indeed sin, but they can't sin without feeling guilty without grieving the Holy Spirit. If they are sinning without any remorse, that's when you can argue that they have not ever been saved, that it's just been a show.

      👍 unfortunately it would be half the folks comments I read on these various clips especially lately. Like I heard one Pastor say recently from another mega church- he said "remember Jesus washed Judas feet". I had to add mega church statement because I'm so sick of hearing people say that phrase. I mean what do you think Heaven's going to be one big megachurch. I mean God's about growth, & conversions. If not what are we doing then. You can't constantly have a negative attitude of all pastors that have a large church. I just SMH at all these tones and attitudes you read.

      I despise this show and more when I found out that the guy acting as Jesus is a catholic (also seen praying to a dead body) and even the crew on set some are mormon and so on. Why make a show about Jesus when this will clearly lead people to quote the show over scripture. Another problem is people have been saying they see that guys face when praying to Jesus and that is alarming.

    Continued from above.
    There are so many false conversions today because the mainstream church no longer preaches the true gospel! They teach all a person has to do to be saved is just believe the facts about Jesus and say a prayer!
    That is not how a person truly gets saved. The full meaning of the word "believe" in the Bible includes not only being fully persuaded concerning the facts about Jesus, but to also commit, yield, and obey."
    This means that in order for a person to truly be saved they must completely believe the facts about Jesus according to the Scriptures and commit their life to obeying Christ, yielding (fully surrendering) their will to God's will for every aspect of their lives!
    So repentance of sins is not just deciding to stop doing bad things and start doing good things, but it is more than just that! It is turning away from disobedience to Christ to obedience to Christ! People can do good things and still be in disobedience to Christ.
    Like, if God calls someone to go be a missionary to a dangerous place right now like India, but they decide they would rather stay safe here in America and start a homeless shelter. Starting a homeless shelter is a good thing, but if God actually called the person to go to India, then they are living a life of disobedience and sin against Christ.
    So, just because a person does good things does not mean that they have biblically repented and are saved.
    Furthermore, the Bible never even says a person has to say a prayer to be saved. However, I use it to lead people to Christ, but I really try to make sure they understand that saying the prayer does not save them. They must biblically believe which includes repentance away from sin and towards obedience to Christ, not just towards doing good.
    None of This is not taught in mainstream churches! Not even in very conservative Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches like the one I was raised in.
    I think another reason for so many false converts in the church today is the way they handle the salvation of children. They think that children as young as 3 and 4 years old can go to hell, so they try to get them saved as fast as possible. I made my first profession at 3, but I did not truly get saved until I was 12. My brother made his first profession at 4, but did not get truly saved until he was 22 after Dad left the family to live a life of sin.
    At 16 my brother had raised his hand in a church service saying that he wanted to get saved, but Dad rebuked him sharply and said "We are missionaries, we are supposed to already be saved" and Dad convinced him that he got saved at 4.
    I have seen this kind of thing in Baptist churches my whole life. They will pressure little kids into saying a prayer that they do not truly understand and then if the child ever questions they get rebuked and told that they just need to believe that they are saved!
    A person believing that they are saved does not make them saved! And in order for a person to get saved they have to understand what a commitment is. A toddler has not even really started school yet. They have no idea of what a commitment is!
    In my studies of the Scriptures I have discovered that the Bible does plainly give the age of accountability to be 20 years old. The Bible even shows that a child under 20 does not know the difference between good and evil (Deuteronomy 1:39).
    A child can know right from wrong to a point, but even that is subjective to what their authorities have told them is right and wrong.
    Even Adam and Eve knew that it was wrong to eat the forbidden fruit. It was the knowledge of good and evil (meaning the ability to discern between good and evil) that condemned them to hell.
    A child can and should get saved before the age of 20, so that they never fall into any really bad sins (Matthew 18:13), but they are not condemned to hell until they are 20. I personally do not believe that people should actively try to get a child saved until they are at least 12, and then they still need to be very careful that the child truly understands biblical salvation.

    The church must get back to preaching the sound doctrine of biblical repentance and salvation or these scandles will just keep happening, and we will never see another true revival.

      @@troyboldon1 I did not say that Christians do not sin. I said the Holy Spirit will not allow anyone who is truly saved to do any really evil sins like murder, sexual crimes, theft, etc. I have never murdered anyone, done any kind of sexual crime, or any of those other really evil sins except I stole some candy at the age of 10 Which was before the age of accountability anyway. As I wrote in my comment the age of accountability is 20. Then I got saved at the age of 12. Since I got saved 38 years ago I have not even stolen anything! I am one of the 99 sheep that Jesus spoke of that never went astray, because I truly got saved as a child before the age of accountability, and the Holy Spirit never allowed me to go astray.
      Christians still do small sins like being impatient, or failing to help someone at times, but we cannot do anything really evil. And yes, I do truly repent when I sin, because Christians do not get away with small sins either. Jesus said in Luke 12:47-48 that Christians can be whipped for unrepentant sins at judgment. I have a video on my chanel called "Christians Will Not Get Away With Sin" that explains this in detail.

    Let me start by first saying I think your right on what you pointed out as the problem. However, I am going to nitpick on the analogy you used of Tech CEO's... Its a horrible analogy because The way CEO's much less Tech CEO's serve their employees is by having those meetings that either open the door to new contracts/work, resolving issues that span multiple departments and likely organizations, and understanding the product well enough to come up with a vision and lead the company in the direction of that vision. Would it be great if they solved accounting issues or resolved problems in HR. or dealt with logistics problems in the warehouse. Sure. But time spent doing that is time not spent doing the things CEOS are supposed to be doing. Things that if they dont do, the company starts trending towards bankrupcy jeopardizing peoples ability to eat. While I get the point you were trying to make with the analogy. I am making my objection because there is way too much ignorance of what Managements job actually is. Leading to alot of irrational resentment. Which you can easily see when you look at companies whose managements are being irresponsible, yet their employees are still mad they screwed shit up.
    I make this objection because while I can recognize your attempt to try and explain what a leader in a church not doing their job looks like. We first need to start with understanding what the hell that job looks like. Depending on how the church is organized you could definately have a pastor who looks like they arent serving when in reality the flock lack an understanding of how the churches organization shapes the tasks the pastor is actually supposed to be doing.

    The problems facing the church are very related to stage-based christianity. Did not Jesus say to "Call no one teacher, father, or master?" What exactly do you think is happening when a monologue sermon is given?
    How about we admit that the word 'sermon' is not really in the Bible?
    When teachers and preachers get up to teach the whole church (you know Jesus seems to have only chosen to disciple 12) able to question their assertions IN REAL TIME is essential to heading off theological error and is maintaining the reality that WE ARE ALL BRETHREN.
    It is time for a new Lollard type movement to be reborn. The Lollards believed we were all priests, they stood against complex doctrine (because it can only be correctly taught and explained by well trained teachers), and they were against the formal proceedings of church meetings.
    Instead, they might meet and someone would read a passage and then everyone in attendance of their SMALL group, would have the ability to weigh in.
    And if you look at Paul's statement that women should 'stay silent' during gatherings - how does it make any sense in the modern church? Everyone in the church is NOW expected to STAY SILENT (with the exception of 'Amens' during the giving of the sermon.
    Let's face it, our modern model does not produce disciples and instead elevates those who are excellent communicators and the administrators over the rest of the church.
    Again, how many times do I need to reiterate what is taught in Matthew 23 which is entitled “Woe to the Scribes and Pharisees”. All of these woes are prefaced by the first twelve verses which tell us that noone should stand above us (as one giving a sermon) to be our teacher. And then it says exactly what you said, Ruslan RIGHT AFTER SAYING “And do not be caled teachers, for One is your Teacher, the Christ.”
    “But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. and whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

    Why don't you get Bob Hamp on the program? He was interviewed on CBN and was the Ex. Pastor from 2005-2014 at Gateway church but while he did not know the allegations and situation because he came on staff after the event, he is a counselor who deals with trama and abuse cases and similar to Diane Langberg who has been dealing with this for over 40 years and was interviewed across media during the Ravi Zacharis situation, he has some good insights on abuse in positions of leadership across the board in secular and Christian realms . . . very very interesting and I think he may be onto something. I would love to hear you interview him as you are so good a asking questions and digging into these things.

    There is a tendency to blame the moral failings of individual men on "the mega church". Thats a mistake as men can fall regardless of church size.
    I believe that the Lord judging the Church first before He judges those who are enemies of His Kingdom. While I do not rejoice at any man falling, I delight in knowing that God is moving in this land.🙏🙏🙏

Or long standing members throwing their senority and poltical weight around, i think of first last, last first.     This whole conversation is very relevant to me right now. I’ve been in seminary for two years now and a few weeks ago I finally decided to take a pastoral ministry class. Before, I thought seminary would help me grow as a scholar and theologian but after disparate situations in life, I’ve recognized the need for true pastors in the church. I’m now taking pastoral ministry more seriously than ever. The church needs shepherds who will care for them, make time for them, and teach them.

    And now you have entered into the next debate…where churches have lay members serve, serve, serve without being able to miss a Sunday. Without being able to attend a service. You’re the stuck in the endless cycle to serve every Sunday because that’s biblical what you’re supposed to do.
    Most of the CEO pastors i bet would say they are “serving” because they preach every Sunday. They keep it running. They are writing books and attending the conferences to keep the churches status up.

    Serving yes buuuuuut. I would add 2 things. 1. MANY pastors are looking to collect followers instead of investing in discipleship. Discipleship will often offend mere followers. 2. MANY pastors have more reverence for the organizational structure they constructed than the voice of God. If you've EVER feared telling a congregation a word because it may offend donors or shrink the congregation; you have more reverence for your structure than of God.

    The reality of Christian leadership or any
    Christian crashing is not new or unusual; not to my first hand experience or outside
    observation. In 1985 my wife and I became involved with a Vineyard fellowship from it's inception. The pastor,
    associate pastor and elders bought into the full load of heretical doctrine, policy and practice taught by the Vineyard founders. I got involved in the children's
    ministry because this fellowship had about 150 kids ranging in age from infants to early teens. We always had difficulty getting people to work with the kids because too many of the adults wanted to be in the sanctuary being "spiritual". We had a few faithful women
    that would serve the children; only one
    man. As time passed it became painfully
    obvious there was something seriously
    wrong with the men supposedly leading us. But at the time I couldn't bring myself
    to admit that the leaders I had trusted had
    been duped by seducing spirits. They had
    departed from sound scriptural teaching
    and gone off into the subjective, the sensational. Still I thank Father God that he kept me from believing the lies. Everything became so pointless there.
    Every meeting just became a disordered, emotional wingding. So we left that fellowship. Shortly after we left, the first
    undiscerned, corrupting secret was revealed. A woman that was involved in administration in the church we had left
    went public to admit to a long term adulterous affair with her best friend's husband. And she would be leaving her husband to marry the other man. This same woman just a few years earlier had
    invited the women in the aforementioned
    Vineyard fellowship to her sex toy party
    and the supposed leadership did nothing
    about it. The pastor's wife attended.
    Next, to the leadership at this Vineyard; starting with the head pastor. It was eventually revealed that while he was in that position of trust, he had been abusing
    prescription drugs for about a decade. He
    finally had to be admitted into long-term
    rehab. Next. the associate pastor. He came out of an intensive background of sex, drugs and rock n' roll. That former
    lifestyle was not the problem. The problem was that he, as a novice in the faith, contrary to scripture was appointed
    by the drug addicted pastor. In time it was
    revealed that during the time of the
    pastor's secret prescription drug abuse;
    the associate pastor began and continued
    a long term adulterous affair with the church secretary who was a small group
    leaders wife. And finally to the head elder;
    same church. He was a building contractor. I worked for him for a short time. He seemed to be nice enough; humble, quiet ; until he was at church and
    then he was the opposite. You see, with the approval of both pastors he declared
    himself a prophet and of some consequence. I remember my daughter called me one day and said, "I have to tell
    you something". "-------- committed suicide". " We just heard about it". "He drove his truck to the middle of the bridge,
    got out, stepped over the rail and jumped".
    I'm sure anyone that's reading my comments may well be wondering; what's
    his motivation? It's a cautionary tale taken
    from actual events. It's about the open door that leads to falling and crashing and
    burning. The open door is pride; self exaltation that first blinds you to the truth then causes you to believe the lie. As it was in the beginning, Satan's delusion.
    I will ascend. My will be done. Consider this universal progression. Pride, Deception, Rebellion, Disobedience, Bondage, Death.

    The young people of today missed out on the HUMBLE PASTORS FROM MY TIME. I’m 69 years old and devastated at what the “ CHURCH” looks and acts like today. ENTERTAINMENT!!! MONEY !!! BUSINESS!!! No hell brimstone and fire teaching. I’m living in one of the most RELIGIOUS states I have ever lived in, I call it a bubble. It’s a Southern state . I’ll be moving back to reality to the West Coast.

    I personally believe that too many pastors are soft. They don't want to talk about the tough topics in the Bible that need to be addressed. It's not about pleasing everyone, it's about teaching what the Bible says and not wavering on God's word.

    2:00 - it’s not “interesting that Jesus is saying people are evil”, it’s interesting that people’s theology about Jesus doesn’t line up with Jesus. He has not changed, neither has the Bible. It’s what mainstream Christians think about Him. They’ve created the “buddy Christ” in their minds and they believe they can do no wrong and will not be held accountable just because they proclaim His name. You guys listen to too many pastors who preach select verses and don’t read the full Bible.

    Jesus came to earth to serve and humble Himself, demonstrating how we should serve others. One of the key moments illustrating this is when He washed the feet of His disciples. This act of washing their feet was a powerful symbol of humility and service. In John 13:14-15 (NIV), Jesus says:
    "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you."
    This passage emphasizes that no one is above another and that true greatness in the Kingdom of God is found in serving others with humility and love.

    I agree, ruslan. That's one of the biggest problems is that everyone is sorta worshipping these political structures and also playing God thinking man can fix every problem, including deaths. Which is absurd.
    Faith in God should be a priority. Bringing the lost souls to life-saving Gospel of christ to save souls should be the goal of christians. There is no better message than believe in christ!

    I personally have come to believe that the main issue is that to many pastors are in a position where they feel that they are there to please the people , and gain their approval of them, rather then selflessly loving and serving the church for the people’s sake. Essentially, they do what they do for themselves, even if they stack the chairs and serve amongst the people. It’s all about reputation and approval.

Its still the case today, I wonder how many catholics will tell Dallas only peter is the rock = pope. And how do we see this new season ?     The Gospel is an escapism mentality. "You can be forgive for whatever you do as long as you believe in Jesus." By doing this you escape all accountability for the things you've done no matter how bad they may be. But yet if someone doesn't believe then they get to burn and they could have done the same things or worse. There is no justice in that thinking. It basically gives believers a license to be some of the most immoral individuals on earth. Then they want to tell everyone else what is morally right when they can't even live up to it. Complete narcissism. That in its entirety why religion is a joke and it's not just Christianity.

    Friends, if you watch the “Chosen”: Read every scripture surrounding the context of what they portray.
    So much of that entertainment show is missing the REAL Jesus. Read the scriptures first, then during the show, then after.
    Actually, it is likely better just to read the Bible to really understand Jesus in reality.

      Completely disagree, I started reading the gospels, and then the show, it brought Jesus Completely to life for me like nothing else. It shows the human in Jesus, what it must have been like to follow and walk with him at that time. An incredible show. This makes the four Gospels make sense, and brings Jesus from the Gospels to life, like I've NEVER seen before. Incredible show. Go watch it everyone, 🙏✝️💚

    As the church I attend has become a megachurch, it's interesting because it has to operate as a well-oiled machine in order to run properly, but to me it's not the same as most megachurches because of the humility of our pastor. Sometimes you forget how renowned the church is as well as our pastor because he doesn't make a big deal out of it. He just casually sits at some of the biggest decision making tables in the faith world and keeps the perspective that God has given him the grace to do everything he does. I even remember one time he dropped in to an event that was happening, and he was standing up because there were no more chairs. He stood there for a good minute and I didn't think anyone noticed him standing there, so I went to offer him a chair, but he refused it because he didn't want to make himself more important than anyone else. (Also the chairs are very specific, if you take one out of the lobby for example but they've been designated for a certain purpose you could get in trouble lol! I was thinking they would make an exception for the pastor?) But he held himself to the same standards/rules/order that everyone else has to follow. That example has stuck with me and always reminds me not to be a "respecter of persons" and not to try to do something for someone just because they have a higher position.

      There is a tendency to blame this on the size of the church which is a mistake. Leaders of 100 member churches can be just as likely to fall. It all depends on the integrity of the pastor and the culture they instill in their church. I also attend a mega church that works really hard to keep Christ, His Word, and Holy Spirit as the front of the Church.
      When revival comes, our churches will be bigger than we can imagine.

    God bless the Pastor who still stacks the chairs! Not to take away from his servant heart, but he prays over each chair? The Holy Spirit is not like magic fairy dust. This is not a healthy/helpful discipleship practice; teaching the next generation of 20 year old leaders to pray over seats is a weak disconnect of who the Spirit is, and how they must view/relate to him> I’m sure this pastor is a better man than I with great intensions, and that The Spirit dwells in him. But the chair, it doesn’t need the Holy Spirit to serve its purpose 👍🏼

      He doesn't pray that the chair would be saved or blessed, but that the worshippers that will sit there will encounter the Lord.
      Also, in the Tabernacle and Temple in the Bible, all the items placed inside were sanctified by a blood sacrifice so that God's Holy Spirit would fill the place.

      @@dubaidoug5102 I respect the heart of the act; however I’d rather see the prayer directed toward the person themselves rather than the chair one sits on. Should I pray over each letter I type, that the Spirit will move more fervently as you read them? The door to your house before you invite your neighbour in?
      Life’s short, let our prayers be deliberate, not ritualistic.
      Yes, quite true God dwelled in the temple; but now he dwells in you, and in me; and I have no time to pray for the seat in which your inhabiting, instead I thank God for the redemptive Spirit well and truely at work in each of us. Bless you and thank you for your response :)

    The thing is, is that they were going to get to sit in His kingdom and judge the twelve tribes. It was the way they were asking that was wrong. But then again,any who have the Holy Spirit today, with our superficial relationship we have toward God, we would probably do the same or worse.

      Specifically to one side and the other of Jesus means a whole lot more than just sitting next to him though. They weren’t just asking to pull up a chair. They were asking for status and power.

      @@AMcDub0708 but that's the thing, He was going to give them power, but their hearts weren't right before they received the Holy Ghost. Peter even denied Jesus. But, after he had received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in the Spirit, he never ever forsook or denied Jesus. He even went so far as to not let himself be crucified as Jesus was.
