Good to see you at the show and nice to have this round up too. Was great to see EMS streaming to and from the show floor, they were all great! Knobcon is definitely much more chilled.
Awesome coverage, you hit a few places that I forgot to check out! I didn't say hey this year, but it was cool to see you jamming in the lobby! Cheers!
It was fantastic to get to see you again! Loved your performance, and it was great to hang out. Great video, and I hope to get to see you again next year if nothing else.
Was so nice meeting you! If you missed it, I had a room recording of the full Afternoon Abstract event. Not as good as the direct sound, but fun to hear the audience reacting.
@@SynthDad I shared it with a slideshow here, I can send you a link to the wav recording too ua-cam.com/video/2F3NbadzP5c/v-deo.htmlsi=VUO7vsqWFNWWWxMw
Steve (from DENKI OTO) is a super helpful guy. And the shieldXL is awesome! I can also vouch for his OMX-27, which is one of the best sequencers available. The OMX is great, super portable and by pairing with Norns and the M8 makes these devices even better to use (for people with a headless M8 like me, I'd say it's the best way to go).
If you get up and going with your streaming we'd love to do some visuals for it if you ever fancy that :) we get into all kinds of different video synth territories we make our own software instruments and mostly just like to experiment and make looks. we haven't been posting as much straight video synth work lately because we've been squirreling away pieces for an exhibit. Thanks for the video! I'm most excited about that shield XL. I got one of the Norns shields from monomer a while back and it is a super fun instrument.
How did you travel with your gear? What kind of cases are needed to protect your stuff? Did you get a chance to stop by the Toys That Make Noise booth? I have seen several videos that passed by it and I’ve seen a beige box that looks like a matrix synth. I have not been able to find anything about them online, their name doesn’t bring up anything.
I packed it in my checked luggage wrapped in a blanket. That always works fine for me, never had any issues. I've also carried on modular cases with no issue. I did see the Toys that Make Noise booth and they had a number of interesting synths at it; the Buchla Easel I showed in the video was one of them. I think they're a shop that sells these but I've never heard of them before
Go Earth Modular Society!!!!
Sad to have missed you while you were there! Hopefully we get to meet at some point!
@@BeniRoseMusic I thought I spotted you but was walking and the moment passed, but next time first sure! I’ll stay longer than one day too.

Was great seeing you too!
So great to meet you in person! Thanks for all the great Phaserville explainers you do!
Great recap! Really excited to get my hands on the Ectocore module and the Tidbits Audio utilities look extremely fun.
I think I brought home the most hype for Ectocore as well

Great review! It was good to see you and fun to perform that afternoon block with you. Cheers!
Thanks! You too - enjoyed your set as well!
Thanks for stopping by and the shout-out for shieldXL !
No problem 👍 Very intrigued by the whole Norns ecosystem and ShieldXL seems to be the best one to get these days
Excellent recap! It was great to meet you and so many other internet friends IRL ⚡
You too!! Great to meet after exchanging so many messages on discord

Great meeting you this year! I'm honored that my rig made it into your highlights! 😁✌️
Same here!
It was a fun show! It was awesome to meet you in person! It was my first show and first forray into modular, totally out of my depth, haha.

Thanks for stopping by the SynthRISE booth! Hoping we can have more time for a chat next year.
Yes definitely - I wanted to ask questions about the stand designs and options.

I want that Noise Engineering rig! that was my favorite booth!
“I was safely in bed by then.” Lol that’s funny!
And true too!
haha I got a good chuckle out of that, too 😆

Thank you for the offer - yes I will get streaming going once I figure out the right camera setup for it

Any word on when After Later Audio will be releasing more info on those pedals? Currently no mention of them on their socials.
No idea on that, Lenny was just showing them as prototypes at the show
COOL
What a wonderful convention of knobs 🎛😅
Yes it was! So...many...knobs...
