‘I think Coolsville Sucks’ has lived in my head rent free for 20 years 😂 I say it at least once a month
Same here haha😂
Lol I love that line 😂
Same here Dude, additionally "Right in the round tables" and "GET BACK HERE YOU BARBIE" have haunted me for these decades.
For me it was "Help me suckers"
@@Joyful_Traitor same! The one I quoted the most was the "So long suckers! Help me suckers!"
33:32 there’s a famous Spider-Man panel that sums this idea up:
Spider-Man: “You can rewrite DNA on the fly and you’re using it to turn people into dinosaurs? With tech like that you could cure cancer!”
Villain: “But I don’t want to cure cancer. I want to turn people into dinosaurs.”
"My brother in Christ why do you want people to be mad at us" 😂😂😂😂
19:15
I feel like i just watched a Scooby Doo 2 reaction and Alvin and the Chipmunks doing a podcast
I WAS JUST THINKING THIS! 😂😂
Fun fact: Velma actress who voiced Wendy in Gravity Falls
Really, that's interesting.
Also, Cj in regular show and Hotdog Water in Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated.
She's also Laura Barton/Hawkeyes wife in the Marvel movies
more fun facts, one of Velma's fans at the beginning of the film was one of the English Chi-Chi voices in Dragonball Z, Lisa Ann Beley, while the masked villain was voiced by the voice of Piccolo, Scott McNeil.
And she's the main character in Freaks and Geeks
36:56 No, Fred didn’t steal her moment. The first film was about him stealing credit for the news publicity, here they’re all working together to stop the villain and he just understood and agreed with her.
Right, The first movie he had become the face of the group and Velma wasn't getting the limelight to explain how she had come up with the answers to the mystery to the media. This instance was just Fred understanding and concurring with her idea, and showing that he's on the same wavelength as her.
To add to this, if anything, this is a pretty wholesome moment. Fred is understanding and Vibing with Velma. It shows they are friends, and he listens to her, and he's smarter than you might expect him to be. After having not seen this movie as an adult, I am noticing little things, and appreciating them more now than when I was young.
@@The0uts1der-1 I think it's one of the reasons people seem to have a lot more love for this movie than the first. The first had the gang fighting, breaking up, and needing to come back together, whereas in this you do really feel how much the five care about each other throughout and why they're all friends.
@@aros0018 Actually... That's a good point now that you mention it. I definitely rewatched this movie more than the first... and the Vibe definitely is better. Good point, dude!
Never understood or liked the tendency from 2000 onward to make Fred a trap-crazed moron. In the original series, he came up with clues and solutions as often as Velma. It would make sense that when they really got up and running that they'd be able to finish each other's sentences.
Occasionally I think they should look at other than the usual pairings. Way back in the early '70s, Fred and Shaggy decided to pair up when the gang did the inevitable "Let's split up!", just to be different. It was a disaster, but, hey, they tried!
23:27 “who’s your mommy?”
*WHAT THE FUCKKKK?* 😂😂😂
Velma can be my mommy 😂😂😂
This probably woken the "nerd girl" kink in too many guys 🤣🤣
That opening theme goes *HARD!* I love this movie better than the first, it feels more like a love letter to the whole franchise, turning all their previous foes costumes into real monsters.
This movie is a trip when you watch it 20 minutes after you take an edible. 😅
The first 4 minutes of this video is a trip with an edible.
Squeaky voice Boom arguing for a Kirsten Wigg to play Shaggy.
I've never seen any Scooby Doo live action sober.
I need to do this
It is James Gunn's writing, lol
What edible kicks in in 20 minutes
lmao the speed up but put to x2 speed in youtube player is even more chipmunk-y and I love it XD
The laughs were my favorite part, honestly lol
19:20 Boom was the epitome of Buffy's fanbase and I love it
This movie is iconic for having an online internet flash game where in the Egyptian themed level, you pry bared a coffin and hard to read text shows up and a screamer shows up, roars and laughs at your face. Good times!
Loved that game. It was on the Nickelodeon website, IIRC.
This just unlocked a memory. I remember screaming my ass off and my mom running to the room and banning me from using the computer😂
Omg I loved playing all the internet tie in games for the Scooby doo movies
4:37 slowing back down for that was perfect! Great work, Editor!
I audibly cackled at that one XD
Hearing yall laugh in chipmunk voices is the best part of the reaction
The fact that Velma did ALL that math only to kick the Black Knight Ghost in the crotch is hysterical. 😅😂🤣
Also, I love how Scooby was the big hero of the day by saving Mystery Inc from the Evil Masked Figure and his army of monsters.
For the Scooby dance, in the behind the scenes that came on the dvd, there was a real actress with a real disco costume but a motion capture headdress doing the scenes
0:40, If you play the video at 0.75x speed, you'll hear the Sorta Stupid gang talk at a normal pace but still sound like chipmunks (or inhaled helium, whichever is funnier).
Thank you for this I needed the laugh today 😂
I would love to see an animatic of this 😂
4:38 LOL I'm dying 😂
Thank you for the idea 😂
If you play it at half speed, it sounds like the Lollipop Guild in the middle of a bender
20:20 There actually is a reason movie 1 Daphnee was upset about being a damsel so whenthe team broke up she learned self defense which carries over to this movie. Fred on the other hand did none of that so it makes sense he isn't on Daphnee's level.
This movie is peak, it perfectly captures the vibes of classic scooby doo and adapts cartoon physics, logic and animation techniques into live action
In recent cartoons, the Mystery Machine has been rigged with gadgets like a Batmobile, one time it became a literal mech.
Matthew Lillard did an amazing job portraying Shaggy that he voiced Shaggy on other animated releases including Series after Casey Casem retired. By the way can you guys react to Scooby Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery?
I still can't get over how well they nailed the casting for the main characters 👏👌
Casting yes, writing is just disrespectful to everything scooby doo especially fred.
@lampad4549 I do agree about the writing
The Buffy thing from Ruff was HYSTERICAL🤣🤣
How have ALL THREE OF YOU AND NOT JUST RUFF not seen Buffy!?
Came for the Scooby-Doo 2 reaction, stayed for Boom simping for hot(ter) Velma. 🧡 💜
Waiting to watch this when I get home from work, but I just know it'll happen.
And what do ya know? I was correct lol. 💜
Weirdly, Velma in the latex suit has never done it for me. I am way more attracted to her in the skirt and orange sweater.
@aros0018 Fair enough, Billy.
"This is the most 2000s thing ever"
Yep. It's WAY up there.
I love that shaggy is dressed like a blunt. 8:09
24:34 This scene will rent free in my head until the day I die
"Everyone part like the Red Sea! It's me” is such an amazing bar and I will hear nothing that suggests otherwise
I love that all the monsters of this movie were the monsters they defeated in the original old series, when I first saw this movie I was like "wait I remember this guys" and them I rewatched the whole series again just for fun, its always good
I know right? The nostalgia hit hard with this. The only one that wasn't from the original show was The Cotton Candy Glob. This could of been a reference to the tar monster episode where they go to a carnival and cover him in cotton candy though. Regardless I loved the gag. Finally a monster they could EAT. 😂
@ShadowDemon_4 yeah! I remember whatching that one show with the gang beeing kids and went to the Scooby Snacks fabric, I remember Scooby jumping on the monster when he realized that he was just a big Scooby Snack mass
23:24 This is now Boom's favourite movie.
I quote “help me suckers!” An unhealthy amount of
45:43 A monster especially for Shaggy and Scooby.
23:18 And then... something inside me just SNAPPED
Linda Cardellini's Velma planted something in me when I watched this as a child and only now do I realize the effect it had.
I DIDN'T CARE ANYMORE!!!
🤣
This is one of those movies you just gotta turn your brain off and enjoy it. Also Fred jousting with the black night with dead or alive in the background is like the canon event for my music tastes, my favorite scene in the movie hands down.
Look Daphne being a girl boss and badass was set up well in the first movie, so nobody has a problem with it. She was tired of being the Damsel, got training, became the badass of the group.
The fact I keep skipping to see how long the speedup was. I love you guys 😂
Who doesn't love buff Shaggy?
Or Fem Shaggy 😂
@artsysabs that to
I need more of the arguments and conversations sped up with the high voices, that was so funny especially when you guys laugh😂 it sounds like South Park kids doing a podcast😭😭
23:20 I remember watching this as a kid and was so confused by the jokes in this scene (I also never understood why she changed into a latex suit).
I saw this in the theaters with a couple of friends when it came out, and it's absolutely a fever dream. It also plays out sort of like a prequel, since they're back in Coolsville with all of the original villains.
2:01 "iTs PrOnOuNcEd 'ZEN DAY UH', UgH tHe FaCt PeOpLe StIlL dOnT kNoW tHaT Is FrAnKlY dIsGuStInG. 💅 " 😂😂
Actual comment: this movie was one of my favorites growing up, the GCI I'd bad lime sharkboy and lava girl GCI is bad and it's kinda fantastic imo 😂
P.s yall should totally watch shark boy and lava girl lmfao you'd have know idea what was happening but still have a blast, a confusing blast bit a blast nonetheless
Edit: these 3 sped up are like the chipmunks if they ate edibles
Not the fact, shaggy’s dressed like a blunt
I love Scooby doo movies it’s so good especially this one
I got so used to the chipmunk voices with the rant that I thought when it went back to regular speed, it was over corrected and pitched down.
16:43 Already have the lineup for the gang
Eric is Fred
Bree is Velma
Ruff is Shaggy
and Sean is Scooby
It’s perfect
(There’s no one for Daphne so she’s out)
I think the only clear candidate for Daphne is Billy 😂
@@Guendison GENIUS!!!
I cannot tell you how many times I replayed my old DVD of this...3rd place in the most replayed movie in my childhood, followed by 2nd place: The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie and Gremlins 2 as 1st.
The placement was how often I rewatched it lol. 💚 💛 🤎 🖤
sean helium voice pants sped up is wut i dream about at night 🤣
23:22 What in the Austin Powers?!
Right in front of Scotty!
God I watched this movie so much as a kid. I loved the Mountain Slide and the Fire Extinguisher fight
23:37 I'm with you on that Boom lol
I remember as a young man watching this and seeing Velma in the Latex suit on hoy I couldn't look away until the scene was over then I had a horny teen crush on Velma for a few years lol
Happy 20th anniversary to 'Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed'!!
Also, thank you, Sorta Stupid, for that 'Twilight Saga' movie marathon. I'm SO sorry for falling asleep midway in your coverage of 'Breaking Dawn: Part 2'.
As for the milkshake, that was a Burger King ad in the U.S. version. Other countries got the scene with Scooby-Doo sipping from a KFC cup. For the dogs, upon Scooby walking to meet them, they had subtitles for their barks. 1 said something like 'I want you to be my chew toy.'
I was hoping someone would post today thankfully it's my favorite channel it's my birthday and I'm happy y'all decided to watch my favorite Scooby Doo movie like it's bad but absolutely hilarious
🎂
BOOM 4:39 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just randomly lmfao that took me out
Speaking as a woman on the girl boss argument, one who loves girl bosses when done right, I'm of the opinion that Hollywood thinks that's all you need to make a woman a great character because the trope has been done so much.
Daphne and Buffy for instance are actual people even if they weren't girl bosses. Wonder Woman with Gal Gadot has a personality even though she's practically perfect (she is compassionate and driven and stands up for what she believes in, almost to a naive degree). Every single female character on Agents of Shield is a badass in their own right, moreso than the guys in some cases, but I'm just as interested watching them in a conversation as in an action scene.
Mulan in the remake has next to no character if you take her being a badass warrior out of the mix. Rey started with some personality but basically just became overpowered without having to develop as a character. Captain Marvel I believe had potential to be an interesting character but the studio wanted to push her as the next leader of the Avengers before her character had been developed.
So I don't think the issue is that people are sexist towards girl bosses overall, though there is certainly that. I'm not going to act like there aren't sexist trolls behind a lot of these deals. But I do think that Hollywood isn't putting in enough work to convince me that said girl bosses are actual characters and not just stand ins written to checkoff a requirement
Oh we’re definitely not gunna pretend it doesn’t happen. We’re more referring to the fact that people flip out the second they see any woman in a movie. Regardless of any information about the movie
We see it a ton it’s pretty much every single piece of media at this point. If a woman is the main character it’s a problem for a large amount of people
That’s the type of people we’re talking about. Not someone like you who’s bringing up valid concerns and criticism 😁
0:43 rough was laughing like a minion and 0:45 every single one of the guys were talking like Fred😂😂😂😂
Growing up we didn’t own the first one, but we owned this one and I watched it soooooo much. Some of the monsters scared me, but the tar monster terrified me. The idea of him suffocating me kept me up at night
I just found both live action movies on DVD a day ago. This is definitely my favorite of the 2
"Literally 'Scooby's head on a stick' that they were talking to"...
Oldest trick on the book for live action/animation movies. Have you never watched "Who framed Roger Rabbit"? "Space Jam"? "Looney Tunes, Back in action"?
I’m honestly surprised yall didn’t put Sexy Shaggy in the thumbnail lmao
I will say I watch you guys because you're the only reactors I've seen that don't annoy me or rely on cheap gimmicks. Love you guys, love you Billy!
The "So long suckers!" "Help me suckers!" Cracked me up as a kid
Boom’s reaction to super hot Velma is the best part I laughed so hard I couldn’t breathe.😂
The ridiculousness of this movie is as timeless as it is iconic 💚🤣
Movie starts at 5:45
That Chipmunk went on waaaaay too long, sometimes the guys think they're funnier than they are
@@Rexanornah I laughed when it went to regular voice “I love thicc …”
35:37 caught me off guard👏😂
Matthew Lillard going from Shaggy to William Afton was a crazy reveal
The stunned “she is… she is Buffy,” is the sorta stupid content I look forward to
Im so happy you guys finally watched this. I own the first and second movie on DVD and I love watching them so much!
I really hope you guys react to all the animated scooby-doo movies like monster of mexico, camp scare, stage fright, etc. I know you guys will LOVE Scooby-Doo Camp Scare.
Daphne also spent the whole offscreen time of movie one learning martial arts so she wouldn’t be a damsel in distress anymore, one reason why she wanted to leave the Scooby Gang.
Fun fact: On the DVD for this movie, there was actually a little game you could play in the Extras section. From what I remember, admittingly not a lot, you basically went to each of the suits in the Museum and each had their own section with a little minigame.
Scoobynaturual is probably one of my favorite Scooby-Doo projects.
16:53: Sean's talking about Knives Out, where Ana de Armas played a house nurse. Her wardrobe was very subdued and comfy, which had the paradoxical effect of making her look hotter
"We're gonna die!"
"Think positive"
"We're gonna die quickly"
I love Shaggy
Nah that whole 7 minute tangent in the intro was legit the funniest thing i’ve seen today!
“This is tied for the most terrifying day of my life!”
“Tied with what?”
“Every other FREAKING day of my life”
😂 probably one of my favorite parts
46:42 By the Power of Shaggy
This movie is my favorite as a kid.
I remember every one of these monsters from the old cartoons. Scooby Doo is one of the best things ever created.
35:03 yep there is, and also a DS game based off the movie which i loved to play growing up
Glad Ruff is here for this one! These movies are classics
This movie is outrageous, but that’s what makes it brainless fun. It’s meant to be goofy, stupid fun 😂
I love you guys man as a fellow stoner sick of world changes. Ya'll got a sick setup and sense of humour. Never change boahs!
its so weird that a majority of the villains in scooby doo are people pretending to be monsters, but like actual monsters still exist in their universe.
The first minute with the squeaky voices got me!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Awwwww I can't believe you didn't have the subtitles for the
dogs woof woof: sign my bowl, sniff my butt
so like every computer consultant for movies have been trying to get the dumbest hacking scene and it just makes me happy that its a choice and not a lack of knowledge
you guys should watch some of the cartoons mini movies! there’s one where shaggy gets turned into a werewolf and there’s like monster car race?? and one where shaggy and scooby go to like a ghoul elementary school
Ruff: "was she in buffy?" followed by sean and eric's slow descent into madness
"I Tried to Dropkick Lightning" sounds like the name of a platinum record or a best selling book or memoir.
turning the speed off for 4:37 was GOLDEN
It is always good to see more people realize the cinematic masterpiece of this film, really of the potion scene itself.
This film was my childhood, I was always freaked out by the first film as a kid but I watched this so many times I've lost count. The DVD had this cool hidden easter egg that was a series of reports of a fake journalist inverstigating the set of the film trying to solve the mystery of a pair of Matt Lillard's pants that had been stolen.
As some one who can watch things several times over w/o getting tired of them, I watched this 3-4 times a month as a kid. Still go back to it every so often these days
This was and still is my favorite live action Scooby-Doo movie
Something interesting about these movies is it feels like they were released in reverse. This movie feels like it should of been first then the other one.
Noooooo do I wait till I'm off work or watch it at work 🤣🤣🤣
Sean’s reaction to “I’m not hot” is sending me 😭
I love you guys 💕 😂😂 always watching the classics from my childhood this Billy loves your reactions (waves from across the pond)
Starting off with Sean’s Scooby Doo rendition has me in the right headspace for this video lmao
