Gigabyte aero 15x is the best purchased laptop i made , it have a good battery life around 8 hours of use. the build quality is the best out there , the things i like the most is the xrite pantone that give a colour accurate display . i would highly recommend this laptop to my friends :)
AQW andrew looks not so bad. Would you suggest me the Acer Predator Helios 300? I7 8geb, 2016, ? This Aero looks great but it'd very expensive. Where I live I might be laying around 2500 USD per the 1080 p and ,1060 version.
Nice! I was definitely considering the XPS 15, but I like to play games so the 144hz display and GTX 1070 Max-Q is going to be amazing. Don't get me wrong, you can definitely still do some gaming on the XPS 15 though. :)
Oh, I see! I really like the fingerprint sensor option that the XPS 15 has though. That's the only feature that I really like on the XPS that the Aero 15X doesn't have. :P
Might not necessarily be an issue for other people but what I don't really like about the Aero is the numeric pad. Might be one of the reasons why Dave had a problem with the keyboard in the beginning.
Writing this from my 2018 Aero 15x with 32gb ram and 1tb nvme SSD: A few months ago I've watched the same review from Dave but of the 2018 version, decided to buy it. The laptop is a beast for gaming and performance no doubt about that but it does have its issues. First one is that the hard edge between the trackpad and the space bar presses against the screen when closed and in a backpack. This makes it scratch the screen slightly and I even noticed a brightness drop along the line it presses against (you just see a slightly darker bar in the middle of the screen). The second issue is that I received it with a broken "I" key which pops out every time I press it and I have press it again so it pops back into place. The third issue is that I upgraded the 500gb SSD with another one from Samsung. It worked fine for a while until the original one started not being recognized and so now I only use my new SSD. The speakers are pretty bad but it's not a production problem. All these issues are pretty unfortunate for a laptop that cost me around $3000 (Ordered from Amazon and imported it to my country via 3rd party shipping company). Yes, I can get them fixed if I ship it back to Gigabyte but it's more time and money I need to waste now. I do recommend this laptop though, I just hope you won't encounter the issues I'm dealing with.
As someone who got the last gen Aero 14 w/ 1060 after watching, among others, your review, there's things about Gigabyte's laptops that I really wish you'd start pointing out: 1) There's no physical light for the caps lock key. Seriously, I've never seen a laptop without a caps lock indicator before and yet here we are. 2) The build quality is pretty bad. The plastic around the hinge is really loose and feels and sounds like it's about to come off, and the rubber feet on my unit fell off within two weeks. 3) Components fail. The fan in mine broke within a year and I had to RMA it to get it fixed because neither Gigabyte nor the company that supplies Gigabyte's fans offer to sell the components separately, which leads to 4) The RMA process sucks. This isn't really that unique among gaming laptops from non-Dell / HP companies, but the point stands. Despite their two year warranty, I had to pay for shipping, it took over three weeks, and when it arrived back, the WiFi card had rattled out of place in shipping which meant WiFi didn't work and I had to manually open the computer up myself to fix it, and this is not an edge case because 5) Gigabyte doesn't know how to package computers properly. The first Aero 14 I ordered arrived with a cracked screen because the cardboard box they shipped it in was clearly insufficient to protect it from shipping damage. Cue another 2 month replacement process. 6) The bloatware is excessive. You can uninstall all of it, except there's a neat option to adjust the fan speed in their software that you lose if you uninstall it (and you definitely want to uninstall it because their software adds an unbelievably ugly on screen overlay for volume and brightness adjustments on top of what Windows already shows and it's terrible) 7) They're not going to update the track pad. Get used to the skipping. To be entirely clear, I don't regret the laptop purchase. If you want a very powerful computer with a large battery that's relatively thin and light, there really aren't that many choices. The Aero line is your best if not your only option. To that end, my laptop has served me well, and I think for a specific group of people, myself included, it definitely does the job. I just feel the need to add these caveats for anyone looking to purchase one so that you hopefully find out about these issues before, not after, the purchase.
So the GS65 comes with poor build quality and poor thermal performance, the Blade 15 comes with a high price tag and horrid quality control, and now the 15x comes with these issues? Fuck. If I’m going to spend $2000+ dollars on a laptop, I shouldn’t have all these goddamn issues.
I'm starting to feel like these laptops all have generously good QC and build quality, but we would get comments on bad quality due to chance variations anyways... (Literally every laptop I have searched has reportedly bad quality control in some posts.)
I've seen this video about 15 times, today I finally pulled the trigger (actually on a 15w v8 but whatever). Thanks Dave, for helping me choose the laptop that better suit my needs.
You mention that you didn't need the 4k because color accuracy is more important than pixel count for you, but their 4k screen is X-Rite Pantone Certified with 100% Adobe RGB
Hi Dave, after much research, your video helped me decide on the Aero X15. I have been using it for work and play for only about 1 week now and absolutely love it. I have been using Macs exclusively for my design work and although I do still love some of the apps in the eco system, the non-gaming issue, and some essential programs that I needed made me decide to get a windows system again. (I have been struggling with bootcamps, parallels and its just been too much hassle) I ended up getting the UHD screen version as its more helpful for my work and its been a nice transition so far. The only slight complain I have is the fan does get quite loud for me and I need to turn it down when I work at night if without headphones. Anyways, a long winded comment, but I mainly wanted to thank you for your excellent review!
For whoever is considering buying this laptop, please do not. I bought the Aero 15x v8 and the thermals are extremely poor, my mobo is fried after only one year, tech support from Gigabyte is trash and I will make it my own personal mission to share this information with as many people as I can. Save your 2k dollars and invest them in another machine, THIS IS NOT IT. You're welcome and please upvote.
@@arzeey yeah, put the pads in the gpu sinks, undervolted and repasted with kryonaught. Still, its a poor design if you think you ought to do that after paying such a high premium for a product.
OK guys, I felt I need to respond, after almost half a year, and two times having to ship the laptop over to CA, (about 60 bucks each time). They have returned it fixed, so they did stand behind their warranty if anyone is interested in my case. Thanks for liking. (in the meantime I had to buy another desktop basically for work and gaming.)
I think it's been said here before or idk. I really love the way you review technology. No BS, straight to the point, and just awesome visuals. And plus your intros are just so damn awesome. Keep up the awesome work my dude 👍
I'm just glad you mentioned creators. Always every laptop review or PC build seems to be targeted at budget buyers or gamers with little or no mention of photo or video editing...
May the Science be with You Right? It never fails. I've adopted the mindset there's always going to be upgraded hardware no matter when you buy...still sucks when it happens though.
I have the original Aero 15 (1060). It is by far the best laptop I have EVER touched. As someone who's work ranges from writing technical papers, to video editing, to programming, I can say this laptop does it all. The screen brings new life to Netflix and UA-cam, the keyboard feels great after typing for an hour, and the GPU kicks ass. The one pet peeve I have is the front of the laptop with the Gigabyte logo gets dented really easy. After a year my laptop looks like a beaten copper pot, although you can only see the dents from an angle. I rate 10/10 without hesitation.
I got the Aero 15 three weeks ago and I sent it back for a keyboard issue but it was a wonderful machine. The new design of the Msi looks really nice with same specs and less pricing... I'm waiting for other reviews.
Dave your videos are awesome. 3/4 way through this video I started googling the MSI to compare and then I look back and you pull out the MSI to compare. Brilliant. Always know exactly what people want and need to know!
Hi David, a key piece of information I think you should include in the review which you have missed out. You mentiond that the screen is 144hz but does not have G-Sync. I think potential purchasers should be aware that Nvidia Optimus is NOT competiable with G-Sync. Having G-Sync forces the GPU to be always on, which will mean that even when you are not doing anything intensive on the laptop, your battery will die flat out in 1-2 hours. Intel integrated gpu's are not compatible with G-Sync. So I think it is a great thing that this laptop does NOT have G-Sync. It makes the laptop far more versatile.
Great review! I preordered this laptop from New Egg a few days ago and I’m stoked to hear your review is spot on with what I hoped for it. Thanks and keep up the great work.
please make a review on thermals on the 2018 i9 Macbook Pro, comparing it to the 15x which is the same weight with much more features. I guess it will throttle to computational inexistence to maintain less than 100C and will burn mobo every 2 years (if not less), like older macbooks under heavy use.
Dave Lee, I don't even bother waiting any more. I press the like button BEFORE I press play. I just know your videos are going to be clean and beautiful just like your desk setup.
Hey Dave, I am Asking about the screen bleed, is it that bad as some people say???!!!, I am planning to order it and ship it from USA to the middle east, I don't wanna be shocked!
im getting pretty annoyed...i keep coming back to this video, but i can't find anyone that has objectively tested the 4k screen on the Aero 15x, XPS 9570 or Razer Blade 15. how much longer do i have to wait ;-; i wish i could go back to using a 1080p screen on a 15.6 in screen, but i just can't. 3.5 years of the Panasonic 3k panel on my GS60 has spoiled me.
I have the aero 15x with 4k display and it is the Real deal. I haven't tested how color accurate the screen actually is, but to my eyes it seems EXTREMELY color accurate. There also is a review of the 4k model on Jarrodtech's channel.
I am probably late but I went from a Dell XPS 13 3200x1800 to a Razer Blade 15 1080p after I got into gaming and honestly it's not that big of a difference. At first, you'll notice it, but after like one week the display looked awesome. The 1080p screen also means really good battery life and lower price which honestly means a lot more to me.
Hi Dave - great review - do you think the 1080 panel is as useful as the 4k panel for content creation? The choice between the 1080 and 4k I think is difficult. Thanks
HELP! This laptop is hitting the specs that I want just not the price. I'm trying to stay in the 1000-1400 range. I know I'll have to compromise bc I want something budget but I need something for video editing and gaming. Suggestions???
Hi!:D how are your thermals?? I saw in Dave's video it only got to about 80 degrees Celsius. I'm confused because my aero 15x easily gets to 93 degrees while gaming thus thermal throttling. I was wondering if you have the same thermals as i do. Thanks in advanced for your reply!:D
One month, you say... can you tell me a bit more, please, about battery details? Like how much time can you use the laptop for working without charging it, and how much time just playing games? The second/third question I would like to ask you, is about fan noise, and temperatures. Is the fan noise annoying all the time? Too loud even idle? Extremely loud while playing? And what about the computer going too hot while playing games? Can you feel it through your hands while they are over the keyboard? I'm seriously thinking about letting Apple apart after 20 years with MacBooks Pro... and use one of this Aero 15X for CGI, real time rendering, 3D Modelling and photorealism (oh yeah, and serious games too!). What do you think about it, after one month???
I dont play games on it while its not plugged in because it doesnt use the graphics cards if unplugged. Im sure theres a way to turn that setting off but i just havent done so. but without gaming im able to get 8-10sh so hours. Fan noise doesnt bother me at all but at idle its very subtle. Thermal wise, i play some pubg, after a while it can get hot over the power button area, not so much over the keyboard. Less demanding games like dota and league doesnt seem to affect thermals as much for me. Overall, im very satisfied with this laptop, if theres one thing i can say just to be nit-picky is that the keyboard does seem a little crammed and can get some time getting used too. Hope that answers ur question!
The 4K panel has %100 Adobe RGB according to their web site, u r right but I don't think it is actually %100 ARGB, a little overstatement there in my opinion but %100 SRGB for sure, even their 1080p panel almost has that so...It has %88 Adobe RGB according to some display tests, I just checked out.
Thank you for this review. It helped my finally decide which laptop to get. I have had it a few weeks and I am really happy with it. Only downside for me is the power brick. The cable seems to bend at a strange angle and the built in usb socket is not great. Quite loose - so if charging my phone it goes on and off of charge. Really enjoy your videos and I always watch just because they are interesting.
Thanks for making a video on this laptop. I've been looking for a mobile gaming rig for almost 4 years. My last laptop was the alienware m11x. I had that laptop for years loved the battery life, but as with any laptop they don't play video games well unplugged, well not AAA games. Laptops don't have the voltage to push out the frames like it can plugged in. I love the new Aero 15x and MSI GS65, they are laptops that can game, I bet though we will be hearing a lot of complaints about hot laptops or thermal throttling with those two. I think if your really looking for something you can carry with you to another location then game the Asus wins. If your looking for a laptop that can edit videos or watch movies then go with the other 2 good choices. If your buying a "gaming laptop" then your going to need a plug no way around it. The Asus is a gaming laptop. It's not trying to be a compromise. It has the best gaming screen, it has the best GPU, it has the best thermal dissipation. I hate the "evil eye" though, come on Asus you really need to drop the eye thing most 12 year old kids don't have $2200 buck to buy a top end laptop. Even with the eye on the lid I still bought this out of the three, although it was a really tough choice. Keep making great videos Dave!
Both the Zephyrus M and MSI GS65 look gorgeous, this looks like it's from 1995, a tacky piece of shit. What a laptop looks doesn't really bother but if you are spending $2000 + I want it to look like I spent that much.
This gave me an abswer from your last video about video editing. But still waiting to DELL 9570 to be released, to see final specifications, then to chose one of these two. Thanks Dave for keep us updated 😊
Never CLICKED A VIDEO THIS FAST! DAVE DAVE DAVE PLZ review MSI Gl62M 7Rex the Cheap Model!.. it's under 950$.. 1050ti graphics.. i7 7700hq.. 8gb ram.. it's a DEAL breaker I'd love to see a Review on it :)
원상준 have you had any issues with it? I have heard the 15X has problems with its keyboard and fans? Also have you ever used Gigabytes customer service? Thanks
thanks Dave 2 Dee was a good review liked how you steered it to creators and not gaming. awesome work as always should do more reviews for creators please thanks mate
6:28 Great comparison. However the MSRP of GS65 is not as sweet as you check more carefully. For $1800 GS65 you get only 256GB SSD, while for $2000 Aero15X you get 512GB SSD! Speaking of fair play, I believe Aero15X is even a little better than GS65 if we keep all configurations exactly the same.
That brightness is a real bummer! I went from a 2012 macbook pro to the msi gs65 thinking 5 year upgrade, don't need to worry about screen brightness! Whoops! Nice you're informing folks, definitely need more awareness of this problem (I've still not got used to it).
Honestly I say it light years ahead of a MacBook. Mac book cost just as much as top of the line aero but with weak hardware an can only barely do half the shit. Now the xps is competition with the 1050 cards more ports good battery light an actually upgradable as well as you can play some mid tier games. Mac books are just shit
4:56 we are going to use headphones xD 5:11 we are going to use a gaming keyborard xD 5:30 we are going to use a gaming mouse xD 5:48 we are going to use a external Webcam xD
Yeah well, I don't see the point of buying a laptop if you need external peripherals to use it all the time. I get headphones and a mouse when gaming, even on-the-go, but I'm not carrying an external keyboard everywhere to type work related stuff nor I see the point on bringing a webcam everyday to the office.
Can't wait for your review on the XPS 15 with the 8th gen processor. Please if you would in the XPS 15 video, do a quick comparison between the two, just in terms of build quality, screen brightness/quality, battery life, and trackpad! Thanks!
If I could ever have a game laptop my dream since 9years will be finally true, if I was you, I would be so extremely blessed to get all these laptops with great specs. Your videos are just so great I really like them
Black Panther it’s really not that expensive. From what I see in the comments the majority of Dave’s audience seems to be teens without jobs, or people who work at Walmart. It’s a one time purchase, and spending $2000 once every few years is not beyond anyone who has a reasonable job
It doesn't matter where the companies are from. If you want that combo of features seen here, it's not gonna be cheap. If you want to sacrifice a few elements like build quality, battery life, bezels, and some other things, you can get the price substantially down. The cheapest 8750H with 1070 max-Q I can think of is some configuration of the Clevo P950ER (Sager sells it as NP8851). It's a good $1529 if that's your main requirement. It's no Aero 15X or GS65 but it's a good bang for the buck if that's what you're going for, and to be honest it's not like it's a piece of crap either, it's a pretty good laptop.
your reviews are super!!!keep going like this!i am from Greece and I watch all your videos.i take Lenovo ideapad y700 15" its very good for games and movies.keep going your work!!!
Yeah, but you also have to account that it can be taken anywhere with 7.5 hours of battery life and 2kgs of weight. Also you've gotta buy yourseslf a display as good as here, shouldn't be neglected as well
I have the Aero15 2017 and its a beauty of a laptop. I'll wait for the 2019 version to upgrade. Love the design as it doesn't look like a gaming laptop with LEDs everywhere and tacky colours.
A small remainder for those who are interested, there are some problem in the RGB light in the previous model and from the video, seems that gigabyte haven't fixed them at all !!! As you may notice, some of the RGB light are not lighting or off-centered (i.e. left shift, \, number pad enter)
4:05 Dave may I ask you what's that external drive? An external SSD or what? I'm asking because I'm still trying to understand UA-camr's (like you) worlflow. Having to work with different machines all the time needs a bit of setup and since I'm starting to do all my photo and video work on three different computers I wonder what the best option is to edit both on any of my computers just by plugging in a drive. Does it require a lot of configuration? For now I'm using Capture One for photo editing and Premiere/Resolve for video but there's all the catalogues and reference media stuff that confuses me
Thanks for the comparison between Aero 15x and MSI GS65! It's been very helpful. I've actually been thinking about buying a gaming laptop up to £1000 (whatever runs Witcher 3) to finally replace my ASUS N53SV which served me well for so many years. But... I couldn't find ANYTHING that doesn't look like shit and/or doesn't have any red elements on it at that price. Ok, Dell G-series all look not hideous, but still - not very nice. Then I looked at Dell XPS 15 - which seemed to me perfect until I noticed it's 15 inch. I'm afraid that changing from 15.6 might be quite a shock for me and significant decrease in gaming experience. I'd be glad to here about other people's experiences with gaming on 15 inch monitor. Then I checked out ASUS ROG Strix GL503 - with which I'd be 100% satisfied if... it hadn't a glimmering red logo. Which looks like white on many pictures so that deceived me. Finally I turned my attention to Aero 15x, and then - thanks to this video - to MSI GS65. Well, MSI is the best looking gaming laptop I've seen so far. Ok, maybe that's not a compliment, because up to that price it hasn't got any considerable competitors (aside from the models I mentioned). :) Anyway, it just looks classy and professional. The only thing I don't like is the font on keyboard keys which still has this horrible gaming-aesthetic feel. But it is my definite favourite. Ok, the post got a little longer than I wanted. Basically, I'd like to ask for comments in those two matters: 1) What is your gaming experience using 15" laptop? Is the difference between 15" and 15.6" as huge as it seems? Did you adapt easily/at all? 2) Does buying a laptop with 512 SSD only makes any sense? Both MSI GS65 and Aero 15x have a max o 512 GB SSD and no HDD slot. (And for this version of MSI you pay extra 400 quid, because you get better graphics and more RAM too). I'm quite of a hoarder, but still even if I limit myself: it's 100 GB for Windows and enough free space for it to work smoothly. 10 GB for basic software and drivers. 10 GB for the most important files. 50 GB for photos and this number grows exponentially. 100 GB for music (which is far too little already). That leaves 500 - 270 = 130 GB. That's what, two modern games? Frankly, is there anyone that has 512 GB SSD and doesn't feel constantly in need of more space? Thank you if you managed to get the end of this post and took time to reply!
Those are my two best laptops choices for 3D architecture modelling/rendering. A bit high cost, but you have all with them... and I agree with you, I prefer the Aero.
The squished keyboard is just because they wanted to include a number pad on a 15" laptop.. that's an essential feature for me personally, so I'd happily take the squished keys over not being able to efficiently type numbers. Doing any kind of data entry with the horizontal number row is a major pain in the ass. Not everyone needs it, but I certainly do.
oh man I recently bought the Aero which has been an amazing product but now that they've released an even better version of it, I hope they allow for their customers to upgrade in the future
Good day Dave! We can't wait (our family) till you review the new line of the dell G series especially the G5 & G7 which is the replacement of their 7000 gaming series.
Why are your videos so relaxing?

Gigabyte aero 15x is the best purchased laptop i made , it have a good battery life around 8 hours of use. the build quality is the best out there , the things i like the most is the xrite pantone that give a colour accurate display . i would highly recommend this laptop to my friends :)

Great video! This currently the laptop that I'm planning to get, however I don't have the budget LOL
For me it's either gonna be this one or the new XPS 15 9570, will have to wait until the first reviews come out ^^
Nice! I was definitely considering the XPS 15, but I like to play games so the 144hz display and GTX 1070 Max-Q is going to be amazing. Don't get me wrong, you can definitely still do some gaming on the XPS 15 though. :)
No I get that, I'll probably only use it for light gaming anyway so the XPS will get the job done in my case
Writing this from my 2018 Aero 15x with 32gb ram and 1tb nvme SSD:
A few months ago I've watched the same review from Dave but of the 2018 version, decided to buy it.
I find your review enlightening. Thanks.
As someone who got the last gen Aero 14 w/ 1060 after watching, among others, your review, there's things about Gigabyte's laptops that I really wish you'd start pointing out:
1) There's no physical light for the caps lock key.
The fan in mine broke within a year and I had to RMA it to get it fixed because neither Gigabyte nor the company that supplies Gigabyte's fans offer to sell the components separately, which leads to
4) The RMA process sucks. This isn't really that unique among gaming laptops from non-Dell / HP companies, but the point stands. Despite their two year warranty, I had to pay for shipping, it took over three weeks, and when it arrived back, the WiFi card had rattled out of place in shipping which meant WiFi didn't work and I had to manually open the computer up myself to fix it, and this is not an edge case because
5) Gigabyte doesn't know how to package computers properly. The first Aero 14 I ordered arrived with a cracked screen because the cardboard box they shipped it in was clearly insufficient to protect it from shipping damage. Cue another 2 month replacement process.
6) The bloatware is excessive. You can uninstall all of it, except there's a neat option to adjust the fan speed in their software that you lose if you uninstall it (and you definitely want to uninstall it because their software adds an unbelievably ugly on screen overlay for volume and brightness adjustments on top of what Windows already shows and it's terrible)
7) They're not going to update the track pad.
Nate S i think the thermals in the gs65 are better than in the aero 15x
Ron Not from what I’ve read.
I'm starting to feel like these laptops all have generously good QC and build quality, but we would get comments on bad quality due to chance variations anyways... (Literally every laptop I have searched has reportedly bad quality control in some posts.)
Eric Wu Exactly. You just have to find the laptops with the least posts.
I've seen this video about 15 times, today I finally pulled the trigger (actually on a 15w v8 but whatever).
Thanks Dave, for helping me choose the laptop that better suit my needs.
Awesome review, dell xps 15 9570 NEXT PLEASE :))
Also those new G Series. Those blue and white combination for the G7 look interesting; can't wait for Dave's reaction.
4:30 go to BIOS settings and turn off the Always Fan On section. Thats all you have to do to cancel fan noise when idle in low temps.
Should include the battery time in the comparison... The aero is the first usable gaming laptop without needing a power cord IMHO
3:20 I've heard from many that the legal limit is 160WHr batteries. Also there's a phone with nearly double the capacity (12K mAH)
You mention that you didn't need the 4k because color accuracy is more important than pixel count for you, but their 4k screen is X-Rite Pantone Certified with 100% Adobe RGB
I just pre-ordered this, can't wait!
That nose pick got me lmao
Wow I'm early ty notifications. Keep up the great work Dave Lee!
I love how you compared to two computers. Helps us make a more informed decision.
There are multiple fixes out there if you're really invested in longevity. Undervolting, repasting or just applying more cooling pads. Free or
@@arzeey yeah, put the pads in the gpu sinks, undervolted and repasted with kryonaught.
Been waiting for this, and finally.... Thank you Dave!
This year is going to be amazing for gaming laptops!
these laptops should have arrived last year already, with 11xx series gpu. The computer industry is getting lazy.
I think it's been said here before or idk. I really love the way you review technology. No BS, straight to the point, and just awesome visuals. And plus your intros are just so damn awesome. Keep up the awesome work my dude 👍
That nose pick though... ☝️
haha
Just take a minute to shave the nostrils, problem half-solved! :D
Time link?
@5:50 🤧
lol
I'm just glad you mentioned creators. Always every laptop review or PC build seems to be targeted at budget buyers or gamers with little or no mention of photo or video editing...
Loved the comparison as I'm getting ready to purchase one of those bad boys but have been on the fence. Thanks for the vid!
I get the feeling that the moment I buy one of these, Nvidia will announce their 11xx series GPU.
The choice will be difficult between the MSI GS65 and the Gigabyte Aero 15X...
tidiablo974 agreed
Not really I think lol
Same boat here bro. I leaning more towards the msi. New and more mature design
tidiablo974 q
I got the Aero 15 three weeks ago and I sent it back for a keyboard issue but it was a wonderful machine. The new design of the Msi looks really nice with same specs and less pricing... I'm waiting for other reviews.
Love your videos bro. Very informative in the best way. Instant like irrespective of the contents .
Finally!🙌🙌🙌
The video I've been waiting for, Dave. And as usual, spot on, unbiased and unmatched in review...😍😍😍👌👌👌
Elias Dzansi There is no such as thing as unbiased. But i agree with everything else
Random Dud3 hahaha♥! Glad you got my import!
I have no IDEA
I have no IDEA
Great review! I preordered this laptop from New Egg a few days ago and I’m stoked to hear your review is spot on with what I hoped for it. Thanks and keep up the great work.
please make a review on thermals on the 2018 i9 Macbook Pro, comparing it to the 15x which is the same weight with much more features. I guess it will throttle to computational inexistence to maintain less than 100C and will burn mobo every 2 years (if not less), like older macbooks under heavy use.
*Best webcam tester in the world!!*
Always makes me smile
OMG! ITS HERE! Thanks Dave!
Dave Lee, I don't even bother waiting any more. I press the like button BEFORE I press play. I just know your videos are going to be clean and beautiful just like your desk setup.
aero 15x vs new razer blade 2018, we´d like to see that compartison
Love the shirt dude, raptors are killing it this year
Hey Dave,
I am Asking about the screen bleed, is it that bad as some people say???!!!, I am planning to order it and ship it from USA to the middle east, I don't wanna be shocked!
Best Rewiew (in general) ive seen so far on yt. wish i could give you more than 1 thumbs up.
im getting pretty annoyed...i keep coming back to this video, but i can't find anyone that has objectively tested the 4k screen on the Aero 15x, XPS 9570 or Razer Blade 15. how much longer do i have to wait ;-; i wish i could go back to using a 1080p screen on a 15.6 in screen, but i just can't. 3.5 years of the Panasonic 3k panel on my GS60 has spoiled me.
Emad did you pull the trigger meanwhile?
I have the aero 15x with 4k display and it is the Real deal. I haven't tested how color accurate the screen actually is, but to my eyes it seems EXTREMELY color accurate. There also is a review of the 4k model on Jarrodtech's channel.
I am probably late but I went from a Dell XPS 13 3200x1800 to a Razer Blade 15 1080p after I got into gaming and honestly it's not that big of a difference. At first, you'll notice it, but after like one week the display looked awesome. The 1080p screen also means really good battery life and lower price which honestly means a lot more to me.
Man do I love your hoodies!
I say go check Acer Predator Helios 300 and Dell G7
Im watching a video on a Gigabyte Aero 15X on a Gigabyte Aero 15X...
I didn't know that. That's depressing...
About to buy one myself. Can you tell me how it has been for you in the past 7 months? Please answer, i wanna know before i buy
Just know your lucky to have that laptop... it’s my dream laptop....
Been using mine for a month now and i love it. Awesome battery, not too loud, extremely portable.. would recommend!
@@2alleyezonme2 are you talking about the FHD or 4k version?
Wait on their website it says they have 100% adobe rgb, the video says 70 something %
(I think it was the 4K version)
100% SRGB maybe
Really enjoy your videos and I always watch just because they are interesting.
please do a video on the zephyrus M
THANK YOU FOR THE GS65 COMPARISON
i think someone should do a compilation of how many times dave opens and closes a laptop in his reviews ha
yeah ! was waiting for this video 💙💙💙
All of the beef for an unbeatable price of just 2299.99$
Not as pricey as an XPS or MacBook. It also has enough battery life difference to justify it.
for the battery life? hell yes
enjoy your RGB weights
before taxes
Cool, I'mma save up once I get my job. Glad I don't pay taxes lol.
WHAT
Thanks for making a video on this laptop.
Waiting for the review on Asus Zephyrus M, hope im not alone ha.............
No per key RGB...trashhhhh. big booty bezels... trashhhhh I like the zephyrus body tho
Aero seems nice but the design and the keypad looks "kinda not pretty"
Lelouch Lamperouge i actually am using it for about an year now. any questions. ask me.
Lelouch Lamperouge calm down damn
ALL HAIL LELOUCH
원상준 have you had any issues with it? I have heard the 15X has problems with its keyboard and fans? Also have you ever used Gigabytes customer service?
Thanks
All hail Lelouch! Long live Britannia!
thanks Dave 2 Dee
was a good review
liked how you steered it to creators and not gaming. awesome work as always
should do more reviews for creators please
thanks mate
you can deactivate the fans while idle..
Sanyex is it completely silent?
Can’t wait to pick one of these up!
5:51 😂😂😂
I really enjoy every review you do. More power to you sir.
ASUS GM 501 plz
Finally Dave I was about to call you out... Been waiting for this for a while now
Dave you think the raptors are gonna win this year??? #WeTheNorth
Honestly? No but I want them to so badly
6:28 Great comparison. However the MSRP of GS65 is not as sweet as you check more carefully. For $1800 GS65 you get only 256GB SSD, while for $2000 Aero15X you get 512GB SSD! Speaking of fair play, I believe Aero15X is even a little better than GS65 if we keep all configurations exactly the same.
cant wait for the asus gm501 review.. also the xps 15 2-in-1
That brightness is a real bummer! I went from a 2012 macbook pro to the msi gs65 thinking 5 year upgrade, don't need to worry about screen brightness! Whoops! Nice you're informing folks, definitely need more awareness of this problem (I've still not got used to it).
Is the 4k screen not as color accurate?
AMA 4k screen is 60hz and 100% srgb aswell as 100% adobe rgb
4K screen features wider color gamut but the same color accuracy as 1080p one
GIGABYTE reccomend this for music production? Thanks
yes cuz it features powerful 6-core CPU and versatile I/O port you will need like HDMI 2.0 or miniDP 1.4
GIGABYTE ohh yeah thank you, exited to purchase
Easy-to-understand review, a very good montage, nose picking and the conclusion are
all awesome.
Been waiting for this review from the best tech UA-camr 👌🙏
4:56 we are going to use headphones xD
5:11 we are going to use a gaming keyborard xD
5:30 we are going to use a gaming mouse xD
5:48 we are going to use a external Webcam xD
^ This. I thought this when he brought up the "faults" of the laptop.
Thanks!
Holy shit am I the only one that immediately recognise the black ops 2 fond on the keyboard :D
If I could ever have a game laptop my dream since 9years will be finally true, if I was you, I would be so extremely blessed to get all these laptops with great specs. Your videos are just so great I really like them
So expensive for the average Joe! I was hoping that at least Chinese companies would come up with a reasonable price.
Black Panther it’s really not that expensive. From what I see in the comments the majority of Dave’s audience seems to be teens without jobs, or people who work at Walmart. It’s a one time purchase, and spending $2000 once every few years is not beyond anyone who has a reasonable job
I'm not a teen and can't afford it. Most people barely makes ends meet, you see.
It is expensive.
Yes, it is worth what they are charging, when you look at the rest of the market.
But no doubt, this is a very expensive laptop.
No one said it was overpriced.
We said it was expensive.
You're preaching to the wrong people ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
your reviews are super!!!keep going like this!i am from Greece and I watch all your videos.i take Lenovo ideapad y700 15" its very good for games and movies.keep going your work!!!
Raptors, huh?
You always do great reviews, they are very informative, and to the point! Also, thank you for doing a side by side with the MSI!
5:54 i almost gagged..
DAmn !!! thanks for this review Dave ! now i'll to choice between
XPS 15 9570 > Work editing / gaming
and the
Aero 15 Gaming / Work editing
2.000$?
No thank you very much, I‘ll build an overkill PC with that much money.
Yeah, but you also have to account that it can be taken anywhere with 7.5 hours of battery life and 2kgs of weight. Also you've gotta buy yourseslf a display as good as here, shouldn't be neglected as well
I have an aero 15 and I love it. Gigabyte makes a good machine. Thanks for reviewing this one, I feel like they don't get enough press.
I have the Aero15 2017 and its a beauty of a laptop. I'll wait for the 2019 version to upgrade. Love the design as it doesn't look like a gaming laptop with LEDs everywhere and tacky colours.
Thank you for comparing with the msi gs65! Just what I was looking for for days
I just ordered the aero off memory Express it's going to be a massive upgrade from my hp-envy-envy 6 I am so excited
Basically, I'd like to ask for comments in those two matters:
1) What is your gaming experience using 15" laptop?
My go-to tech guy. Awesome vid Mr. Lee
Not everyone needs it, but I certainly do.
i really like you videos
the setup is classy and the video is perfection
super cool review - thanks
oh man I recently bought the Aero which has been an amazing product but now that they've released an even better version of it, I hope they allow for their customers to upgrade in the future
Good day Dave! We can't wait (our family) till you review the new line of the dell G series especially the G5 & G7 which is the replacement of their 7000 gaming series.
