When Rza ends his verse with, "protons electrons always cause explosions", it spells P.E.A.C.E, when you take the first letter of each word. They always did this kind of thing like when Rza said on another song, "positive energy always corrects errors", or in Gravediggaz he said "positive energy activates constant elevation". In a lot of Wu-Tang tracks you find these kind of things but most always go over people's heads because they don't know about it.
@keHill @@supremesun4580 Another one is when they say "witty unpredictable talent and natural game" spells Wu-Tang, or when Method Man says, "we usually take all niggaz garments".

That whole album is 🔥. I would listen to Wu back in the 90’s walking to HS and would get my brains blown to bits frfr fam Lol. Trust you’ve just scratched the surface 🙌
Wu was definitely a movement especially here in NY 30 years ago from '93 '94 and '95 was their Golden Era everything was Wu from the music to the merch they even had their own clothing stores for Wu Wear but you'll see that in Wu-Tang An American saga it was a dope time to be a teenager in High School back then for sure.
RZA is very deep with his lyrics. It is often difficult to understand what he is talking about. But when you understand it often leaves you speechless. When Robert Diggs is in RZA mode he's one of the best lyricists in hip hop in my opinion.
Don’t cheat yourself. Wear those headphones the right way so you can really listen to the production. This was made to be heard with both ears. Cheers.
I'm just so elated that young cats do they homework and see how lyrical dudes before them were. Many young MC's if they were smart would pick brains because the Nas's, Wu Tang's, Snoops, KRS One's, Big Daddy Kanes and many more are in their 50's plus and STILL GETTING SHOWS
I LOVE Rza's flow. On 36 Chambers (album) you can tell he mastered rhyming and making beats. SO after that shit, he started challenging himself and his flows became DOPE, in my opinion. Shit is OFF beat yet ON beat. I think he did that to show others how skilled he was. On some, 'if you know, you know' type of shit.
KRS ONE famously said “the East created it, the West Decorated it”… the lyricists definitely put their stamp on the East; Tribe Called Quest, Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy, Black Sheep etc were talking about topics and life and were fairly grimy but always verbose(they had a lot to say) whereas the west got caught up in that gang shit early on. You can sense the malaise in the music; we live in paradise but are overpoliced and caught up in a drug war and death literally creeps on every corner so you have that reflected in the lyrics that seem to glorify the violence. The west is a car culture so the beats reflected that. The bass and the hi hat and the Funk were the main components followed by a little ditty about how I f***** yo girl and got all this money off of dope. The top lyricist in this regard would have to be ICE T as he blended the two coastal styles He had west coast beats and east coast-type thought provoking tales that showed you the whole game not just the glamour. He is unmatched on the west. People forget that the west also includes the Bay Area. It’s a laid-back vibe there because the weed was always superior and prevalent. You had so many smooooth street cats telling Pimp Tales and you can’t forget about Rappin 4tay, Too Short and Celly Cel. Long story short I need you to react to ICE T “new Jack hustler”, Rappin 4-tay “playable club” and Celly Cel “it’s going down” Public Enemy “welcome to the Terrordome” Pete Rock and CL Smooth “they reminisce over you T.R.O.Y.” Digital Underground “same song” ✌🏼

Ok they were good but were they able to meet a commercial success? At the beginning RZA had to think above all about highlighting the guys who could be a hit. And we can say what we want but Method Man and ODB are the guys who were most likely to become very big stars in the wu. The others were good and even excellent, but they didn't have the charisma of the first two. As for the other bands next door, yes they were good but they lacked something. And business is something that RZA had understood well during the 5 years of his plan. Afterwards, he got lost in delusions that were a little too particular. Personally I don't like Bobby Digital for example. I would have liked that right after Forever he concentrates on Deck for example. With the buzz caused by Deck's verse about Triumph, that would have been cool.
So the intro is from a cult classic..."Shogun assassin" a must watch!...For a west coast recommendation, I suggest Cypress Hill "how I can just kill a man" a dope group of Latin American brothers.
