It's March 2024 and I've played this 5 times back to back. Gotta be one of the best remakes( should usually never be done) ever. Still a bumper! Still relevant and sound advice to the broken hearted. No? Play out a few times, move without restrictions till your singing from your heart. Repeat till you just don't care anymore.
White man in Manchester,UK,these lads are brilliant and under appreciated .Grew up in the sixties loving Motown and Soul and the seventies, eighties part of ninties. But nothing i have seen seen in the past twenty five years comes anywhere near the exuberance and spirit and sheer love of singing in a vocal group that these lads resurrected. Why did i feel i had to say white man? Probably the times we all live in.
No probably about it Colin....I'm 71 and have lived through the crazy "political correctness" era, we live in........Btw agree with your tamla/soul comments 100 %.........Music sadly missed 🤕
I used to work in the Gazebo wine bar in Argyle Street, London and these boys popped in when it was 'dance' night in the basement. They played this song and were the nicest group of young men. I love this song because I was able to dance with the Pasadenas to their own track. So friendly and they danced all night. 😊
The Pasadena's were a breath of fresh air in the 80's/90's. Even after all these years their music is still uplifting and joyful. Wish they would reform and maybe do small venues like Ronnie Scotts to showcase their vocal talents, I would definitely be first in line to buy tickets to see them
Times when singers sang in melody and perfect harmony, musicians played their thing with heart and soul, when writers and arrangers knew what sounded right. They made sounds that stayed with you for a lifetime. ❤ Today's music makers are not a patch 😢.
Just a brilliant soul group of their time, you never forget the words of their songs and where and what you were doing. British soul music at its best, that will live on.
Never recognised for their talent. Cut some serious dance moves in the Electric Ballroom Camden over 30 years ago ....... then they’re singing. U got this boys!
I come back to this seminal soul record time after time. It just makes me wish to get up and dance for ever. This piece of beauty is timeless. It should be blazed into the cosmos.
OMG Pasedenas are outstanding great upbeat tempo. Your feeling awesome right away. New York City would be proud of you singing their music 🎵🎶 from early 70s. Hope there is more music your Fantastic I can't stop singing.
I havent heard this for 28 years....wow it transported me back to that 10 yearold in his bedroom recording it off the radio. Wow just wow. Music really makes memories come back
Remember being bought this song for my birthday when I was about 9/10 I'm now 38 and it's always been a favourite of mine..so catchy and memorable..fantastic song never gets old and reminds me of when music was actually good
you forget all your troubles when you listen to mowtown. The memories come flooding back The dislikes must be people born in the 70s onwards. Otherwise, I don't understand.
Love this song. Bring's back good memories. Disco every Saturday night when people just had fun & did not take life being miserable. Easy vibe was the norm
Paul this was not MOTOWN. One of the writers was Thom bell, so this is more Philly sound. Phile as opposed to Detroit. If you think back to The O'jays, MFSB, Harold Melvin, 3 Degrees, Billy Paul, The Spinners, The Delfonics, The Stylistics and on and on --- look them up here and listen to classic Philly sounds
OMG !!! What an amazing NYC cover !!! - Now this is what you call a boy band !!! - An 80's & early 90's Temptations !!! - Well done lads!!! ❤❤❤ Nigel Wellski.
This came on the radio yesterday in London while I was at work busy serving customers and it kept going round in my head so I had too search for it. Amazing piece of work this song...
This is one hell of a bangin tune, so soulful and up-beat, I would put it up there with tunes by the four tops and the temptations, great music like this will span generations, its timeless.
Nope I'm here, someone who grew up with this music and I still love it, makes me feel young and there's nothing wrong with that, dancing round my kitchen on my own, so many memories and they are all mine xx with help from this music xx
When one has a blow to ones feelings, don't cry because it was for the best. Pick yourself up, and move forward till real love shows itself, such like this song.
New York City original was damn fine, but this is w-a-y up there in the stratosphere. Brilliant song, brilliant video - it's absolutely top notch. The days of our lives. Mel Cornwell.
The old man dancing in the video is my grandad. Man I miss him🥲
How Beautiful!❤
How did he get to do the video?
