This snare is the closest thing I could find to the mapex sledgehammer ( discontinued ) which supposedly has amazing reviews from many soundguys.

I have the sledgehammer and comparing it to this video they sound exactly the same to me (the persuader might even be slightly better/upgraded)

ive put an Evans heavyweight dry on it ! What do you use ?

Sounds amazing.. gives a bit of a ring but that can be fixed
