Controversial take here, but as some one who as owned both (different model black panther but still) the Mapex is just built way better and is a much more durable instrument.
I tried to love Ludwig snares for a really long but after having to replace so many components over the years I just got sick of them. The black panther stuff has some of the highest quality components I’ve ever seen on drums in the price bracket.

Most ppl in the industry spell it atomizer but it is in fact pronounced optimizer.
