    THIS GUY! Dr. Lustig has been a hero of mine for years because he provided me with the knowledge that led to a paradigm shift that protects me from the pro-profit, manipulative tactics that were influencing my choices, behaviors, and interactions with others. You simply can't unsee the truth, and to quote Henry David Thoreau, -
    "Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth."

    Dr. Lustig is a God of infinite information and wisdom! I am addicted to all-of his videos. He should run for a president.
    Sharing his videos with friends and family. He should do Netflix documentary to reach further. I am changing my diet and removing processed foods from my diet. My whole family loves home cooked vegetable meals with lots of fiber. We love you for helping the humanity. Thank you. 😊

    We can buy pleasure, but we cannot buy happiness. That’s a statement I will use. What a good analogy for what we see going wrong in this country.

      Pleasure is addictive but happiness is not.
      Pleasure can be bought and happiness is not.
      Pleasure is individual while happiness is social.Pleassure is serotonin mediated while pleasure is dopamine receptors involved.Very good lessons.

    I have six backyard chickens. All their lives they were on organic feed that has no molasses. To save money I switched to a cheaper feed and you can smell the molasses. When I made the switch one chicken became afraid and wouldnt leave the nest box, it became fearful of me. I switched back to organic feed and the next day it came out of the nest box and started following me around again, totally changed it's behavior for the better. Now one week later its behavior continues to improve.

On our last day, we will not be wishing for more time at the office, more money, or cool things, but we will be wanting more time to share with the people we care about and love. I’ve lost everything because of this. I have severe pain and very strange and extremely uncomfortable symptoms that never end. I can’t eat or eliminate normal bowel movements etc, severe autonomic and autoimmune dysfunction. I can’t sweat, my skin feels different from the inside, everything is different and my brain is in complete darkness. I cannot sleep because of something wrong in my brain and nothing has helped. I haven’t slept for a year, I have aged so much and my skin and body looks like an old lady I need a miracle. I’m only 39, I wasn’t ready to die yet and living this way is actually not life either. Not at all.

    Very interesting podcast. I got a bit disoriented by the price elasticity issue. I searched the Internet and I found that it is exactly the opposite. Any idea about that?

    • @kenadams5504
      @kenadams5504 2 роки тому +11

      The idea is that when the price of fastfood /soda is increased , the consumption level is maintained . When the price of foods that aid serotonin production is increased , consumption levels decrease . Therefore , the short term pleasure affect of sugar foods , is what consumers pay more money for.We will not pay more for the long term happiness Whole Foods bring us . This shows the relationship between "money expenditure and pleasure" , as opposed to "money expenditure and happiness ". Pleasures can be acquired quickly with money , but long term happiness cannot.

    • @TerryJLaRue
      @TerryJLaRue Рік тому +1

      Elasticity works both ways. For example, the price of salt is inelastic. If salt price goes down, people don't buy more; they buy the same amount. If the price goes up, people don't buy less; they buy the same amount. That's one reason you rarely see salt on sale.
