Not only can you explore the mine on a tour, but you can also find some of the best Tourmaline in the world right here in California! In this video, we'll show you all the hidden treasures the Tourmaline Mine has to offer, and how you can explore them on your own. Whether you're looking for a unique and fun California gemstone tour or just some beautiful rocks to decorate your home, the Tourmaline Mine is worth a visit!
I used to live near there. Been there more times than I can say. Just an FYI, the entire area can be rock hounded all through the valley up to Temecula. Stop at road cuts and any of the dozens of dry creek beds up all those canyons. Before all the houses and winery's covered the area, you could just walk through the sand and brush and pick up museum quality minerals everywhere. Pala mine is a fantastic place. My family has pulled massive green and pink T from there.
Not the valley near the Oceanview Mine.
Is this still feasible? Worth the money to make the trip?
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: You motivate me to keep taking care of myself and keep up with my physical therapy regimen. I dream of being able to crystal hunt with you Bryan. If not in this life... I'll catch you in the " big mines in the sky"! Till then ...I'll be in your knapsack in spirit as I enjoy the beautiful places you and your mighty pebble pup Matrix take me. Blessings upon our journeys together ❤️!
This is an epic place to go search for gems! Tell them I sent you!
If you would like to join in one a dig like this, join the crystal clubhouse club on fb!

Ive always wanted to go to oceanview but I dont like how they give you a dump truck of stuff to look through. id rather go in the mine and waive my liability! lol

Looking forward to meeting him someday hopefully so I can ride it with you.
That was so many varieties of minerals.
Sorry about the smashed finger.
Cool
Ouch my absolutely favorite tourmaline. My disease cousin hand pound gold and silver jewelry. Water melon tourmaline we’re here go to I’ve got slices 1/2 “ incased round silver leaves 🍃 and ring 💍 and crystal pendants. Been years since I’ve worn them after her passing. Thank you for inspiring me to ware them again
Love the gentleman's shirt on the back...I DIG pegmatites.
So dope…
There are some veins of black tourmaline in eastern PA, just north of Philly. And every once in a while, there are tiny bicolor pink-green tourmalines.
My hubby is taking me to pala mine in July 😁 is the place you went and option for the public for pay to dig too
Man everything is so different there! Totally different geology than I’m used to but it used to be a whole other continent so I guess that’s expected.
So i like it
Wow! Beautiful tourmaline! I hope your finger is ok. Ouch! 😊
Pegmatites are nature's treasure hoards. Always a good choice for looking for shinies.
Whaaaaaat 🙏👍🍀
Went to tailing pile in emarkd village n.c. found tins of tourmaline
I'm only about 20 miles south from there. Been to the casino many times but never the mine, Yet. 😉
How did the minerals decayed?? thats a first one for me
😮
can you please tell me how to tell the difference, when looking, between a citrine & a hematoid? 🙏🏼✨
yessssirrrrrr whaaatttttttt
👏🏻👌🏻👏🏻
Hi I was just wondering but are you going to do anymore videos with Amos?
My aunt lived up the road and used to buy stones from there and send em to me.
When it comes the decayed Kunzite and blue tourmaline that you showed us, as you crushed them into colored powder- what causes that?
The earth is a giant crystal!
👍🖐❤️
Sorry about your finger, hope it heals soon.
My family is planning to go there but don’t know how to get there, We ‘re coming from the south.
Do you get to keep everything you find?
Yes sir
May I ask if this is your job? And if so, how can I start a career like this? I’ve always wanted to mine for a job.. it seems fun, despite all the obvious dangers
Can you find ruby or saphire start ??????
nice :))
man id kill to go rock hunting. i do scioly (science olympiad) rocks and minerals for my school team but my parents are never interested :(
Sayyy-whaaaat
Do you have to be apart of a group to go to some of these places
Lots of these places are open to the public, but I do group digs. Also, I have a Facebook page that I use for those.
@The Crystal Collector cool thank you I live about 2 hours from the Hercumer mine. My wife and I want to get into doing stuff like this I absolutely love gems in the raw
I hope your fanger feels better soon 😢
Hello
6:14 topaz
HI THERESA!!!! 😍🤩
Does anyone know if Brian does this full time or does he have a "normal" job like a 9-5 somewhere else to supplement income? I've always wondered this but never asked until now. Just curious really...
Yes, I’ve been doing this full-time for about five years, I also sell the crystal some things that I find, but it’s a full-time job between the two.
Before that I was selling crystals for the previous 15 years though, that’s how I’ve always made money since my early 30s
@@TheCrystalCollector I feel like you've won at life bc I work a job I don't like and am buried in bills and I watch you're stuff and just wish I took that route in life.
That is a Watermelon Terk!
👍
👍👍👏👏👏👏👋
Crystal found a crystal
What kinda Ewok/Bacca pupper is that?
I don't understand why they dig into the mountain instead of starting at the top and working your way down.
Two main reasons: environmental (mountain-top removal is hell on the ecology of the area and I don't think it's allowed in California), and the seams with the best crystals don't always start at the surface. They meander with the "folds" of tectonic action. It's not a mountain made of pretty rocks--they grow in lines, zig-zags and pockets through the bedrock.
Yr hand?😂😂😂
With all the digging and mining going on in the USA, you guys are going to split the continent into several other continents by 2025 😂
Ok I understand it's your go to move but the whaaaat is just played out. I mean save it for really big important moments 😆
