    Thank you! Bought a home with a really nice boiler setup using a Riello 40 gun but my nozzle went tonight and luckily there were spares already in the maintenance room and your guide just saved me from a probably 500$ service call. Much appreciated!

    That's what I'm talking about ! This is where 88% of people who do try to work on their own units end up screwing up , to big of nozzle can equal flooding and excessive fuel use ! And it's really important to adjust the points to ignite the fuel !

    At 0:54 when you remove the nut, what is that connected to? My boilers leaking from the other side where the slotted screw in the nut is. Is that for bleeding? Thanks

      Ya that sounds like the bleed port that's leaking.

    Hi Mark... I just wanted to ask your advice...i have a burner identical to this one...the oil ran out and I reprimed the line and have good stream of oil out of prime port..very little bot froth every 5 seconds but otherwise straight coloured oil. however after closing prime port...when I press that red button...it will make noise for 4 to 8 s seconds. . Then it fires and burns for 10 seconds and stops. I also notice that I can turn fan on independently from burner..i don't remember that before.. Also it's not self starting as it should because the thermostat is set higher than temperature. Is there a reset that has to be done?

      Look for brass nipple need to bleed to take air out in line. Just open a little bit put coke bottle to catch oil and fire the boiler red bottom after 2 or 3 times and it will start

      I can't see the other reply. On mine you have the bleed the air door shutter cylinder as well or it won't run. It will start, no fire , then shut back down because no fuel is getting to the nozzle

    Can a bad nozzle cause short cycling???? Cause thats what my furnace is doing… i changed the filter from pt1 of ur videos and i checked that pump screen and it had black sludge on half of the screen while the other half was clean. Soo i thought i found the problem but its still short cycling,,, and FYI,, i live in a remote isolated area. We have no certified furnace guy around here.

    • @MrAlexmiele8910
      @MrAlexmiele8910 2 роки тому

      Ya, the nozzle or gunline could have that same sludge, while not as severe as your strainer, it could still have gunk in there stopping it from getting the proper fuel to ignite to the nozzle.
      Take her out and spray it with carb cleaner after removing the nozzle.

    Sir What is the 45⁰S and 45⁰R

    • @MrAlexmiele8910
      @MrAlexmiele8910 2 роки тому

      45° is the angle of the pattern and the R or H is the actual pattern. You can do a quick Google search to understand what R or H means. H means Hollow. Not sure what R is.

    Do you have to bleed after this ?

    • @dreammachine5014

      Only if you cut your knuckles on something.

    • @MrAlexmiele8910
      @MrAlexmiele8910 2 роки тому

      Depends on if you have a 2 pipe system, a supply and return(not typical in residential boilers. Or if you have a 1 pipe system.
      1 pipe system you have to bleed.
      2 pipe system you don't.

    • @MrAlexmiele8910
      @MrAlexmiele8910 2 роки тому

      Set the angle spray?
      That's dependent on the nozzle you use.
