hello friends, how are you there, I'm Ratman from Indonesia, one of the repairmen for all Burner brands, one of which is the Weishoupt, Riello FBR, Baltur, Ecomark etc.
As a DIY I am careful when I touch items such as this . On my Riello , I found 2 different nozzles were used by past service companies . I called Riello and was told BOTH were undersized , based on boiler GPH . I put in what Riello recommended . I have also seen " pros " on video adjust the electrodes " by eye " and use odd size wrenches , and even pliers , on the oil line and bleeder . Which is unbelievable that they don't have the metric sizes if doing this daily . Or even a small adjustable wrench . Great video . Always be aware WHO you are watching and WHERE the information comes from . It may " work or be fine " , but what are these manuals and specifications for ?
Thank you for this video. One thing I did not see mentioned is the distance from the top of the electrodes to the top of the nozzle . I see a 4mm gap between the electrodes and a 5mm distance to the center of the nozzle. What is the height over the nozzle?
I can’t loosen the screw to slide the porcelean block for making the necessary adjustment. It appears as though it’s rusted in place and I’m afraid of breaking it. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi thanks for the video. I’m getting oil into the electrical I believe the oil is coming down the electrodes into the electronics. Do have any idea what my problem is?
My Riello 3M has been mis firing when initailly calling for heat, it trys to fire 4 or 5 times before it stays lit, it does however always lights and runs fine. Any suggestions when I should look for?
Great video! I think this is what I need to correct on my Riello 5. Its recently been taking 4 to 7 starts before running. I've checked the photocell and its fully functional. Fuel is present, as there is a fog of atomized fuel in the burn chamber. What would be the most likely culprit for causing the elongated no-ignition? Adjustment of the electrodes?
@@easy_two I managed to get it down to one misfire per ignition. I suspect it is to do with the photo cell feedback loop in the power module. I had touched up all solder connections on the module circuit board. Polished the connections of the photocell. I suspect the photocell is the culprit.
Cleaning and adjusting the electrodes resolved this for me. There was significant black soot buildup on the ends which I scraped off with a flathead screwdriver.
Thank for fast response. If the ceramic become brittle and small part had broken off while servicing it could this be a problem for the burner to start? As I'm having problems on the riello g5x model it's firing up ok then it's going off but fan still running but it doesn't go to lock out keeps trying to start up gets to 8 bar oil pressure then goes out??

You can also use a 3/16 Allen wrench put it thru slot on ceramics to retention head to center and set gap

There are notches in the electrodes, do they have to be lined up with springs
Great video. I just bought new electrodes and transformer
Not tuneup as looked up and need to replace filter and Nozzle. Then I'm sure you can get into this stuff for fine tuning video

Hello. Same story here. Did you ever find the cause/resolution for this issue? Thank you in advance.

Adjustment of the electrodes?
Hello. Did you ever figure out the cause/resolution? I am also getting a delayed ignition with 4-7 tries before ignition occurs.

@@easy_two let me know how you fair out. I'd like to zero out the misfire.

Hi there. I was in a lot of trouble. Burner got up and worked for 30 seconds. It turned off. I changed the nozzle
Are the points important..was have hit and miss lighting...readjusted the electrodes. But noticed points are gone
I found it helpful
What's the correct name for the measuring tool you're using?
Old furnace guy showed how to use a nickel as a Guage...Is this close ?
tthe most important 5mm measurment you didnt show enough ??? air intake please show starting point how to read the smpke and final adjustment.
If the ceramic part in electrodes where broken could this be a problem for burner to start?

I've done that plus the electrodes are sparking but won't know until I get a new photo cell tomorrow to see if it this.
👍
less waffle = better watch time percentage
